A pity he suppressed his attitude on this series. To me as an Englishman the anti-English stuff was always his funniest material. This series was just too vanilla and formulaic (they could have flown in any old comedian to present the same material). I wasn't surprised it didn't run long. Almost as sad as that lame American sitcom Billy Connolly did.
Used to watch all his programmes on tele, still hilarious after all this time. Nothing matches this nowadays.
