As half Cherokee, I am80yo and appreciate this video. It is shameful that this government had and has tried to rid the world of native Americans. Those who want the the land are killers...and I am not referring to the Natives. I am sickened by these actions. There greedy people deserve the wrath of G_d.

If you go back to the Latin and take apart the name "Government,"
      To Govern means
      "To restrain,"
      Or to
      "Rule Over."
"Ment" in Latin is the "Mind" and is the root of the English word
      "Mental."
      So Government literally means
      To Restrain the Mind,
Or to Rule Over the Mind
      of its Citizens.
Its very nature is largely negative and it takes on a life of its own, devouring everything in its way (Like the Tribes People of N. America) until it devours all it can devour, then it devours itself.

Mercy for Leonard, he has been a fall guy for the criminal and illegal activity, including murder to get at the resources of the Black Hills, particularly the uranium they use for nuclear weapons and bombs to threaten the world with. Leonard has been a true warrior and held strong against this vicious system of exploration, expulsion, and expansionism. It is as cruel, evil and inhumane as anything that is being perpetrated in Palestine today. Leonard has paid with his life for the crimes they are too weak and privileged to ever stand trial for. He has rotted away in a cage far too long in a place he never belonged. He had the right to stand with the People and their right of self determination as well as full rights to the sovereignty of their lands. Release Leonard from these federal cages he has fulfilled the sentences they were to weak to stand trial and be convicted of. Give Leonard back the blue skies, the touch and smile of those of his family and friends. Let Leonard walk in any direction without walls, fences, or a shotgun aimed at his body. May Leonard walk with the wind, may it carry him home again.

I can't believe that Leonard is still in prison. He is a wronged man from a wronged people. I proudly wear a 'Leonard Peltier' t-shirt in England and I'm glad that many people know who he is and what he represents over here. It was and always has been about land and wealth. People seem more obsessed with financial wealth than spirituality and the well being of their fellow man.

Deer hunting got me involved in this. Though I'm a white man. I was eating a meal at a truck stop in Washington county IL. I sat down at the coffee bar and to my left was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. She was Lakota, she was wearing a fringed leather jacket. Later on after hearing about the "White Calf Buffalo Woman , " I decided it wasn't her. After all she was driving a truck, but that question is still in limbo.
She didn't like white people, but I didn't know that until I struck up a conversation.
She asked me if I knew why she was called a Indian. I did. I told her that I like the Indigenous people. She ask me if I knew about Grandma Turtle. I didn't so she told me. I think she was in disbelief of me, and I was totally impressed with her. She was respectful she was kind even though I could tell she doubted me. The last thing she said before she left was, " If you want to get behind something, free Lenard Poitier. "
I have contacted my Senator several times with no success.
Maybe now that the Doctrine of discovery is gone maybe we should all try. Not just the Sioux , but all 500 tribes. The entity we are actually up against is the wealth of Rome.
    They understand large numbers!
This would be good practice for a global federation of tribes if we all tried one more time. I just got done commenting on this.
    Free Lenard and free Assange.

Leonard Peltier deserves a new trial. Fast forward to the present day: multi national corporations running pipelines through native nations’ lands for oil and gas profits without regard for environmental concerns, and using paramilitary tactics. It’s all connected. What an eye opening and powerful documentary. Thanks for sharing.

Your wrong about the gas and oil pipelines they're more concerned about the environment than people think and they treat the environment with kid gloves very careful and respectful of the environment and the tribes who's land the pipelines cross are paid extremely well for crossing native land and they hire native American people to work with and for them and pay them well so you're misinformed

All of the Indians who were in the White Clay Creek encampment, on that morning, said that when they were all just waking up and making breakfast, they had scouted the area and immediately saw that they were completely surrounded by SWAT teams, SD State Police, FBI agents, BIA Police, and a platoon of local White ranchers. The Indians said they all feared for their lives and all fully expected to be massacred that day.
It is believed, by most experts of this case, that Agents Coler and Williams were intentionally sent onto the Jumping Bull property in order to draw a warning shot from the AIM Indians, or to engage them in a shootout so that the cavalry could be "justified" in annihilating the AIM encampment.

It seems like it was self defence to me. I heard about that battle. It was so shocking to me. That we can break treaties with the people that was blessed with the land. The government rounded the Indians up gave them land and has been taking it away from them ever since they gave it to them. Very sad. The treaties need to be left in place and they need to be allowed to have soviern status.

Sensenbrenner is one of the most cold-hearted creatures that existed. He spoke of native people as if they are simply an obstacle to capital gain to be removed at any cost. This pains my heart to watch and listen to his rhetoric. Unfortunately, this attitude is fundamental to the colonialist everywhere he goes. It is innate to him. Evil thrives in him.

FBI agents were causing all sorts of trouble on the Reservations of the Dakotas at this time . They were stoming all sorts of flames and turning people against eachither. This was right after wounded knee 73 if I'm not mistaken. The agents Leonard " shot " had no business on the reservation that day. They never identified themselves and they were armed . They came to start trouble and got what they were looking for . Again I say. Whether or not Leonard was guilty, he has served his time. Over 30 years. He has paid his debt to society. He deserves to be free.

Challenge the “implied consent” of a birth certificate. Challenge it in court that tricking the parents into signing it, does not constitute as “implied consent” to the Cestui Que Vie act of 1666. No Man or Woman with their own Corona or Crown as it were, is under any laws. Man is born FREE and will remain FREE forever! An act is not LAW. Law of the Land is not the the same as the Law of the sea. Release Leonard the FREEMAN NOW!! It is declared by GOD himself that He that is born in HIS image, are born and shall REMAIN FREE FOREVER! I never thought Peltier was 100% innocent. There's ample evidence he was at the shootout with the FBI agents, and at least some evidence he was one of a few Sioux, very likely along with AIM members Robert Robideau, Dino Butler, and perhaps Joseph Stuntz, who closed in on agents Williams and Coler in the final slew of bullets. Peltier also owned the rifle that put the most bullet holes in the car, and officers, though by everyone's admission, who was holding what firearm at any given time was never proven.
Having said that, there's at least some reason to believe that Peltier and the others weren't even sure it was the FBI who were following them, or why, and even more distrust from any US government official to be treated fairly (keep in mind, the Wounded Knee massacre happened on Pine Ridge). There was also a war-like atmosphere in the final few minutes before Williams and Coler (and Stuntz) were killed with hundreds of bullets fired.
As one looks at this, even if Peltier was the man who fired the final bullets into Williams and Coler, considering the entire gravity and details of the situation, he long ago should have been at least released to, even if confined to, the Sioux Nation for time served.

Actually, I think that he is on death row🤔 I wish that I could remember his name! Sadly, there are a lot of innocent people, that are of different races, who are locked up or on death row...but there are many more guilty people who are where they are supposed to be (in prison or on death row).
