Yeah, sounds about right. But I also think it's a really cool way for newer devs to start getting their feet wet in game development, which is awesome. Making a mod that adds something small but cool into a game is a lot more manageable and easier to start with than a full on game to start with. Games with massive modding community’s as they tend to have a ton of modding guides. Fnf is also a really easy one to mod, since it has engines which make modding why easier (I would use psych). I like how Spiff leaves more than most people in these stream things, like it’s entirely unnecessary for me to hear “I’ll do the Freddy repair and then probably call it a day” and certain small things between him and chat wouldn’t always make the cut for other TH-camrs’ uploads, but Spiff leaving them in lets me have more video and context and fun without it being as awkward as actually just watching a full upload of the stream, I feel like I’m getting the best experience I can possibly get without actually being there Probably part of why Spiff’s one of my favorite people to watch
He even puts texts onscreen and voiceovers, it feels like I’m joining the party in a different way rather than being shown pictures by someone who was and taunted that I missed it I know this is all stupid but just idk it’s how my brain takes it
agreed! When I've checked out the actual streams, it looks a lot like Spiff mostly cuts out periods of silence, too! So we're getting a lot of what those who attend the stream get (content-wise), but escape any waiting through silence. :)
The fact that you either manually counted or did the maths of how many seconds each one spawned times the stream time ect means you are the true Monty fan, I respect

It's such an easy fix and there's already functions made specifically to do that, they just didn't do it. I like steel wool a lot, but I really don't think they know what they're doing half the time.
I think it makes more sense to see the door in the vent though. The door goes up. Where does it go to? It's not like the metal slab can roll up in that tiny gap. It'd make more sense if the end of those vents specifically had a texture that showed the gap the door goes through wen opened though.

I wanna say, from the beginning of the video, when I watched this on the Vod's channel I noticed the Monty's always spawn facing to the wesr of the Pizzaplex, and most of the way through the game it seems Spiff had not realized this. It wouldn't help *all* of the time but it would certainly make things a little easier to keep that in mind.

monty's are the hardest animatronic to face in my opinion. he's fast, has those sunglasses, and has a lunge. plus he seems to always be on my ass when im going through monty golf. and once he chased me all the way from where you get the mazercise key all the way to the charge station near the entrance of the daycare. and this was end game and i hadnt saved my progress in a while so i was screaming my head off and shitting myself. but hey i made it to that charge station in time lmao

About the mario movie, here's an interesting piece of information, Chris Pratt said he won't go hard on the Italian accent, and Mario's voice will be less high pitched than in the games. He said Mario will still talk and act like Mario, but adapted to better fit a Hollywood movie. Also, Mario will talk a lot in the movie.
The thing is Pratt can't win. I don't think he gets that what people don't like about his involvement is an extension of frustration that guys like him who don't need the money are taking work away from talented Voice actors like Martinet who do need it. SAG has been screwing over small actors for a long time and people who love animated films don't want Hollywood stars in those movies.
@@Faucetofstone Honestly I feel like it's a combination of people going "wow that actor is amazing i want him" (like what Kojima did when he hired Kiefer Sutherland and Norman Reedus) and Hollywood wanting big names so the movie can make more money (like what Illumination does on a constant basis.) I feel like it was a bad choice to have Mario speak so much. In the games he barely says anything but speaks more through his expressions. Having Martinent speak as Mario constantly would not work, but having a few lines here and there in the movie would be perfect. A shame we aren't going to get that though

spiff may not be the fastest runner, but he will for damn sure glitch/mod the game to a nigh unplayable state then get the world first run in a new category.
They don't spawn with the ability to notice you. If a staff bot sees you it's all over but otherwise there's just occasionally a harmless alligator in the way of where you are trying to go.
Diving into the montyverse of madness is something I did not expect to see. Now all we need is for the mod to be updated to have all the different versions of monty alternately spawn so that you can have the full montyverse experience. Great work Spiff!
I mean, for the speedrunner question, I do sometimes catch myself doing that. Watched someone run a red light the other day and my first thought was 'damn they must've made them clientside' before my train of thought caught like a stuttering engine. Also security breach mods that fix the game maybe
On the question at 16:44 I’m also a speedrunner (for a 3d platformer) and speedrunning has shaped how I think about certain activities where the goal is to be efficient (like, grocery shopping, where I just want to get my items and leave asap), and it’s certainly been a boost in my self confidence, but by and large I’m still a lazy ass watching hour long TH-cam videos
i cant believe months later after the games release spiff is still running this game in new and exciting ways- props to him for finding a type of content that works- somehow im still interested in this game after seeing hours and hours of it because of his videos

Yeah that would be good, and they should also make every animatronic not despawn after doing certain things aside from a select few instances like after getting kicked out of the daycare or dismantling them or like when you go to the fluid tank area so they just freely roam around the pizzaplex, it would also make the cameras actually have a good use

Very good video, a bit long but so worth it. This stream was such an entertaining one to sit through, every twist and turn was more hilarious or insane than the last. Trans map bot, EZ Clap after the backstage pass, the hour spent in just the lobby. Definitely a great mod, made the game challenging for even such a seasoned speedrunner! Spiff has done it again
spiff finished the game in 6:51:18, which is pretty impressive. i mean, i’ve seen slower times without ANY mods. 6 hours is 360 minutes, aka 21,600 seconds. 51 minutes is 3,060 seconds. add it all together and you get 24,678 seconds total. meaning that the total amount of monty was ABOUT 1,645. excluding the “canon” monty. fighting off 1,645 monty spawns is… well it’s a lot of monty.

I like how Spiff leaves more than most people in these stream things, like it’s entirely unnecessary for me to hear “I’ll do the Freddy repair and then probably call it a day” and certain small things between him and chat wouldn’t always make the cut for other TH-camrs’ uploads, but Spiff leaving them in lets me have more video and context and fun without it being as awkward as actually just watching a full upload of the stream, I feel like I’m getting the best experience I can possibly get without actually being there
Probably part of why Spiff’s one of my favorite people to watch
He even puts texts onscreen and voiceovers, it feels like I’m joining the party in a different way rather than being shown pictures by someone who was and taunted that I missed it
I know this is all stupid but just idk it’s how my brain takes it
agreed! When I've checked out the actual streams, it looks a lot like Spiff mostly cuts out periods of silence, too! So we're getting a lot of what those who attend the stream get (content-wise), but escape any waiting through silence. :)
I also like whenever he puts context as random text on screen, it's really nice

I'm still upset and surprised that Security Breach gave ZERO answers to anything we had before it launched. It only asked more questions that we still don't know the answers too.
It pisses me off! I was already annoyed that Help Wanted retconned everything that came before it, but at least it introduced some really interesting lore. Who is Vanny? Who is tape lady? What happened to the player after being swapped? How did Glitchtrap/Malhare escape?

I think it makes more sense to see the door in the vent though. The door goes up. Where does it go to? It's not like the metal slab can roll up in that tiny gap. It'd make more sense if the end of those vents specifically had a texture that showed the gap the door goes through wen opened though.

I wanna say, from the beginning of the video, when I watched this on the Vod's channel I noticed the Monty's always spawn facing to the wesr of the Pizzaplex, and most of the way through the game it seems Spiff had not realized this.
It wouldn't help *all* of the time but it would certainly make things a little easier to keep that in mind.

monty's are the hardest animatronic to face in my opinion. he's fast, has those sunglasses, and has a lunge. plus he seems to always be on my ass when im going through monty golf. and once he chased me all the way from where you get the mazercise key all the way to the charge station near the entrance of the daycare. and this was end game and i hadnt saved my progress in a while so i was screaming my head off and shitting myself. but hey i made it to that charge station in time lmao

About the mario movie, here's an interesting piece of information, Chris Pratt said he won't go hard on the Italian accent, and Mario's voice will be less high pitched than in the games. He said Mario will still talk and act like Mario, but adapted to better fit a Hollywood movie. Also, Mario will talk a lot in the movie.
The thing is Pratt can't win. I don't think he gets that what people don't like about his involvement is an extension of frustration that guys like him who don't need the money are taking work away from talented Voice actors like Martinet who do need it. SAG has been screwing over small actors for a long time and people who love animated films don't want Hollywood stars in those movies.
@@Faucetofstone Honestly I feel like it's a combination of people going "wow that actor is amazing i want him" (like what Kojima did when he hired Kiefer Sutherland and Norman Reedus) and Hollywood wanting big names so the movie can make more money (like what Illumination does on a constant basis.)
I feel like it was a bad choice to have Mario speak so much. In the games he barely says anything but speaks more through his expressions. Having Martinent speak as Mario constantly would not work, but having a few lines here and there in the movie would be perfect. A shame we aren't going to get that though
I really hope that means we're going to get Chris Pratt as gruff Brooklyn Mario à la the Super Mario Bros Super Show.

They don't spawn with the ability to notice you. If a staff bot sees you it's all over but otherwise there's just occasionally a harmless alligator in the way of where you are trying to go.

I mean, for the speedrunner question, I do sometimes catch myself doing that. Watched someone run a red light the other day and my first thought was 'damn they must've made them clientside' before my train of thought caught like a stuttering engine.

On the question at 16:44 I’m also a speedrunner (for a 3d platformer) and speedrunning has shaped how I think about certain activities where the goal is to be efficient (like, grocery shopping, where I just want to get my items and leave asap), and it’s certainly been a boost in my self confidence, but by and large I’m still a lazy ass watching hour long TH-cam videos
I do like the occasional "If I can't see them, they can't see me" strat. An ol' reliable that never fails!

Yeah that would be good, and they should also make every animatronic not despawn after doing certain things aside from a select few instances like after getting kicked out of the daycare or dismantling them or like when you go to the fluid tank area so they just freely roam around the pizzaplex, it would also make the cameras actually have a good use
also make the AI less predictable in certain areas. like the beginning mall area with chica, she just goes in a circle infinitely

Trans map bot, EZ Clap after the backstage pass, the hour spent in just the lobby. Definitely a great mod, made the game challenging for even such a seasoned speedrunner! Spiff has done it again

6 hours is 360 minutes, aka 21,600 seconds.
51 minutes is 3,060 seconds.

meaning that the total amount of monty was ABOUT 1,645. excluding the “canon” monty.
