As a Congolese I am so happy with Kenyan Troops who decided to spend their Xmas and new year not with their families but in my country to restore peace and stability for these suffering people, I would like to thank also Kenyan former president Mr Kenyatta for his hard work for the region.

This is a really positive development. If peace can be restored without having to use force, then the EAC will go down in history as having achieved what all others failed to do. Thank you to all the stakeholders that recognize how valuable peace is for the region.
I had to stop what I was doing to listen these mashujaa diverying good message. As Africans we got solutions to our challenges. All the best to all those embracing such constructive engagement towards delivering peace for all in Congo and the entire Africa.

M23's concerns have to be addressed and their interests taken care of. There should be a win-win outcome.

If we are all east africans where is Tanzania? Why do they distance themselves? I can see Rwanda, Burudi south Sudana as well as Uganda are all present to solve this conflict.

I wonder why intellectual intelligent people can't see or understand that the problem DRC working with FDLR. Let DRC send FDLR officially to Rwanda then 70% of the problem will be solved. Otherwise you are wasting time.

We should try Mozambique after DRC is settled. But they are very different arenas ..peace can be achieved in DRC without much fighting, but Mozambique looks like a Somalia. terrorism

What has brought that said withdrawal is only diplomacy
Uganda is in a sector that is covering the region where ADF operates. When ADF was beaten on Ugandan soil, they escaped to DRC and set up base there. That's Uganda's area of focus in DRC now. They were unilaterally invited by Tshichekedi to neutralize ADF. Even under EACRF, they are still assigned the same sector. Eastern DRC is a very complex theatre of military operations.
@@ifitsnotwhynot7077 That's generally true but DRC is alot more complex than M23. ADF is aligned to some Islamic terrorist organization and after bombing a few installations in Uganda, Uganda's armed forces turned the table on them and they escaped and set up base in DRC. Uganda's contingent in DRC is currently more focussed on neutralizing this terrorist organization than anything else. That Ugandan contingent is a apart of EACRF.

Where was Kenya when Tanzania neutralized M23 in 2013? Where was Kenya when Tanzania provided leadership to the liberation struggle in Southern Africa? Just play your part with humility and appreciate that others have come before you, and others will come after you. Life is a stage.
@@georgeodhiambo598 . I totally concur! Tanzanians do a lot and they don’t show off. Kenyans do something small and we want the whole world to know. Even our SGR is less prestigious than the TZ one but the noise we are making is like we got the best.

If that is what they Ug media says to praise the little king, this is how it came about: At a time when Kenya held the chairmanship of EAC heads of state summit, DRC applied to join and was accepted. Coincidentally, Kenya had grown economic interests in DRC and a political friendship between Presidents Uhuru and Tshisekedi.
Then Uhuru - the chairman of EAC said, business with DRC will not succeed when there is no stability, so as EAC lets ask everybody to lay down weapons and go home, or we crash militarily.
Those who have grievances, come to Nairobi we assist you to find an agreement. That became known as The Nairobi Process.
All of EAC bought into what the EAC chairman proposed, and his approach. (well, except Tanzania).
Museveni was like Ndayishimiye, Salva Kirr, Kagame ..they supported. But yes, that was great wisdom
