But considering there's a long waitlist for that watch, maybe they priced it correctly since obviously tons of people are willing to buy at that price.
It really is a shame about prices. My Mark 16 was £2500 this year. The new ones are more than double. The same can be said for older Omega compared to newer ones... yep , this is an expensive hobby
This was my first year breaking into the world of the watches and you were a massive part of my education and excitement, Teddy. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us all.
Your watch content is the best on TH-cam… not robotically giving us features or talking about prices at resale… and most importantly a genuine feeling of excitement for watches. Thank you
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
That Parmigiani Fleurier is one of the most exquisitely beautiful and tasteful things (not just watches) that I have ever seen. It is just absolute class to me. Outstanding!
-longines perpetual calendar $3,550 (Grail) -Seiko dresskx $220 -G-shock GM2100-1A $200 -Orient kamasu green $305 -Tissot powermatic blue dial $725 My dream collection! It adds up too $5,000 exactly! Wish me luck! 😁👌
Just the work you put into this videos is astounding! It’s so organized and one of the only TH-camrs that I know for a fact will have a structure time line in their videos Thanks
It was because of Teddy that i fell in love with Longines as a brand. Just got the Longines Spirit Zulu time gmt 39mm Green dial in Singapore. Beautiful timepiece, just love it!!! Thank you, Teddy!!
It's good to reward ourselves sometimes . While I'm not one to spend on high-end watch (I spend too much money on travel, lol), I can appreciate your gorgeous and timeless watch. I love how it's a symbol of all your hard work. And i choose NKUWAN every time honestly
Definitely Longines!!! I used to think Longines designs are kind of just ok and not as elegant as I feel it would be but boy did my opinion change drastically!!! If u want good design with good craftsmanship that mimics the likes of Patek or JLC, without dropping a shit load of money and a brand with so much rich history! Longines will be the one of u!!!! I want them all now! I’m officially a Longines fan this year! Thanks Teddy your video about Longines this year has successfully converted me 😂
Longines is absolutely in no way anywhere near or comparable to Patek or JLC. Be happy with what you can afford, don't try to convince yourself it's something it's not.
The Tudor Black Bay Burgundy METAS is an obvious one but for me it was rhe best purchase i made all year, just the perfect natural evolution of the Black Bay 41 slimming the case down and adding that Jubilee bracelet. It's arguably the safest/ most boring pick but they just nailed it with that one.
Awesome content Teddy. I can’t help but be tremendously impressed with PF. The GMT Rattrapante is probably the most unique and well made watch I’ve seen. So simple, yet so innovative. I know this is a high horology brand, but even if their prices were 10% to 20% lower, it would find itself on several watch collector’s list
Hey Teddy, would you recommend a good aftermarket watch band company? Was looking for a good everyday rubber band. thanks, your vids are great help in my slowly increasing watch collection.
I'm a newbie trying to research my first & I now have a comprehensive range to try. Thank you! I've found that I can love a design in concept, then see it in natural light and reality and it's completely different. Echoing others here about how well you present your passion, ideas and aesthetics. The last part can't be underscored enough. The lighting and macro shots are on point. Personally, I loved discovering the dials of Straum, stunning.
My favourite video every year from Teddy! Thanks for a great 2023, and looking forward to another great year with you, Teddy! Cheers for all the wonderful content!
How you felt about the Hank Aaron is how I felt about the Roberto Clemente. If I was braves fan I’d get the Aaron too. I love every aspect of the Roberto, even to the back out of /3000 (for his 3000 hits) to the 21 being black and gold. It’s just impeccable.
For me, it was the first expensive watch I bought. The Oris Aquis New York Harbour. I had no intention of buying a watch at that time, but when I saw it, I knew I had to have it and pulled the trigger the next day! Still after wearing it a lot in rotation with other pieces, its still my favorite! It is now accompanied with the Oris Wings of Hope!
Teddy and Team, Thank you for a terrific year of watch education. Stopped by my Omega AD and tried on the various 75th Anniversary watches. Very impressed with the Seamaster 300 (Heritage) and the Planet Ocean models. I purchased eight watches from your team members (Jon & Will) and they are superb professionals. Keep up the great work in 2024 and wishing you and the team a Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays!
Took deliver of the black dial ingenieur. As you say, it fits like a tailored suit. Sits on the wrist impeccably. When you turn your wrist you see the full dial not a gap between chassis and wrist. Its perfect for me. I have to say the same for the Navitimer B01 46 (on milanese style bracelt). It wears so much smaller (7.5 inch wrist).
But truth is in order to afford luxuries such as cars or wristwatches like this, you’ll have to be involved with a multi dynamic platform capable of growing your money interests. People mostly downplay the role of a good portfolio manager until they’re burnt by their mistakes.
I don't think I need a portfolio manager. I can manage my own money and investments. I don't want to pay someone else to tell me what to do with my hard-earned cash.
That's a risky attitude, My friend. You might be missing out on some valuable opportunities and strategies that a portfolio analyst can offer. Also a portfolio manager can help you plan for your short-term and long-term goals, optimize your tax situation, diversify your portfolio, and avoid costly mistakes.
I agree with You. A portfolio manager also provide you with objective and unbiased advice, especially when you are facing emotional or stressful situations. They can help you stay on track and avoid making impulsive decisions that can harm your financial future.
The BB36 in the blue dial is unreal in person. Teddy hit the nail on the head on that one. Complete "do anything" watch. Wear it with t-shirt and jeans or a suit and it will never be out of place. Definitely on my list!
Does anyone know the reference number of the Certina DS Action Diver Titanium 38? In the video the bezel looks almost brown or plum, but when I search for it online I only see grey. I want that watch!!
Favourite: Grand Seiko Limited SBGC249 - tried it on, slept on it over night, bought it the next day - last one in Australia. Love it - Stunning, functional, great size, thanks Nathan at GS Boutique Sydney.
Teddy another great video. First I will go on record to say I don’t have a Rolex on my collection. However the puzzle watch is intriguing to me. Partly because the Puzzle is universal symbol for people with Autism. My son is autistic so I do feel a level of connection to the watch. It’s bit out of my price range but i do respect what Rolex is doing and will have a special place in my for it.
Teddy, great wrap up for 2023. I too like the PF Tonda GMT, but suspect you didn't remember the JLC Q1628420 which had the same elegant approach without the use of two extra buttons.
I'm happy Longines was on this list so often especially the Longines Spirit Zulu Time GMT. Seems you missed Christopher Ward, they have smashed it out of the park with the Bel Canto, The Twelve and now the C1 Moonphase.
29:52 Actually for me, it wasn't a watch that released this year (to my knowledge) But it was the newer Seiko Arnie (SNJ025). I was told that I'd like it on my wrist, so I eventually got around to wearing it at my local shop. Turns out like my G-Shock GRPB-1000, I love it! And now I'm hopefully going to be able to get it in 2024
In my minds eye i see the Vulcaine Cricket which I find utterly gorgeous and just that bit slightly quirky being on the wrist of someone like actor Terry Thomas back in the 1960s. Also really liked the NOMOS AHOI. Looks partly dress watch but built strong like a dive watch.
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say- out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the MaMaCoo 's watches are the most intriguing.
Vulcain Cricket caught my eye, it has an antique feel to it. Grand Seiko SLGH005 is a beautiful watch. Also liked the Certina Titanium. The Watch from Vacheron Constantin was also very beautiful. The Oris Hank Aaron Limited Edition is superb. Those were my top 5 from this collection...! I really like how you describe the watches...!
wow..what a nice presentation.. I am glad that Tissot heritage 1938 salmon dial is in your list. It has really become my every day watch. Light, comfortable, readable and with a PRECISE accuracy of less than 4"/day slow.
Great video! If I could add one watch to the list it would be the Citizen Tsuyosa. Bought the Tiffany dial version after I saw your review earlier this year. By far my cheapest watch in my collection, but ultimately the one I love most at the moment! It's just such amazing value for money and the dials are just stunning!
Please make a review of Tissot Le Locle Open Heart! It's to me such a beautiful watch at a reasonable price and I am interested to hear your thoughts about it. Thanks!
IWC Engineur was my favorite, but as you iterated , it's rrp is too much. The Oris Big Crown is on my wish list and it punches well above it's weight division for the price.
Really COOL watches teddy, but why didnt you put the citizen tsuyosa😢 on the list, thats a great watch too.😅by the way really like your videos, thanks for the info😅
Thank you so much, TEDDY, for this wonderful overview of watches that we must know (or by) . My dream watch is in your selection . A little bit expensive . The JLC Reverso Chronograph is (for me) a master piece of elegance et technique .
Great vid, thank you Teddy! Lots of very interesting pieces you've shown here, but if I need to single one out, it would be the Certina DS diver. I'm not a diver watch fan, but this I would purchase and wear gladly. From the ones not mentioned, the one that impressed me the most when I tried it on, was the Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra Shades (38mm). I tried it on and decided that it was going to be my retirement watch. Now I'm working for it 😊
All great choices but I'm surprised no mention of Breitlings new Avenger. My next watch I was going to buy was the Blancpain 50 Fathoms, well went to a watch show and saw a Girard Perregaux Laureato in green, I love green watches have 4 to date. Saw the Laureato and I was wowed. So I bought it. Yessss.
Great video as always, Teddy! Love the channel. Curious if any BALL watches made it close to your best of 2023 list? I would love to see a review of the new Ball Engineer M Endurance. Thanks!
Good year review. I hope Tissot gives some love to the Gentleman next year - 36mm? GMT? That chronometer movement in it? Surprised you didn’t put the CW 12 on the list. You could add a micro brand section to this video. Well done though. Next year how about a Certina DS2 review?
A superb review. Thank you, Teddy. This was the year I got into collecting mechanical watches and I was pleased to see one of them featured in your review. Keep up the good work in 2024.
Cheers Teddy , super cool video , sad a bit that none of Hamilton made it on the list... Anyway , for all , the Grand Seiko 1960 dress watch it is a jam , really. And Oris GMT big crown , beautiful . I wish you Merry Christmas and waiting for more interesting watches videos like everyone here !
I really liked the Seiko Japanese Garden (SARY203) didn't find a lot of people talk about it, but I really like the open heart disign. They also seem to have put in a lot of effort in the dial, someting you would see on the more higher end models.
Hello and thanks for this video Teddy. 2023 hasn't been a great year as 2021 has been with the Tissot PRX or 2022 with the Vacheron Constantin 222. But some watches deserve to be mentioned this year : the funny Metronome, the BB36 (and God knows how I usually don't like Tudor), the beautiful and so smart Tonda GMT and, of course, the amaizing Legacy Machine 101 (perhaps the best watch MB&F has ever made)!

Thank you for the detail list.
IWC makes a lot of beautiful, overpriced watches.
All luxury watches are overpriced for what they are.
But considering there's a long waitlist for that watch, maybe they priced it correctly since obviously tons of people are willing to buy at that price.
The words of the "window shopper"
It really is a shame about prices. My Mark 16 was £2500 this year. The new ones are more than double. The same can be said for older Omega compared to newer ones... yep , this is an expensive hobby
@@peekay4 True enough. Anything is worth what someone will pay for it. OTOH, I see lots of heavily discounted zero condition IWC watches.
This was my first year breaking into the world of the watches and you were a massive part of my education and excitement, Teddy. Thank you so much and I can’t wait to see what 2024 has in store for us all.
Longines Conquest and Tudor BB54 are my absolute favorites! Insane everyday watches!
Your watch content is the best on TH-cam… not robotically giving us features or talking about prices at resale… and most importantly a genuine feeling of excitement for watches. Thank you
God bless you Teddy! Wish more TH-camrs were as captivating as you and your team are. No drama, just watches!
Been watching your videos for a while now and was inspired to start a collection. Started with the amzwatch, its specs for price and clean looks, now am looking for a dress watch to add.
I like the watch I got from amzwatch. That rubber strap combo looks really cool! Been wearing it since last year and love every minute of it.
That Parmigiani Fleurier is one of the most exquisitely beautiful and tasteful things (not just watches) that I have ever seen. It is just absolute class to me. Outstanding!
-longines perpetual calendar $3,550 (Grail)

It’s such a unique take on the complication and I can’t help but get excited each time I bring it up.

2023 was the year I got into collecting watches, appreciate the content (covering all ranges & grounded asvice)
As a wristwatch enthusiast i am actually looking forward to larger shares of my investment to purchase luxury watches like this
That's really true i need someone that can help me grow my wealth through smart investments, and now I'm closer to owning one of these beauties.

I tried on the Longines Spirit Zulu time with the gold bezel and crown last week. I was b blown away! I love it so much!
The BB36 in the blue dial is unreal in person. Teddy hit the nail on the head on that one. Complete "do anything" watch. Wear it with t-shirt and jeans or a suit and it will never be out of place. Definitely on my list!
We’re here for the watches but Teddy, your storytelling is what keeps me coming back. Phenomenal video and cheers to a great 2023!
Question for you Teddy, do you sell the Seiko Metronome? Or recommend how to get it? It seems it's not that easy to find from a legit seller? Thanks!
Couldn’t agree more about Longines! The Spirit Zulu 39 is sweet, but if I could just pick one, it’d be the HydroConquest GMT.
I have to say that NKUWAN 's watches is amazing!
Longines zulu time 39mm is my favourite ❤
Omega Seamaster 300 Black Black Ceramic is the watch of the year. I'm so happy I bought mine. Ultimate weekend watch.
Thank you for always spitting knowledge on good pieces. I got my first watch Tissot PRX powermatic 80 thanks to you!
As always, a really great video with so much information at the same time, showing your own take and opinions. Nice job Teddy!
CW need to at least offer better movements at a higher price. Their cases and dials are great tho.
@@scotchbarrel3371 The Twelve Titanium in blue and purple only have COSC certified movement which as pretty good for the price.
Awesome video Teddy you are the best. Please do it every year . Great info
29:52 Actually for me, it wasn't a watch that released this year (to my knowledge)
But it was the newer Seiko Arnie (SNJ025).
Il miglior canale di orologi in assoluto complimenti
14:13 wow. Why does it look so unreal? :D Looks so alive/ Futuristic. 21:10... love it too
I love the video quality and presentation. Also very informative as I really have been falling in love with watches lately.
all those BLUE Omegas were perfection...and my favorites.
LOVED the appearance in AMW's latest video @5:27 mark. Wow! Who knew?....
Great video Teddy
You won!!!
Thank you Teddy! As usual your work is phenomenal and you are the best horological journalist.
Much appreciated, my friend. Happy holidays.
Happy holidays Teddy!
If only it came with a genuine leather strap. I refuse to pay 1k and get a synthetic strap.
My two favorite watches of the year are just new sizings for existing watches:
Longines Zulu Time 39mm (blue)
Tudor BB 39mm (champagne)
Great list, Teddy.! Thanks for making me aware of the Seiko Metronome. I’ll try to get one for my wife.
From Oris, I would've picked their Pro Pilot GMT, released late November this year.
I have an axe to grind over the Zulu Time. It’s a spitting image of a TAG Heuer Autavia from a few years ago. No idea why it bothers me.
Hi Teddy, what do you think about Ocen X and Roamer watches?
the Tonda PF deserves a place in watchmaking history!
Personally I think best looking watch this year were Seiko SPB383J1, Tudor BB with jubilee and Longines Conquest Chronograph black dial
My favorite release is the Zenith El Premerio Kelly green dial. Also known as the Aaron Rodgers watch. Stunning timepiece.
I’d love to see an in-depth review of the 37mm Grand Seiko quartz. Getting the world’s best quartz movement from GS at $2200 is a steal.
not really
My pick for a Miyota powered traveler GMT was the Traska Venturer.
Teddy
Do you rate the tissot pr100 sport
I have just purchased one for my collection
New Longiness Conquest 41mm is in my want list
It's a fantastic everyday watch! I got the black dial since you can combine it with anything! 10/10
Excellent video, will look at the Tissot Chronometer salmon dial. Thanks Teddy
Please make a review of Tissot Le Locle Open Heart! It's to me such a beautiful watch at a reasonable price and I am interested to hear your thoughts about it. Thanks!
I have never been disappointed since I became a customer of amzwatch. Their watches are of exceptional quality.
Love these videos
Another great year -thanks Teddy
Great video. What's the Mrs. Favorite men's watch?
This channel helps us navigate the vast world of watches
Another dive watch I bought that came out in 23 that wasn’t mentioned here was the Seiko sje093.
Standouts are the GS white birch, Tag Carrera, JLC, and VC chronographs.
Thanks for all your hard work this year young Sir .
Nice video man hello from Croatia ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, TEDDY, for this wonderful overview of watches that we must know (or by) . My dream watch is in your selection . A little bit expensive . The JLC Reverso Chronograph is (for me) a master piece of elegance et technique .
Not looking at the price, which of these watches is the best: orient mako 2, citizen promaster Diver or Seiko 5 Sports?
I actually use te Seiko Metronome at work as a paramedic, I use it to set the pace for CPR until we get out Lucas on 😅😅
Great vid, thank you Teddy!
Lots of very interesting pieces you've shown here, but if I need to single one out, it would be the Certina DS diver. I'm not a diver watch fan, but this I would purchase and wear gladly.

I love so much this video 💪👏👍❤️❤️

Now with the Hodinkee version the Spirit Zulu has an even more aviation tool/military feel; the dial is IMHO much cleaner and better looking.
Enjoying the Marathon steel quartz every night.
Nothing like tritium lume❤ Great buy from Teddy!
I just purchased a Montblanc 1858 iced sea automatic date in blue and really love it. I don’t believe you have done anything on Montblanc.
A superb review. Thank you, Teddy. This was the year I got into collecting mechanical watches and I was pleased to see one of them featured in your review. Keep up the good work in 2024.
love this channel
Cheers Teddy , super cool video , sad a bit that none of Hamilton made it on the list...
Anyway , for all , the Grand Seiko 1960 dress watch it is a jam , really. And Oris GMT big crown , beautiful . I wish you Merry Christmas and waiting for more interesting watches videos like everyone here !
I really liked the Seiko Japanese Garden (SARY203) didn't find a lot of people talk about it, but I really like the open heart disign. They also seem to have put in a lot of effort in the dial, someting you would see on the more higher end models.
2023 is the year I got into watches, and Teddy has an undeniable amount of responsibility. Happy Holidays to you all
May be look at Zeppelin Atlantic GMT within true gmt value segment watches
Hello and thanks for this video Teddy. 2023 hasn't been a great year as 2021 has been with the Tissot PRX or 2022 with the Vacheron Constantin 222. But some watches deserve to be mentioned this year : the funny Metronome, the BB36 (and God knows how I usually don't like Tudor), the beautiful and so smart Tonda GMT and, of course, the amaizing Legacy Machine 101 (perhaps the best watch MB&F has ever made)!
