Great video!!! I really liked the tip showing the EWG NED Head. I think that's going to solve the problem for a lot of people that are getting hung up with the open hook. The other tip that I liked a lot was regarding the NEKO rig and the "O" ring placement &, the hook orientation. I read an article in the IN- Fisherman magazine where some of the pro fisherman recommended using the Z-Man Bang StickZ 5 3/4" skirted soft stick worm due to the floating nature of ElaZtech plastic material and the "tentacle skirt" at one end of the bait that imparts a unique under water action even when you're not moving the bait. It can be NEKO or Wacky rigged without "O" rings or wacky rig tools due to the nature of the Z-Man ElaZtech material. I want to mention if you are using the Z-Man ElaZtech worms they recommend using the Z-Man NEKO ShroomZ nose weights & they will also work on regular plastic worms as well. I really enjoy watching your videos, thanks DEBO 👍🎣
Hey Debo: Completely agree with your hook choice for wacky. Another tip: when using an offset worm hook, a swivel (like Cabela's #10) will keep the worm from slipping off the offset. It's a matter of putting the swivel's first eye onto the leader before tying the hook on, then poke the worm on, then put the swivel's second eye over the hook point and up to the worm at the offset, then finish Texas-rigging the worm as normal. (clear as mud)
Debo, my wife and I rented an Air B and B in Richmond in December. I was alone quite a bit so I decided to revisit old Debo vids. 25 days straight of the Debomeister covering anything from fixing backlashes to using a ned rig. Sir you are quite simply one of the easiest channels to watch. I literally felt like it was old home week. Too much fun. Been fishing twice since then and not one bite. Better find the cold fall advice and see what the Grand Master has for me to do. LOL.
Thanks, Debo. Watching the line is a great tip; chances are very good you will see the bite before you feel the bite...if you feel it at all before the fish drops it. I also like to check the sink rate of my plastics; the Yum Dinger is one of the slowest sinking stick baits out there, so it's my choice when I am fishing very shallow submerged grass beds here in Florida. I throw a Ned occasionally when there's not much cover in the pond; "weedless Ned" - not really...well I do, but I call it a shaky head. 🙂
I always drag my Ned rig on the bottom. Drag it super slow, let it sit. Sometimes as little as half a reel turn on a 7.1:1 spinning setup. I use a 1/10 or lighter. It’s my go-to if I just want to catch a fish!
Love the little tips/tricks videos like this. Always fun to pick up little things that you may have never thought of on your own. For my Tokyo rig, I'll use two smaller bullet weights (2 1/8 oz rather than 1/4 or 2 1/16), have the bottom weight nose facing down the wire and the top weight nose facing up. That way either direction has the rounded nose end to pass through rocks or veg, with the added bonus of the two weights providing some additional noise as they rattle against each other.
Thanks Debo.1 thing I like To do is with the Tokyo put one weight up one down now easy in and out when punching and makes a little noise when hitting together.
I like using a smaller shad style plastic on a Ned, and slow swimming/twitching/dragging on bottom. I have some silver /smoke color zman streakz (3.75") that work awesome for this.
Great information. I like the Tokyo rig in current. ... I always forget to swim a NED then let it glide then swim it and so on. I tend to just pitch it, bounce it a few times and then move on.
Great video brotha. Appreciate all the tips. You’ve helped my fishing with your content through my fishing journey. Gonna start experimenting with the Tokyo rig this year.
The TRD spins blades on a wacky rig have worked for me....provides a little flash on the fall.... especially in the rivers where water levels are more shallow.
Being a bank fisherman, one thing I really like are the EWG hooks made for Drop Shots, I know how you feel about drop shots (the "D" word), Haha, but that weedless rigging feature really helps.
Debo, your viDebos are amazing. This was a perfect way to reevaluate my confidence lures and hooks. Thank you so much! I don’t get to fish nearly as much as I’d like to; hoping that changes soon, but your tips, techniques and encouragement go a long way to helping me out. My PB is a 2-2.5lb largemouth off a Ned rig tip you discussed! Looking forward to increasing that size and to future Debo instruction! I usually miss the lives but I catch the posted viDebos almost religiously! Keep it up, good sir from the Midwest! I was spawned in Minnesota but came to my senses and settled in Texas via a few other nondescript locations.
I like darting a ned head or the Zman finesse bulletz with a tiny fluke or the TRD minnow on it in the early spring and the post spawn, just a few hops then maybe drag it a few feet, rinse and repeat, that technique always produces good bites for me. Great vid as always Debo!
That is some great information. I really enjoyed your tips on the Tokyo rig and the Nikko rig I need to put some work in on those those tips will help me out. Thank you.
I need to up my soft plastic game, I've only ever thrown texas rigs. Thanks for the advice debo! Can't wait for spring. Heading out in the rain today to go drown some worms
Good stuff Debo, on the neko you can use tiny screws or nails as the weight as well. Weighted wacky hooks for a slightly faster fall. Great video as always 👊
Let's pay homage to the folks that created the " Tokyo rig" and call it what it is. The "cherry rig" is what it's called in Japan. I feel like it's important to give credit where it's due. The Japanese have taught us many great techniques. That is one. Plus, cherry rig just sounds cooler. 🤘dope vid though!
Nice vid, Debo! Right on re: Ned. Caught lots of river smallies in current with a 1/15 oz tumbling down riffles, or just on the fall near docks. Love your stuff, bud. 👍
Great advice as always. I really like the different perspective at your intro. Did you get a new camera? Also really liking the new graphics in the meat of the video. Can't wait for the open water to use all these tips.
Is the unspoken third tip for Ned rig to use a 4"ish sized bait (like the Big TRD) instead of the usual 3"ish (finesse TRD) size as you showed on both rigs? Great video! I do enjoy the tips and tricks!
Have you ever used the line of Cadence rods and reels made in Colorado? They appear to be cheaper on Amazon because they cut the retailers...just curious..
Dude I need to get back to throwing the wacky rig I don’t use it enough and I’m bad about no going to it. Usually my go to finesse bait is shakey Head.
Dead sticking the wacky is catches a lot fish lol. I have caught so many fish, even big ones, when I set my rod down and take a drink of water or look at a text then pick it up and see my line running to the side.
Another amazing Video with so much Valuable Intel my friend thank you l. I have caught 10 times more Fish since you suggested using Braided Line on my Spinning Gear and using the “Drop Shot” lol and I have you to 100% thank for that.. It’s hard to say how much you are Valued and Appreciate by an Old Broken Guy like me and I’m sure the rest of your Subscribers it truly is beyond words. I Sincerely thank you Devon. Semper Fidelis
i too love Braided Line on my Spinning Gear. Along with Alberto knotted thicker fluorocarbon leaders, to me it eliminates practically all of the negatives of choosing spinning gear instead of casting gear.
I hear the "throw where others won't" tip a lot. In that scenario, deep in the scraggly brush, if a fish bites... How the heck do we get the fish out? I don't even have confidence I can get a Texas rig out
I haven't forgotten any of these tips, but I did learn all of them from ol DEBO.
Thanks for sharing the Tokyo rig wire bend trick. Jacob Wheeler is the man.
I'm always learning new things from these types of videos. I need to improve my finesse fishing skills.
Great video!!! I really liked the tip showing the EWG NED Head. I think that's going to solve the problem for a lot of people that are getting hung up with the open hook. I really enjoy watching your videos, thanks DEBO 👍🎣
Thanks Debo, you refreshed me on the neko rig and the Tokyo rig got to knock the rust off and use them more
Can't wait for warm weather again, Wisconsin weather sucks. I hate cold too much to ice fish sadly.
Great tips as usual Debo. I don't use all of those techniques (no neko for me) but you always give helpful advice to us bank anglers. Thanks man. ✌️😎🎣

For the Tokyo you could use 2 tungsten weights ass to ass or a egg weight. I've never thrown it but I've seen it

Very simple common sense reminders of the ways you can rig a stick bait. Thanks Debo.

nice idea , thx 4 sharing .
Love the video Debo. I learned over the last couple yrs watching you talk about fishing Senkos. It was good to take a refresher course!
These videos are always helpful. lots of these things we forget over the years..
A good refresher course is a great idea. Thanks Debo.

Semi slack line on the neko. Good reminder on working that different than the wacky and others. Thanks Debo!
Another great tip video Debo. I always learn something from your vids.
Thanks for the new video.I'm going to have to try your ned rig tips.I haven't spent enough time with that
The TRD spins blades on a wacky rig have worked for me....provides a little flash on the fall.... especially in the rivers where water levels are more shallow.
Enjoyed the video great tips, especially the Tokyo rig tip, I will use that rig more and enjoy it more now. Thanks again and keep up the great work.
I go straight Fluoro and have my fing on the line to feel the bite. Most lakes are pressured straight clear line is best.
Debo Love this one
Best point of the video-Neko rig works better with a floating worm
Take care
Thanks Debo. Exactly what I needed. I'm trying to learn new techniques and refine what I already do! Thank you!
Great tips. Would love to see a video about your thought process on choosing lures based on conditions.
Being a bank fisherman, one thing I really like are the EWG hooks made for Drop Shots, I know how you feel about drop shots (the "D" word), Haha, but that weedless rigging feature really helps.
Great stuff man, love this little tips, some make a huge difference!
Excellent tips Debo! Love the videos Sir!
Great vid. Love the tips. We anglers are never too old to learn some new tricks. Definitely need to throw the wacky rig more.

Loved all these tips and tricks! I'm all about a wacky rig, need to try put neko and Tokyo rigs next!

i need to throw the ned rig more. not my most confidence bait, but i will try this year for sure
Great info. Have done nothing with Tokyo Rig... might try this season. Hope to see some ice fishing soon.
All of the tips were very helpful! Soft plastics are my favorite to fish!
I need to up my soft plastic game, I've only ever thrown texas rigs. Thanks for the advice debo! Can't wait for spring. Heading out in the rain today to go drown some worms
Great video! Let's go spring.
Forgotten a couple of those over the last yr or so concentrated more on drop shot and finesse jigs.
Love the tips and always looking to up my game. I usually cross the o-rings on my wacky rigs. Looking forward to try those EWG meds this year
Check out using a little spring in the middle of bait.helps to not lose so many baits
Nice video!!! Love the tips Debo!
Good stuff Debo, on the neko you can use tiny screws or nails as the weight as well. Weighted wacky hooks for a slightly faster fall. Great video as always 👊
Galvanized finish nails work great for this or #2 siding nails
Awesome bro!! Another cool tip is try the Neko weight that comes with a skirt... 😉

Great tips DEBO, will definitely try them out on next time out on the water 🙂🎣
I watch your show, and I think you do a wonderful job, at what you do, thank you very much for all the information 😀, from Michigan.
Good reminder!
Really liked the suggestion of hi-vis braid to fluorocarbon leader for wacky. Great tip debo. Keep up the great content!!!
Awesome video as always, thanks Debo!
Nice vid, Debo! Right on re: Ned. Caught lots of river smallies in current with a 1/15 oz tumbling down riffles, or just on the fall near docks. Love your stuff, bud. 👍
Awesome content, Brother! And btw LOVE the shirt....Did Alex get you that??? LOL
One of the best fishermen on the planet (Ott Defoe) pegs his Texas rig all the time!
Do you ever fish Tube's?
Thanks for the video.
Iam still fishing using a knot you showed 5 years ago.
A cool thing i do is, I throw a bead on my Tokyo rig under the weight. I feel it makes noise and helps get the fish’s attention. ✌🏻
Great advice as always. I really like the different perspective at your intro. Did you get a new camera? Also really liking the new graphics in the meat of the video. Can't wait for the open water to use all these tips.
Great video!! Love the Tokyo Rig! I use two weights instead of one that way you have a point at both ends. Stay Safe & God Bless!!
Is the unspoken third tip for Ned rig to use a 4"ish sized bait (like the Big TRD) instead of the usual 3"ish (finesse TRD) size as you showed on both rigs? Great video! I do enjoy the tips and tricks!
Great tips as always. Looking for that link to the discount at Monsterbass in the description, can't seem to find it.
I'm thinking of trying a wackyrig worm setup on a dropshot, what do you think
Thanks for the tips!!
Great video ++
Great vid-j-o Debo! Gonna put these to work.
Definitely gotta get some neko weights and try that this year.
Thanks Debo, great video 👍👍👍.
Nigel (Chicago)
What were those o rings called?the ones with the little offset hole for the hook to sit perpendicular? I want those o rings
Have you ever used the line of Cadence rods and reels made in Colorado? They appear to be cheaper on Amazon because they cut the retailers...just curious..
Never did Neko rug before, thanks for the explanation, I believe I’m gonna try it. I have worms with the o-ring made in it.
Brilliant tips , I'll be using them for sure , especially that tip on the Tokyo rig . And where can I find that music !!!.
I definitely had a fair amount of success on the wacky and got the GF her first bass on a monster bass Ned setup.
Great video man!
I got my first Monsterbass bass box couple of days ago. It had Battle Beatle in it. I know it’s top water other than that don’t know much about it. 🤔
Thanks for the tips!
Dude I need to get back to throwing the wacky rig I don’t use it enough and I’m bad about no going to it. Usually my go to finesse bait is shakey Head.
That tokyo rig trick is a game-changer
Awesome keep them coming. 😊
Commenting for the algorithm. Can't wait to get back out on the water!
Dead sticking the wacky is catches a lot fish lol. I have caught so many fish, even big ones, when I set my rod down and take a drink of water or look at a text then pick it up and see my line running to the side.

Appreciate the info!
Good stuff!
Could you list the colors that you buy , in your info please.
Good tips! You should give the chicken rig a try!
Good stuff.

What was the knot you tied on the texas rig
I believe it is a double pitzen
Geez I’m early. It said 4 seconds. Great video like always
Is it ok that I fast forwarded the Tokyo Rig? Lol. Nice tips!
OMFG. Finally someone pronouncing neko rig the correct way. Ugh never mind you Americanized it again 😂
Debo check out the new Yamamoto slinko
Hello debo I have used zman soft plastic but I don't like them because I had bought some zman soft plastic and They melted so I don't like zman
