I must admit you're the first fisherman I've ever seen tell or teach anyone about how to hookup their fishing line and i sincerely Thank you for sharing your video with me and all of your viewers 💯❤️👍🙏😎✌️👋😃🙌👍
Big thanks for showing love, my man! By the way, I've got a ton of awesome fishing gear up for grabs over at www.heyskipperfishing.com. Our gear will save you time and frustration on your coming trips!
😄
Yea right, lol if you truly think that, then you must not watch more than one fishing video a year lol
Great fishing. By the way where is this place located at? If you don't mind please share with me. Thanks.
What?? Lmao no way this ain't a bot 😂
That was Nice teaching that young man how to rig up properly for the trout. Glad to see it. Much Love Skipper ❤️💪✌️
Great job. When I lived on Charlotte Harbor in the 80’s we used this method almost exclusively and caught so many different species that it became a contest to se who could catch the most on a single trip. Our best was like 20 plus in a morning outing. Use can use live or cut bait , a jig or spoon and pop it along, or double jig and wade the back bays. Simple to use and cheap enough to keep us from going broke
Something I've learned fishing over the years. If there is a size limit you don't want your fish to be right on the line. I've seen fish shrink 1/8 to 3/16 when they get stressed. Especially if you are keeping them in a livewell.
Hey skipper, been watching your videos for 2 years now. I get the chance to go surf fishing for the first time in a few weeks and couldn’t be more excited thanks to the videos!
Dude, you have the best fishing rigs advice vids by far. Can't wait to test out this rig. Lets go, Skipper!💪💪🎣
Went fishing on the ocean a couple times, and really couldn’t do very well. Finally a local showed me exactly what to do like in this video and now we can enjoy our ocean trips. Keep the teaching going!
Awesome! If you found this helpful you gotta check out my website, I custom make a ton of gear to help you with your next fishing trip! www.heyskipperfishing.com 😃
Wowwww that is truly remarkable! Seriously! Because the bobber stopper keeps the bobber in place whereby not allowing the sinker to touch bottom and the bait will be floating freely how smart is that I must admit I’ve learned something very fish important 😀 today 👍👍👍
Hey! I've fishing the same way here in Italy for 15 years now: sliding float from a pier with rocks. Let me give you an advice: you definitely need a longer an dedicated rod for bobber fishing, at least 5 meters long. You also need a landing net the same length. The rig you use is very good, but some small adjusts would make it even better. If like to, i'll make a video in which I show my rig and my way of fishing. Keep in touch.
Your YT chamnel is awesome!
Thanks for the love and support man, Btw, we make awesome beach fishing gear, check it out here.

Oh this is actually so useful, i went fishing off some rocks and snag the second its out there, thank you.
I've been slip bobbing this type of setup for many years.. works great for salmon fishing! Thanks for sharing 👍
10:12 "its pulling drraaaag" got me 😂
you are so generous to show techniques to people and that is really superb characteristic of mankind
Hello from the UK 🇬🇧 I got snagged twice in two different days 😂 I found out from different friends of mine to use 6Ib line but just watching your video I think I will try it your way 😂😂
Nice! I will use this tomorrow. We are ALWAYS getting snagged on the rocks at the jetty I fish! I have used Richard Gene’s method of using fishing line as a bobber stop and it is better for casting through your guides. You just use a Surgeon’s knot with double your line weight and clip it close! It slides up and down easily and you don’t have to spend money on bobber stops!!
Much love for spreading the fishing knowledge.❤
Hey, much appreciated for the shoutout! Thought I'd mention, I've got some top-notch beach fishing gear on my site, www.heyskipperfishing.com. You gotta check it out-it'll level up your fishing game in no time.
😄
God bless u man i got snagged on the jetties 2 days ago first time there i slipped at the way end n broke 1 reel lol funny thing i literally was fishing next to a group of asians 4 people right next to em they used floaters n caught a big redfish a drum sheephead n a medium pompano n another asian man came he was not part of the group he gave me leader line we were talking but im used to freshwater now i know what to take n how to use a floater could never toss it far with floaters but after seeing your video now i know that bobber stopper is cool
I love how you take your time to help viewers and people you meet. Great video. I bet those rigs would work so well on mangrove snapper and sheeps. If ever down in NW Fl let me know.

This video is great, sharing and teaching is the way to go. You have a new subscriber.
This is how everyone fished 40 years ago! With live shrimp. I still have some “ float hi glo “ floats , a trout sinker, and 141 Eagle Claw Kahle hooks. When I was a kid (mid 80’s) a man fishing by us caught a 56 lb. redfish at the end of the jetty.
Skipper your videos are awesome. Wish I could fish with ya one day. Your very knowledgeable

The thread bobber stoppers work well for really deep stuff cause they go through the guides easily
Thanks for the tips and I hope you pick up your tags and not leaving them in the rocks.
Luv it man. The best type of fishing is fishing with friends. Some you known since day one, Some you make one day on a solo fishing adventure.
An awesome video - thank you so much! A question: how do you adjust the sinker weight to the floatability of the float so that the balance is exactly right? Also, what sinker weight and float floating power have you used in the video (oz/g)? Thanks and tight lines!
Me gustó mucho el vídeo, eres muy amigable, saludos desde Jalisco México.
Lumpia on the rocks! I will try that on my next trip to the Philippines!
muy generoso saludos desde Costa Rica¡¡¡

Great video 👍🏼 will be trying this
Great rig for rivers to with rocky bottoms too. Use this set up for steel-head along the salmon river in Idaho.
very fun video to watch, thank you for showing this amazing technique!
Cheers for the love, my dude! Oh, and if you're into fishing, I've got some epic gear on my site, www.heyskipperfishing.com. Go check it out-it's gonna take your fishing game to the next level. 😁
I like it! We have always used those very small women’s hair rubber bands; cut it and tie onto your braid at desired depth with a double overhand knot, it slides also.
Does it go through you rod eyes ?
@@OneOut1 yes, I usually do it with a 4000 or larger size reel on jetties and bridges. The rubber bands are like 1/2” or so and very thin.
What is your friends channel? When I search, Snoop Dogg keeps showing up. LOL

Another great video! What are the bookbags and the little cooler you and your friend were using in the video of you don't mind me asking?
Nice helping that guy out! safety first’😊
Just bought 4 and 6 inch bobber and a new set of slip weights. Ready to try at the bridge where the rocks and concrete blocks are pretty much the same terrain you are fishing
I knew i recognized the fishing area out in my old fishing spot by the fort... I like to use fiddlers and blue crab for sheepshead and black drum...
THANKS BRO SHERE YOUR KNOWLAGE.. YOU BEST

I found the line breaking culprits to be lady fish. I'm using 30lb braid with 30/40 lb leader for FL inshore. I'm excited to try this setup. Ordering those weights right now!
Any tips for getting past the lady fish and into trout territory?
That’s awesome!
Fishing is like universal language for men.

I heard people say "common fishy fishy" when they frying fish for the dinner :) good fishing guys
What pole and reel is that you are using? I need that for traveling.
We use this way for fishing sea bass for many years. You need to come to Portugal to learn how to fish whit a float or sinker.. 😜
thanks
@HeySkipper what size float and sinker is that?
Thank you braddah. Do you make trout sashimi with them?
If you reel your bobber-stopper up to your reel (or, even, beyond the first guide at the tip of your rod) it has a tendency to interfere with your cast as the bobber-stopper hits the guides when casting causing a bird's nest on your reel.
Really nice !! what IS your size setup reel and rod thanks 😊
Whaaat..... lumpia semarang right..
Its a great idea i use the same rig.. off the jetty.sometimes the swell pushes it into the rocks...i fish the ocean side
Of the jetty. I get snagged once in a while
😄
Would the santee rig work the same way?
Very nice tutorial video 😊. Actually I use a shimano nexave in saltwater. This reel doesn't have any kind of seals to prevent water from getting in
After usage in saltwater should I wash this reel ?
Yes...a low pressure fresh water rinse after every trip helps preserve your equipment. No hard spray, just rinse in running water.
Improved Uni knot is almost 100% line strength.
Hey skipper what line do you use braided or the other I forgot its name 🫣
In Indonesia we also call it lumpia
Does it work on fast flowing rivers also??
Hi mate, interesting video there on setting up a floating rig with a sinker below the float. So the weight from the sinker doesn't pull the float under?
If the float goes under use a lighter sinker.
amazing uncle 😊👍
Can you ask your friend what glasses he is wearing and where I can buy them please 🙏🏻
Live in Jax, lovin’ Jax, fishin’ Jax….hoping to get out to the jetties next weekend. If you’re around downtown area, lemme know, and we’ll get the boat out, and fish dirty on the St Johns..
Nice bro… what a nice gesture

Amazing👏👏👏👏
Thanks man :D
Good fishing
What brand of pants are you wearing and do you like them? I'm white as paper so I burn easy. I need something like those. lol
i use a rubber bead between the sinker and the float as well, otherwise that float will be damaged when casting.
Lumpia for the win
good instructive video any consideration given to the size of float and weight of sinker. so that the bait will be presented more naturally and the sink will not get stuck at the bottom as being too heavy. thanks
😁
What kind of bag is the purple and yellow?
Techniques like this in Indonesia, specifically on the island of West Java, have been used for decades

Memancing ikan yang bagus saya suka menontonnya 👍👍
For me your set up is not recommended wh? Because the stopper going thru ion your reel together the line its happen maybe your main line gonna big problem. Yes its adjustable stopper depents on deep. But you notice when you reel stopper all the way . Possible when you strike again your line got a trouble.
Dude is all about that salt life now.
If only you could understand my struggle with kelp and seaweed, it’s a 50/50 if you get your rig back
Haha you are probably from west coast?
Slip floats are great but rigging them can be a pain in the azz to tie especially on the boat. Make sure your float has a single piece line tube thru it.
Nice vid. Don't let your cut off tag ends fall in the water - enough plastic pollution
Bobber stoper can't demage the ring guide boss?
