The second movement is too fast and the semi-quavers are distorted

Semiquavers are supposed to be compressed according to Czerny Beethoven's prized student

@@robinhagues8873 Carl Czerny: On the Proper Performance of all Beethoven's Works for Piano. Btw do you really think Levit would present such a bizarre rendition before this crowd without having a good reason? Just asking... All two note slur groupings are compressed in Beethoven. This was the hip scholarship to say I REALLY know how to play Beethoven when I was a fledgling. Glad to educate here 😂

@@dkant4511 So no other pianist does this except Levit: and pianists do weird things in standard repertoire all the time. We know that Czerny wasn't always reliable and Beethoven could easily have notated this if he'd wanted. Such a sweeping generalisation as 'two note slur groupings are compressed' sounds like nonsense, sorry.

@@robinhagues8873 Czerny was Beethoven's student and Levit isn't the only one that does this, especially for op.78. Levit exaggerates here sure! Take it or leave it. I enjoyed his performance. Matters of taste. Whatever
