Love the videos Danielle. I'm new to having to wear wigs. Do you recommend putting a detangler or serum on that nape first and then use the hot air brush, or wait til the detangler or serum is completely dry and then use the Hot Air Brush, or anything like that?
Hi Dawn, You might try alternately try using the Wig Lusterizer www.godivassecretwigs.com/wig-lusterizer-pump/ and the Hot Air brush to keep your wig smooth and help with dryness. Watch the Wig Lusterizer video for instructions and demonstration. I hope this helps!

Hello Pamela, the Hot Air Brush can work for all Synthetic wigs but I can't say for sure as our Hot Air Brush is a particular item is made to be compatible with our wigs. If you are unsure, I recommend getting in touch with that particular wig brand and asking what they suggest.
When you were trying to make top of the wig "full" again...does Hot Air Brush pull the wig hair out? Your wigs appear very sturdy. When you were dragging it across the top of the wig it looked like maybe the bristles would snag the cap from underneath. Do you have any problems with that happening? I am still learning about wigs. I really love your videos they are very informative. I wish I had seen them before I went crazy and bought a human hair wig that was expensive. I learned a very hard lesson on that wig purchase too...I can't even get into it - still trying to put that mistake behind me :(
Hi there! The Hot Air Brush won't get caught in the hair because it has a release button. Machine teased wigs like the one in this video are pretty durable and won't get caught in the bristles. You would want to be more careful and delicate with a monofilament wig because each strand of hair is hand tied so the knots could pull through.
Where can you get the head your using to style and hold the wig? Or is there something else you can recommend that will hold the wig in place while styling?

Hi Robin, Water isn't necessary with this brush and the hot air coming out the brush isn't as hot as a blow drier. I don't use water with this brush, but you won't damage it if you do. If you have wavy/curly hair, you know that if you brush it all together, it will end up frizzier. I would only use this brush on just the ends of curly/wavy or not at all. It's more for smooth hair. Hi Heather, Rochelle here! All hair pieces and wigs from Godivas Secret Wigs are all high quality synthetic; they never frizz and are wash and wear so heat isn't necessary and will damage the fibers - this is why we only suggeset our Hot Air Brush. With human hair, it will take more time, but, just like your own hair you can use whatever products you like. I suggest, since the hair won't grow back if you damage it, go for gentle heat for your HH piece. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Hi Bea, our hot air brush is not hot enough to create waves where there aren't any. At least, I haven't tried that yet! You give me a great idea that I will try with it and make a video. You can take a piece of hair and try it too - start underneath first. Roll the hair up like you would a round brush. Hold it and count to 20, then release and do it again. Our hot air brush will NOT damage a wig from the low heat, but it also is not hot enough to do most things a regular blow drier will do. With out wigs, you purchase the styles that you want, since they will stay that way. I would suggest if you want beach waves, check out our wigs Dakota, Zara and Billie. Can this brush be used to relax a curly wig & if so will it need to be relaxed after every wash since synthetic wigs return to the curl after washing or will this train it to stay relaxed?
My Brooke got frizzy at the ends and underneath after I wore it a couple of times. When I brushed it out underneath using a dedicated wire brush I got from Godiva, the beautiful curls fell out and now look dry and frizzy. Can you do a video on how to revive the Brooke wig using the hot air brush? Thanks 🙂
Hi Maria, just like our own curly hair, if you just brush curls, they turn to frizz. But, what will fix this is a little time and finger curling the curls back by using your finger to coax each curl. Never pulling, but gently bringing it back. We will make a video on this. Definitely fixable, this is why we don't offer very curly wigs - they do take more time and clients love ease and a fast fix. Hi Ava, I'm so sorry to hear this happened to your wig. This type of damage is generally permanent because the fibers melt and singe. Depending on the degree of damage, you might be able to smooth it just a little with the Hot Air Brush but it really just depends on the damage.
I wish I lived in Cali...I am having a very hard time finding a wig that looks realistic and they always seem to slip on my head....do you have anyone in MI.
Can the brush be used to take the flip out of a wig? I would prefer no flip but it seems that many of your styles have them. The style is reminisce of Carol Brady from the 70s
Hi there! Permatease or also machine teasing of a wig is the way the wig is constructed which gives it more height and volume and hides the wefts. With a machine teased wig, you would not want to pull any hairs but you can trim any longer hairs that you may see sticking out. You can just use your hot air brush without any concern to the teasing. Monofilament wigs are hand sewn and will lay flatter.
Hi Mary, The Hot Air brush is temperature controlled so that the warm air is cool enough that it will effectively work with our wigs and not cause damage to the hair fibers.
Hi Malinda, Ro here! You're right, let me be more clear on this; Our wigs are high quality synthetic fiber and you can wash them and dry them back to the style you purchased WITHOUT any heat they go back to their own style without frizzing. A wig can frizz when a client does something to them like apply heat (curling iron , blow drier, etc), leave them in a hot car or trunk, leave them for the kids or dogs to play with, etc. If this happens, here are some ways to help defrizz them. Hi Art, You can try looking up mannequin head or block head on the internet. You can also use your knee to put your wig on!

Hi! If we use this hot air brush on a long wavy wig, how the air is gonna react? They will stay wavy or they will be straight after this technic?
If you have wavy/curly hair, you know that if you brush it all together, it will end up frizzier. I would only use this brush on just the ends of curly/wavy or not at all. It's more for smooth hair.

Will this be helpful for human hair toppers?
Hi Heather, Rochelle here! All hair pieces and wigs from Godivas Secret Wigs are all high quality synthetic; they never frizz and are wash and wear so heat isn't necessary and will damage the fibers - this is why we only suggeset our Hot Air Brush. With human hair, it will take more time, but, just like your own hair you can use whatever products you like. I suggest, since the hair won't grow back if you damage it, go for gentle heat for your HH piece. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Is this just for heat defiant wigs?
Hi Judy, our wigs are high quality synthetic wigs. Our hot hair brush is the only heat we recommend for them. We do not define our wigs as "heat defiant". Thanks for watching!
I just purchased your hot air brush..could you show how to add soft waves? Thanks!! I have watched different videos and most just showing rolling bangs and the ends..I am curious how to do a soft wave! Thanks!!
Hi Bea, our hot air brush is not hot enough to create waves where there aren't any. At least, I haven't tried that yet! You give me a great idea that I will try with it and make a video. You can take a piece of hair and try it too - start underneath first. Roll the hair up like you would a round brush. Hold it and count to 20, then release and do it again. Our hot air brush will NOT damage a wig from the low heat, but it also is not hot enough to do most things a regular blow drier will do. With out wigs, you purchase the styles that you want, since they will stay that way. I would suggest if you want beach waves, check out our wigs Dakota, Zara and Billie. I have the mono wavy top and love it..but it is a tad too dark for my ginger brown hair (still works though).. so I wanted to play with the mono long top in ginger brown! It's straight and my natural hair is a bit wavy~ so I will see what I can do! Thanks for your tips!!! Take care!!
Can this brush be used to relax a curly wig & if so will it need to be relaxed after every wash since synthetic wigs return to the curl after washing or will this train it to stay relaxed?
Hi Mary, You can relax curls with the Hot Air Brush. However, your wig has memory so after shampooing it will return to it's original curl.
My Brooke got frizzy at the ends and underneath after I wore it a couple of times. When I brushed it out underneath using a dedicated wire brush I got from Godiva, the beautiful curls fell out and now look dry and frizzy. Can you do a video on how to revive the Brooke wig using the hot air brush? Thanks 🙂
Hi Maria, just like our own curly hair, if you just brush curls, they turn to frizz. But, what will fix this is a little time and finger curling the curls back by using your finger to coax each curl. Never pulling, but gently bringing it back. We will make a video on this. Definitely fixable, this is why we don't offer very curly wigs - they do take more time and clients love ease and a fast fix. Like our own hair, you could always do a little back combing and combine the bang by teasing it gently into the side hair.

Will using this hot air brush keep you from trimming wig if it gets frizzy ends?
Hi Mufin, it may, but getting frizzy ends normally depends more on how you are caring for your wigs - washing and conditioning, etc.

Will this hot air brush help a synthetic wig that has been singed by bending down to an open oven?
Hi Ava, I'm so sorry to hear this happened to your wig. This type of damage is generally permanent because the fibers melt and singe. Depending on the degree of damage, you might be able to smooth it just a little with the Hot Air Brush but it really just depends on the damage.

Can the brush be used to take the flip out of a wig? I would prefer no flip but it seems that many of your styles have them. The style is reminisce of Carol Brady from the 70s
Hi Jeannette, Yes, you can use the Hot Air brush to reverse a flip.
How do you handle this when there is permatease? Can you pull it out, or just work around it?
Hi there! Permatease or also machine teasing of a wig is the way the wig is constructed which gives it more height and volume and hides the wefts. With a machine teased wig, you would not want to pull any hairs but you can trim any longer hairs that you may see sticking out. You can just use your hot air brush without any concern to the teasing. Monofilament wigs are hand sewn and will lay flatter.
I thought you could not use any heat on synthetic wigs?...
Hi Mary, The Hot Air brush is temperature controlled so that the warm air is cool enough that it will effectively work with our wigs and not cause damage to the hair fibers.

Hi Malinda, Ro here! You're right, let me be more clear on this; Our wigs are high quality synthetic fiber and you can wash them and dry them back to the style you purchased WITHOUT any heat they go back to their own style without frizzing. A wig can frizz when a client does something to them like apply heat (curling iron , blow drier, etc), leave them in a hot car or trunk, leave them for the kids or dogs to play with, etc. If this happens, here are some ways to help defrizz them.
