@@dkant4511 So no other pianist does this except Levit: and pianists do weird things in standard repertoire all the time. We know that Czerny wasn't always reliable and Beethoven could easily have notated this if he'd wanted. Such a sweeping generalisation as 'two note slur groupings are compressed' sounds like nonsense, sorry.
