Hi Ms. Novita First time seeing your videos and would like to know how to make probiotics if dont have starter like em1? Can you also explain how often to use probiotics with bettas? Thank you for sharing info/video🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Hello novita. How to make Probiotics for the health of betta fish? Water, Lactic acid and Brown sugar. How and how long is it prepared? I haven't seen a video about it.
You can use live yeast of Saccharomyces cerevicea, and live bacteria of Lactobacillus casei, add brown sugar, and water, shake well, cover and let them ferment for 2-4 days, how long it takes depends on the weather and the condition of the microorganisms, you know they are ready when they are bubbling like crazy
@@NovitaListyani Thank you so much. I watched you with love and interest. Greetings from Turkey. Now I can be a very close follower of yours. I look forward to more of your videos. Information I haven't seen anywhere. I also use salty shrimp leaves and bark extrat. It is generally used for shrimps. I add 2ml to 3L of water. My betta fish are very comfortable in the water. I did not see any signs of illness. Of course, I do this for hobby purposes. Commercial production is a very demanding job. I also use 2 pieces of Catappa leaves and 2 pieces of alder cones in 5L of rested water. After waiting like this for 3 or 4 days, I use 1L/2L.
It's very straightforward actually, a little bit of yeast/yeast water and lactobacillus bacteria, add palm sugar or better molasses, shake and let them ferment for 3-4 days, when you see lots of bubbles, they are ready.
Can I use 100% sugar beet instead of molasses? Once made, how long do they last ? If in room temperature 22c or in cold weather 5-10 at the moment In Europe ? Thanks so much
Yes you can! If the temperature is around 5-10, they can last for months, at 22 degree Celsius, may be a month or so, it all depend on the culture you have. Every culture is unique, so there's no consistency in their effectiveness and longevity. Starting from a well established culture is usually better.
We usually keep it in a plastic bottle, add water and a little more sugar/molasses every few days to one week after use, it can last for quite a while.
@@NovitaListyani you're a saving grace! Thanks! By the way, what is the shelf life for this mixture? And can I mix it along with my Indian Almond Leaf Extract?
Usually they mature less than 4 days here on our tropical island, check it daily, when you see lots of bubbles coming up when you open the cap, that's the sign of a ready-to-use probiotics.
Waow i would say very well explained! But ma"am i would also like to suggest you a natural life saver so called as API Nutro Plus! It's the one which has red algae!
I enjoy this so much! Amazing content, best wishes to you and your future projects! 🌻
