"You will not abandon me, when this body sees decay," I've been listening to this song for over a week now and that line has completely transformed my perception of God's Love for me. I can't even begin to describe it, LOL I know it sounds cheesy but xi feel deeply loved by God. I'd hope for the same for everyone else

You know this isn't even a christain rock band! I couldn't believe it when i looked them up! They are a progressive metalcore band. lol
Many groups who call themselves Christian, doesn't really speak of God in their song, perhaps by shame, or because they don't want to be cataloged.
What this group makes, speaking about God, Jesus openly like that, I just find it wonderful. And see people who don't believe in god who listen to their songs still, well this is where we see that the mission is successful.
I am not a Christian, but by the end of their songs, I forget that I am Atheist. It is so powerful that I really FEEL- for the first time- that crying is healing. And that's a good feeling...

Never in all my life i could think that a band can preach the word of god. I was always told metal was about killing people, summoning satan, and all that evil stuff. i am very thankful the lord brought me to this band.

If you want some other christian metal bands I'd recommend Demon Hunter and Memphis May Fire. While it isn't metal I'd also recommend Thousand Foot Crutch.
Check out For Today too. But yeah it's hard to beat wolves at the gates. Oh sleeper is fantastic as well.

Where have I been? I'm just finding out about this band only because I'm seeing them along with my childhood favorite band, Red Jump Suit Apparatus . They're dang amazing! I haven't had lyrics touch me the way their entire album has. It's amazing how I've been separated from God for a few years now, feeling alone/hopeless and by just listening to this band and their lyrics, makes me realize how much I need Christ back in my life. I haven't felt like this in a really long time, as I know I've found my hope. I'm so sight to see this band in a few weeks. Can't get enough of them!......vjfgbjfpjfdp!
+stephanie nicole I think we all need lyrics like these to make us see how much we need Jesus in our lives. Without Him, we're nothing but specks of dust. With Him, we're made whole. Songs like this also help me get through tough times whenever they arise.

This is like the perfect bridge to have Christians who are into the metal/hardcore scene. Explain to Christians who think this type of music is of the devil, That this has so much meaning to us. I cant wait to show this to my dad and explain to him that this isnt of satan. :')

This whole album is amazing but words can't even describe how amazing this song is. These guys are awesome and its nice to find another heavy christian band, don't get me wrong i'm a sucker for those slow, soft praise songs but something about the heaviness has more of an impact on me.

Okay, one thing I have to say about Wolves at the Gate is that this is completely different from how I felt the ep was. The ep was epic, but this...this is very emotional and epic. There's not one song on the ep, while it was insane and great, that could ever bring a tear to my eye...."Dead Man" and "Awaken" followed in the footsteps of the ep in that regard, but this is beautiful.
Always good to hear Christian bands. It's funny how people can be so bias.
I've met a good bit of athiests and agnostics who actually enjoy music like wolves at the gate, sleeping giant ect.Might be odd to some people but in my opinion these bands are getting the Gospel out through music to those who won't listen to the Gospel any other way.

I am a christian but i listen to all kinds of metal bands. I too, try to keep an open mind. I listen to bands like meshuga, whitechapel, and suicide silence. I will listen to just about any metal band...
For someone who mostly despises religion, its hard to take in the lyrics, i like the melodie and screaming and such, but hey i might listen to this :)
