I was so inspired by this video I wrote an introductory narration that I can read aloud while this plays on a projector screen behind me, to really set the mood for the adventure. A few lines are borrowed from the introduction of TheAlexandrian's review. If anyone cares to perhaps do similar with this video, here! Speak slowly, and take a breath between each line. I'm pretty pleased with the narration timing :D! I added timestamps for ongoing reference. 0:05 "Adventure. Legends speak of great heroes overcoming foes great and small, be it for riches or glory... 0:16 These stories bring hope to an otherwise gloom-besotted world. 0:21 Whispers of Dark forces have brought you here, ready to forge your own story. 0:28 The denizens of Ten-Towns - ten settlements clustered around the lakes at the center of the Dale, nestled between the Spine of the World and the Great Glacier - grow increasingly desperate for a spring which never comes. 0:44 The cold of the wintry north has leeched into the hearts of men, corrupting souls, and shattering dreams... Nearly all hope is lost. 0:57 Surrounded by darkness, will you be the flame that rekindles the light of hope?" ... I'll then set the scene of them being at the tavern, including something about faint memories or dreams of the long-lost sun rising over the mountains to establish the darkness of the realm, despite so much sun in the video. 😅
