- "Rhythm of the Rain" is a song performed by The Cascades, released in November 1962. It was written by Cascades band member John Claude Gummoe. On March 9, 1963, it rose to number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In March 1963, the song was a top 5 hit in the United Kingdom.

I'm 75, and bought the album by the Cascades just for that song. I love that song. 😁. Color me crazy.

A beautiful rendition on a beautiful guitar, an Apache 50th Anniversary edition. I have the same model (No.162) an absolute dream to play. Both you and the guitar do total justice to that tune, one I also like to play. I'm 75yrs old and so can remember the song when it was first released!
Also, like you, I started playing at aged 12 and then did very little after my 20's but started again about 10yrs ago just for my own enjoyment and I'm loving it!
