Free Leonard Peletier! He has been in prison for nearly 50 years for a crime he didn't commit. He is 73 years old and in poor health. He is an artist and needs to get proper medical treatment.

Where do we write? This needs to be pushed if he is indeed still living! I thought he had passed. What an outrage!

They did not put the people that killed the native Americans but they sentences one native man to life . They did not send anyone to prison for the dead natives

I remember the outrage I felt as a teen when Wounded Knee happened. Crazy that many years are gone. Some things better, some not.

There's another forgotten very sad tragic bloody conflict of the early spring time of the two warm days of Apiril of 1931! The hunkpati Dakota sioux Indian people's our very sad tragic massacre and a warriors victory song charge! during the great depression of 17th through the 18th of apiril of 1931! Also during the sooner policy act the reservation land take over of the better half of the 20th century! On the Crow creek sioux Indian reservation of SD. Half a mile northwest from the town stephan. Along a long narrow valley just below the prairie land country along the beautiful Missouri River. The last forgotten resistance of a large encampment of a little over sixty hunkpati Dakota sioux people were still definitely living on Cheney rush encampment site! The American civilians intruders involvement would instigated the start the terrible troubles in the early spring time of the same year. Would trigger the Buffalo county war or the Great war for the northern part of the reservation! Iron Nation's kul wicasa oyate Lakota sioux Indian warriors would get involved in this bloody conflict to! On the morning of the very sad tragic story the Dakota sioux Indian men left for a hunting trip on the other side of the reservation. Leaving their entire families and young pregnant young ladies to watch over the Cheney rush encampment site. Later on the same day a large party of over a hundred white civilians came with guns and rifles very unannounced! They seriously wanted to take away the Dakota sioux Indian people's traditional Buffalo hunting grounds and our rich fertile farm lands along the beautiful Missouri River. The American civilians would kill everyone there. They're own fire arms weapons the American guilty mass murdering intruders wouldn't use! They also brought razer Sharpe axes and sharpe butcher knives for their own heinous act of extremely evil vailenest guilty murderous plans! Very sadly tragically it actually would take place there! The elders were young children at the time saw an witness the tragedy unfolded there will hiding a safe distance away. Many years later they told the story well crying and wipt of the tragic brutal hateful torture to death at the Cheney rush massacre site, the second sand creek massacre of 1864! There's no memorial site there because of the forgotten fallen Dakota sioux Indian people who died there! The children want an told everyone on the reservation what happened to their own Dakota sioux Indian people who were wrongfully murdered there! The Dakota sioux Indian men also heard the very sad tragic story of their own love ones who were brutality murdered at the Cheney rush massacre encampment site! The men's hearts were broken from the lost of their own entire families who will never get back! The very next day over three angered hundred Dakota sioux Indian warriors were coming ready to fight against the American guilty murderous intruders! An many more warriors were arriving there! Near the massacre site the American civilians we're setting up a camp site along the shores of the beautiful Missouri River. Someone told they would be facing a huge massive large numbers of warriors coming towards them from a great distance away! The American civilians would make the main battlefield on the prairie land country. The American civilians intruders had surprised to see so many more warriors! The small Christian community town of stephan SD would also be shocked to see a large massive numbers of brave warriors riding on their beautiful horses swiftly by the small reservation town on the way to the great battlefield moment scene! After a swift running battle scene probably more Americans civilians were killed there! An several brave sioux Indian warriors would lose their lives in the very intense bloody conflict battlefield scene! Dust would rise up from the horses hooves made a great impressive very intense bloody conflict battlefield combat moment scene! The American civilians couldn't take any more fierce fighting! The rest of the defeated wounded weakened surviving American civilians intruders escape or fled back across the reservation border lands! To their own ranches and towns never wanting to take back the hunkpati Dakota sioux people's traditional reservation Buffalo hunting grounds and our rich fertile farm lands along the beautiful Missouri River. The last forgotten tragedy of the 20th century and the last great victory song charge of retribution for the fallen poor innocent Dakota sioux Indian people the Cheney rush massacre site! The massacre victory is still there today half a mile northwest from the town stephan SD along the highway to the capital of Pierre SD. North to the two small rolling hills. The one hill on the left side as a great resistance for our native American indigenous people of North America. If our brave warriors would have lose this bloody conflict the American wolves intruders would have taken our entire northern reservation traditional homelands! Our brave warriors would truly denied the American wolves intruders entry way to our reservation beautiful homeland's along the beautiful Missouri River. The very last land take actually happened during the 1970's of a poor innocent Lakota sioux Indian warrior on the Oglala Lakota sioux indian reservation of western SD. The us government took his own agres of land away from him! The poor innocent Lakota sioux indian warrior had no were to live! One of our tribal members actually took camera pictures of the massacre site and the secret mass grave site of 17th through the 18th of 1931. Many of our brave Dakota and Lakota sioux warriors would fight in the great war of world War two! My historical information for today. Have a great fabulous wonderful day.

Respect to the tribes. In America many statues stand of men that were at the Wounded Knee like James William Forsyth statue, any buffalo soldier statue relates to the massacre of natives for over 20 years in 171 other so called battles like Wounded Knee and the buffalo soldiers were present at Wounded Knee, they should replace the fifty dollar bill since Grant was the cause for so many peace treaties being broken black hills, and anything Sherman needs to go remember Sherman's word's every dead buffalo means a starved Indian, the put the monument on a sacred mountain to the Lakota Sioux, mouth rush, people say it's the white man but a history book says buffalo soldiers were the most dominant force in the west for 20 years clearing out places and building new, remember back when Tulsa oklahoma belong to the creek but removed, and covered by a new Wallstreet, no one talks of that, or how the monster Sherman tecumseh who doesn't deserve the name of the great Shawnee warrior chief for his war crimes against innocent natives, should be canceled.

%0 years, eh? Even those countries involved in WWII don't harp on losing that conflict -- it's more important moving on with the present and the future. How have the Indians done that?

Every time that Russell Mean is named or filmed, we feel the injuries his fanatic figure inflicted on our enemy tribe. He does not represent our American Indian Movement.
