That is a pretty cool item , just think if your at a concert all day your solar panel can be charging in the sun and then it can charge your phone when your phone dies that is a pretty ingenious item
i don't know who pay for this kind of reviews i just bought one here in uk same model same power bank left it 3 days and is not charging . the review and the reviewer is nice , good job sir
You can't really expect it to charge inside or on a cloudy day. It may show that it's charging, but but it won't be by any significant amount. You're really supposed to use a wall charger to charge it and then just use the solar as back up to get a bit more of a charge if you're outdoors.
Primalxbeast I tried I left it outside on the back garden for 2 days . Not even a led extra , the panels gets 12v but the amp is low so no way you can charge the battery with this .it's a gimmick
@@Aburicu The manufacturer does say that it take 30-35 hours to charge fully in optimal conditions. (between 11am-4pm angled into good sunlight) I bought a power bank with a solar panel, but I also bought a 28 watt solar panel to actually charge it with, and I live in Florida. I wouldn't expect much from those little solar panels in the UK.
What I’m wondering is will this act like a perpetual energy device if I say permanently keep in by the window for sunlight only, and use it as a dock to charge my phone. Basically using it as a substitute wall outlet
Gonna depend on how you're using the phone. If your phone uses more power than converted by the solar panels, the powerbank battery will continue discharge until flat.
Should be noted that it will likely never pay for itself in electricity production. The output of the panels degrades over time, as do the storage capacity of the Lithium batteries inside. By the time the device is at the end of its useful life you won't have recuperated the cost. The power from your wall is the cheaper and sadly the more environmentally friendly. A good gadget for off-grid situations though. A way to charge something when the powers out. I have one and it works great as a backup.
Have you tested the mah capacity of the battery using a usb tester? I got myself one off these that said it was 12,000mah but it only had a 6,000mah battery inside with a True capacity of about 5,600 mah.
@@DigitalSlang I saw 900 000 mAh on ebay but their true cap is only 15 000 so there is a lot of crap on the market, some of them won't even charge on the sun.
Nice :) However I would imagine 25000 mAh would amount to more than x6 times the 4000 mAh for the Iphone. Not x5 times :) I'm also a very happy owner of one of their battery packs (Hiluckey 26800mAh solar charger) All best and I apologies for this small (only meant as positive) critique :)
You know that it would have been more useful in your review to test how long it takes the sun to charge the device by testing it yourself on a sunny day - most of these devices take three to six days to fully recharge in glorious weather and a lot longer with no sun
Have you tested it can charge multiple things at the same time? most of these put out just 1 amp across all the outputs, so will take 24 hours to charge 3 phones, and the battery is usually half the rated capacity, so trying to charge 3 phones will result in 3 phones with 50% charge in 24 hours and the solar panel takes a week to charge the battery.
Output of the battery is 5V 2,1A. Fast chargers are 5V 2,4A. So 87,5% of a fast charger. Output of the solar panels are 4,5V and 1A (4,5W), which is 37,5% of a fast charger. But this is under ideal weather conditions and with the solar panel facing the sun perfectly. Here is what to expect in cloudy conditions; blog.voltaicsystems.com/solar-performance-clouds-rain/
one year ago i brought such a solar power bank to West-Africa. If you reload with the solar panels the power bank, a green light is on. Now i brought two new ones to West-Africa - and i am really astonished, no green lights indicates the charging of the power bank with the three additional opened solars. What is wrong? i did not test the two gadgets in Germany.
I have the 15,000maH. If I used it maybe weekly as just a top-up to my phone battery in-case it ever runs out, how long will it last? I have an iPhone 7.

I have one and it does not charge at all. When in sunlight the flash light on the back start flashing, no matter if it's supposed to be on or off. Anybody knows if it's possible to solve this problem? Well... Apart from throwing in the bin! 😆
The solar panels on that battery is rated for 4,5Watts over 1Amp (such ratings are usually exaggerated). This means that it is (4,5W/1Amp=) 4,5Volts. "Fast chargers" are 5volts and 2,4amps (=12Watt), which mean that these solar panels would give 37,5% of the charge (Watt) that you get from a fast charger - UNDER IDEAL CONDITIONS... Check this link for what to expect under cloudy conditions: blog.voltaicsystems.com/solar-performance-clouds-rain/ Under ideal conditions, you would need a 12Watt solar panel to get a similar charge as you get from a (single) fast charger - but as these ratings are usually exaggerated, a solar panel rated for 15 watts is probably what you need to achieve this. Im planning to get a 28watt solar panel. That should allow me to charge 2 battery banks simultaneously under ideal conditions - or at least get a small charge on cloudy days...
I'm actually testing one as we talk..charging the iPhone 11 pro max right now directly from solar.. was completely dead..1hr and 32 mins in the phone is at 71 percent. Not bad for solar considering I tested this same phone which supports fast charge with a 30 watt charger and that took 1hr and ten mins to fully charge Fromm 0-100
