I like how relaxed and confident you are. It really shows that knowing what you are doing is more important in this game rather than frantically mashing buttons. :)
Best Salvage Video Ever. The use of the DScan to ID possible sites is excellent. I've had better luck, ISK wise, in Null salvaging - but I'm in a BNS Alliance in Delve (you know who). But I learned at least 5 new thing in this video alone. 1) How to get a Sunesis sub two seconds, 2) How to raise my standings with Trigs, 3) How to get in Pochven, 4) How to get out of Pochven, and a reminder to do the align to check a sight for wrecks (which I learned much earlier in my career but had since forgotten).
Hats off to you Mac, your synopsis of what you need, what you have to do and the order in which you need to do it is really streamlined and succinct, while still managing to be thorough.
You can dscan anoms & scanned sigs directly by holding dscan key (default is 'v' I think?) and clicking on the solar system map, or in the probe scanner window. Just narrow your angle to 5-10 degrees first. Makes life way easier, instead of trying to point your ship in some particular direction just to dscan. Just mind the max distance and make sure you are within 14au.
Just started playing been hoping to try and work out how D scan actually works, found this vid by accident , excellent lesson in the dynamics of system scanning and wreck finding by triangulation of points and associated infrastructure and structures, brilliant presentation. Ty. Stealthy type of game play attracts me whilst i get to know things , getting to cloak able ships is a goal and now with that goal, there been an interesting salvage slant to particular faction space with possible high rewards and blue prints is a motivation to continue on beyond the gankers interrupting my early forays.
I would highly recommend against warping to 100km from the WH entrance, it could easily cause you to land extremely close to the NPCs that are on grid, depending on which direction you fly to the site. 20k-30k is a much more safe location to warp at.
@@marakuyovimalesh3793 when you have the WH signature scanned to 100% with your probes, it then becomes warpable to within whatever amount of km’s you specify from the drop down list, 100km being the furthest option to choose from.
@@marakuyovimalesh3793 do you know how to scan? There is no bookmarks involved... Its a warp to point, you select 20-30k km out when you hold down the left clicker
MacGybo, Thanks. Always good content. I like Trig space. Never tried salvaging there but this has given me an great idea to try. I like salvaging. It's sort like being an interstellar Stanford and Son operation or for you Brits I guess it would be Steptoe and Son. :) Fly safe
29.07 Standing with Trigs has been removed for gate travel. Exception; access to the 'home' systems which need +7.0 standing. You can jump out, but not back in. You are 100% in pointing out the different standings needed for NPC station services, like repair your ship. The transmuter is great fun, it's a Trig structure from the Invasion content a couple years ago & turns the stars, which used to be blue / yellow, those crazy colours by eating them. It's lucrative, and extremely dangerous because everything that spawns in system will go there and fight. Also, players sometimes anchor a warp bubble and Mobile Tractor Unit there trapping NPC and players & force the NPC to kill each other.
the ships you really want though are the drone caps and super caps , dropping up to around 160m each for supers, difference of being triglavian and being in pochven space lol also in pochven really you should just ninja salvage and loot obs and drone caps farm the proximity filaments
Welcome to space hell XD I love that you're wearing the Triglavian hoodie and mask combo irl ;p Your vid is concise, comprehensive, great info! Caution with the NPC is well justified, the Drifters esp are not like ratting in null sec XD Salvaging in Pochven is a highly undervalued activity. After some mining I was lucky enough to dock up and see a T2 Gallente Industrial on the undock, killed by the NPC waiting for him. Inside was a free Cynabal! XD The NPC will happily nuke anything they dislike and leave the spoils for you, I've seen players replace a fitted Marauder within 2-3 weeks of doing this activity for a couple hours a day. Then, there's all the PVP fights on the Observation Flashpoint / World Ark anomalies which can drop some Very lucrative items. If a fleet was forced off the World Ark site it could potentially have a couple billion isk in Trig salvage there, but getting it all out without an alt? Tricky! Look for 'Zorya' wrecks 1st. While out of the scope of your video, the many Torpid Sleeper sites in that system are great for standing gains for those wanting a little more challenge. Cloak, check the NPC are asleep then kill the largest ship and run away! They can get angry! For those with fewer ship skills, Target Painting NPCs during their battles can also be amazing. Cloak and choose your moment carefully, bookmark the wrecks then come back afterwards. Get ticks and loot! I truly hope the mechanics found in Pochven find there way into other parts of the game, it's so much MORE dynamic and vibrant!
Mate that's great video, sooo relaxing! Good job! By the way, check name of frigate on D-scan, on the begining of video - in translation from polish - funny or embarrissing ;)
I'm rather surprised you weren't using the D-Scan with the map to locate the wrecks. Nice to see you doing some other content though and teaching people new stuff
Salvage is generally small and the sunesis has a decent cargohold. Some of the Trig loot can be a bit big though. In those cases, it would be better to find a HS wormhole at some point and bring it back through that.
Thanks for another great vid , I wonder if this would be at all possible without any sort of cloak just making loads of safes? I’m alpha atm so was just wondering?
@@Chazie_ you will die a lot more as an alpha in a cheaper t1 exploration, but the loot from a few wrecks should cover the cost of a basic t1 fit salvager. It would be really hard to go isk negative. I usually just dump loot at a handful of stations and come back later with a Blockade runner or other fast hauler to get it out once the value is worth it.
I wish you could scan down wrecks with probes. That would be an excellent feature. The filaments to the trig system are random, so you just have to keep trying. You don't need to kill the rogue drones, just aggress them before they're killed by other NPCs. A target painter would do.
I think officially it is POTCHben. But thats clearly because CCP dont speak proper english like the Scots and English (like me). Ch is a hard sound like in Loch, just how the Queen and William Wallace would want it!
I was slow off the mark in investigating Pochven too. Without a local it's pretty tough to figure out how popular it is. You can only see other players in station and on the overview. For that reasons, I'd recommend keeping an eye on Zkill to see what's going on.

This guy gives amazing tutorials for Eve for content of which there are no tutorials.
great video. I retraced your steps in Pochven this morning in a copy ship. I died but got about 80m in loot in a station.
Mixed luck, but was it fun?

Really good video, Mac. You’re really making some great content for EVE online and thoroughly deserve your partnership.
A very informative tutorial! Cheers (greetings from Glasgow)
