Wow ! Thank you for this magnificent rendition of a stirring up tempo masterpiece.I say this as a massive fan of Mark Knopfler who has recently retired from touring. No doubt he will continue with composing and hopefully recording.Those glorious sailing ships of old are something else !The Tall Ships Parade brings it all back, the history and way of life of those seafarers of long ago.Thanks again you National Treasure.🌹❤

I loved the recordings he did with Chet Atkins, and The Everly Brothers. Especially "Why Worry"
I fear we are the last generation, to be able to appreciate our history, as it is fast being consigned to the dustbin.
But that's another matter! You will be pleased to know that "English Heritage" have slapped a preservation order on me! Lol.

just love this song a great cover , and as in the final scene of the film in , telephone box in the phone box and this magic song plays , the late fulton mackye (the beachcomber in the film ) always reminds me off my late grandfather , and my time at his home on the west coast of scotland at CRINAN , cheers ritchie .
