The last of our martyrs seeks no adoration • From his castle in the
air of eternal vibration • We won’t lose sight of the lasting words
he wrote • We won’t lose sight of what matters most
A shining beacon of wisdom • Armed to the teeth
fearless conviction • Now that he’s gone we’re going to miss him
Immortalised between the lines • Conceived by a human heart inside
He once said to us, my friend hope is a prison • But the hope his
chords sung only spread love In a hollow crowned kingdom
There are no fighters left here anymore • See you on the other side
of that open door
We wont lose sight • We wont lose sight
Of the lasting words he wrote
We won’t lose sight of what matters most - เพลง
my friend, hope is a prison...
so is fear
@@primevalblades6984 you don't get the reference do you?
this song is totally dedicated to tom searle of architects and it's killing me. thank you northlane, this is one of the best songs i've ever heard
Probably, they mentioned on the facebook livestream that a lot was about people they were close to that they lost.
Everchanger just to clarify, why do we know it is about Tom? Is it cuz of the Architects quote in the song?
Everchanger lol nvm now that I actually read the lyrics it is pretty obvious...
not like their entire band's existence is because of Architects or anything................oh wait! North Lane!
i like this 2 bands, Architects last 2 albums drew a lot of inspiration from Northlane's singulaity sound as Sam said
Around 3:50 the clean delayed guitar melody towards the end is almost exactly like Sam's melodic vocal line when he sings "God knows I've lost all my faith" in Gone with the Wind
HOLY FKN SHIT
I cant hear it at all, different rhythm and pitch.
he once said to us, my friend, HOPE IS A PRISON!
RIP TOM
JoeFromPho scrolling through the comments and come to this one as he's saying it 🤘🤘🤘
Paragon - a person or thing regarded as a perfect example of a particular quality.
Beautiful finish to an excellent album!
R.I.P Tom.
We need a Northlane Architects Tour,
Sam features on Paragon
and Marcus features on Gone with the wind,
that would be amazing.
Z La nah Marcus featuring on gone with the wind wouldn't be right
Zeke they should play north lane and have Marcus feature on that one.
@@BlondPanda i think it's more to adrian
AMBIENTS ON THIS ALBUM ARE INCREDIBLE!
You had no idea what was to come in later releases when you wrote this comment ;)
Thank you for this new album Northlane.
Started tearing up when I read the lyrics....
omfg so lets go
BRO you have a lot of work to do :')
good luck nik
Lots of new covers lol
Nik Nocturnal I believe you've got work to do!
Nik Nocturnal no balls you wont cover the whole album.
I got the biggest nosebleed when i saw the songs in my subscription feed
Diego Franco same here
so beautiful, northlane was named after the song northlane by Architects, I often wondered how they were to respond to Tom's recent passing. This is simply beautiful.
Those lyrics though. RIP Tom, we need a Northlane/Architects tour ASAP
Vycrance they're playing France together
Sadly, but respectively understand I'm pretty sure Architects are finishing touring shortly idk when to be exact, like these are the final shows and tours they won't be a band anymore :(
Jordan Osz Nah man, Dan said that they have music written, he and Tom wrote some before Tom passed away and they've written some with Josh from Sylosis. I'd understand if they didn't continue, but it seems like they are
Jordan Osz I'm seeing then live in July so I guess they won't stop
Northlane, Architects and In Hearts Wake
This gotta be the most emotive song i'll hear this year. Thank you Northlane. R.I.P Tom Searle, see you on the other side of that open door.
What a way to close an album. Can really hear the emotion in Marcus's voice on these new tunes. Rip Tom Searle ❤️
Could literally listen to 2:43 - 3:30 on loop forever.
Beautiful tribute to Tom.
I have been lol
I'm honestly nearly in tears, my biggest musical inspiration is Tom Searle, and my favourite band is Northlane, this so obviously brings those two worlds into one, I can't believe this song exists
this songs about paul walker being burnt alive in his porsche
@@leobbqbeastmio2810 it quotes multiple architects lyrics so it's clearly reffering to Tom searle aswell
rip Tom, great tribute track
Mesmer is to Node as Singularity is to Discoveries. The first album of their respective pairs (Node, Discoveries) had some good ideas and were good listens, but had some flaws and weren't fully realized. The second album of their pairs (Singularity, Mesmer) picked out the best parts of their predecessors and capitalized on those strengths to become masterpieces. In other words, this album, like singularity, is awesome.
I have to agree. I like Discoveries, but I love Singularity. I like Node, but I love this.
I think Discoveries is a way better album than Singularity. Just my opinion.
i havent said much yet on this issue but as someone who loves this band i have to say i agree. I really prefer adrian but i cant deny how good this is.
I like discoveries more than singularity tho, but i do agree with the second part 'cause this album 80 times better than node in my opinon
Reed Sims Amen
Dead Man Talking, Castles in the Air, Gone with the Wind, C.A.N.C.E.R, All Love is Lost, Memento Mori & Hollow Crown. 👑
"the open door" from Memento Mori
Aleksander Vedom Oh yeah, how the heck did I miss that 😬
phantom fear and alpha omega too.
the reference I'm a little confused about is "there are no fighters left here anymore". That's actually the opening lyric to the song architects by rise against. That can't be a coincidence surely? Also I'm not mixing that up with the song rise against by architects. It's definitely a lyric from the song written by rise against
From 0:00 to 1:11 its like "oh this is just an ambient song, cool.." then BAM Hits you like a fuking brick.
I wish I could put into words what I feel/see in my mind during the first minute of this song. this album was a fucking trip. R.I.P Tom Searle
The references to Architects song in this are painful to hear. Lyrics from Gone With The Wind and C.A.N.C.E.R. Wow, thank you Northlane.
Much more than that actually. I saw references at least from Dead Man Talking, Castles In The Air, Phantom Fear, Alpha Omega, All Love Is Lost, Gone With The Wind, Hollow Crown, Memento Mori and CANCER. As a die-hard Architects fan I know every last one of their lyric by heart, and almost every line used in this song instantly remind me one of theirs. Such a beautiful gesture, and a very nicely constructed message by using almost nothing but Architects references.
TSArtwork which line is he All Love is Lost reference(s)?
Jimmy Lynch "Armed to the teeth"
It's just crazy. Yet you'll get people that will tell you lyrics got worse since Adrian left still. Marcus did an amazing job here. And the song actually sounds like something Architects would have written #RIPTomSearleTheGreatest
I didn't actually pick out many lyrics in this song upon my first listen, but I've since seen from Northlane that every lyric is an Architects reference. It's truly beautiful.
my god, such powerful lyrics! this is a beautiful tribute to Tom. thank you Northlane. "We won’t lose sight of the lasting words
he wrote" we definitely won't. never.
The references to Architects in this song are painfully beautiful. Northlane, from the bottom of my heart, thank you. This is the best tribute to Tom on this website, and I love you guys even more for it.
holy shit, northlane have done it again
T//S, what a fucking legend.
I see reference to Dead Man Talking, Castles In The Air, C.A.N.C.E.R and Gone With The Wind. Lovely tribute.
marcus is good asf for northlane
He name dropped the band they are named after twice in one line
Rest in peace Tom, insane song guys, props to you
2:42 and after is just pure epicness.
Brilliant song, painful lyrics.
the references to Tom Searle and Architects are strong.
Absolutely in love with this.
Thank you, Northlane
best birthday gift EVER
RIP Tom :(
"my friend, hope is a prison"
Feels, man
Been listening to this album for years and architects for even longer, and i’m just NOW getting the dead man talking reference. so many layers!
Thank you Northlane. Tom has been an example for all of us. We will miss him
Listened a hundred times still crying
The liver version at resurrection is even better.
RIP Tom. What a great song to honor him with. i love northlane.
was never really into northlane but this whole album is awesome.
yewwwww preordered the fade vinyl cant wait
Reed Sims I got the exact same impression. Northlane are kicking goals n progressing. Lyrics kick ass. I hope Architects can persevere as well RIP Tom
This album makes me feel like i'm living in a dystopian future that is also my utopia
Hearing the album for the first time a few days ago, as soon as the intro kicked in I knew this was going to be special and even thought it'll be Northlane's Memento Mori on the album. Hit me harder when I realised the connection in the lyrics. RIP Tom Searle. And thank you Northlane for never forgetting your roots.
Still to this day this was the most awesome live song I have heard from northlane.
R.I.P. Tom
THERE ARE NO FIGHTERS LEFT HERE ANYMORE
Okay now I have hope again in this album after hearing this
Prequel to ALieN.. now i get it, the perfect interlude
best song on the album for sure.
RIP Tom!
I already love Northlane, but this made gain soooo much more respect for them.
2:42 to 3:30 is my favorite part in any song. So much power and meaning behind this track. Simply amazing.
this song really reminds me of rational gaze.. and the hardest part is believing that no one in the comments has mentioned this yet
This album dropped out of fucking nowhere for me. Why didn't I know about this lol
Peter Quill I agree haha just gotta roll with the punches I guess
Peter Quill it was a surprise release. No one knew about it
Dylan Diaz Okay good, thought I was slacking for a minute lol.
Peter Quill nah haha they just dropped the bomb on us all
on their instagram, they posted three white squares to separate the feed from what they were about to post. I was ready, but not ready for how dope it all is.
I'm tearing up so bad listening to this... Rip Tom searle..
R.I.P Tom
A beautiful song for Tom. ❤️
This is such a beautiful tribute to Tom Searle. Northlane, you really delivered with this album and I thank you for it. Phenomenal job fellas.

Awesome tribute! Tom's lyrics with Meshuggah chugs style are a perfect combo to make him smile from where he is :')
This is soooo incredibly meshuggah
Amazing song ,RIP Tom
Goosebumps at hope is a prison

YES! Great song.
Im about to fucking piss myself im so happy.
this is my first time listening to northlane and it's pretty fucking great
Oh my God I just realized This song is for Tom Searle, now I love Northlane even more!
Great job!) really love it!
My heart can't handle this. 😭♥️this is beautiful. Respect.
This is tight.
its littt
North Meshuggah !!!! \m/
Northshuggah more like.
My thoughts exactly, really groovy sound. Enjoying it so far
would not be surprised if they did that on purpose since Tom was a big fan of Meshuggah's sound
The Architects reference really hit that spot!
The whole song is a reference! It's made entirely out of Tom's lyrics from most of Architects' albums, they're just repurposed to be about him. It's really nice.
good luck 2017 trying to top this album. beyond perfection!
Sick album duuderrr
This is so amazing
Daaaaaamn
YES SO GOOD
I'm feeling the meshuggah influence
love the new album and that last specific song, especially after finding out the reason for it to be written. respect to Tom Searle and Northlane ⚫♥
I'm so happy that I actually dug this album overall, this is a huge step up from Node
Bought my colorwave vinyl!
Props for the meaning of the song and thanks so much for dropping this album. Citizen was already a banger so the rest definitely will be ;)
YES
Nani?!
@Cyer 🐤
Sounds a lot like "Vola". Nice groove.
Beautiful and glorious tribute, listened this song with heart full of sorrow.
Almost a year left since Tom leave us, but every fucking day miss him more and more, and I'm sure, that I not alone with this feeling.
Your flesh and bones is dead now, but your spirit is immortal, and alive in our hearts.
peace for all you guys from cold Russia.
