RDJ is in ongoing recovery from his past drug abuse I heard him mention in an interview that he tries to do max one maybe two movies a year and for most of the last decade they have been his marvel and Sherlock franchise films. He rakes enough money off those films he does not have to actively pursue work on top of that. His wife is also a well known Hollywood Producer prior to marrying him who draws her own sizable paycheques working for different studios in addition to the solo production company they co-founded that made the acclaimed film The Judge. If you want an example of how much RDJ values his sobriety over money he pulled out of the movie Gravity despite being the top choice for the male lead over George Clooney and likely would have negotiated a compensation deal bigger than the backend points that landed Sandra Bullock like $75m. He also turned down a role in the Disney's Wizard of Oz movie that later cast James Franco at a fraction of the payday RDJ was offered. RDJ has been in prison and rehabs the dude has really struggled in his life so lol I don't think he wonders if I do a couple more movies I can make another $100m. He does quite a few commercials though.
