However, despite our warm hospitality, our village lacks basic infrastructure, including reliable network connectivity. I wish you had showcased our entire village in your video, as it would have revealed the stark reality of our neglected community. Unfortunately, our village has been overlooked by the government, leaving us feeling forgotten in India. Many neighboring cities aren't even aware of our existence. I hope that by sharing our story, we can raise awareness about the challenges we face and inspire positive change for our community.

Great video. I came to know about the Siddis 14 years ago. From my research, this people are certainly originally from Kenya. The Siddis are Bantus and they were captured from central parts of Kenya around Mt Kenya which is inhabited by Kikuyus and Embus who are Bantus. The slaves were sold by a renown local slave trader known as chief kivoi who operated around 1700 AD. Chief kivoi was a kamba by ethnicity and so he couldn't sell his own people. Which is the reason why he went for the neighbouring kikuyus and Embus. Chief Kivoi's caravan of slave traders would traverseto as far as current day Embu, Kirinyaga and Murang'a counties in central Kenya looking for slaves on sale. Looking at the Siddi's physical attributes, i can tell without a doubt that they look very much like the Kikuyus and Embus. If this people would get an ancestral DNA, they will most certainly come out as Kikuyu/Embu. I have subscribed to your channel. With love from magical Kenya.

Hello my brothers and sisters in Kenya, thanks for watching the videos, please share and bring friends to subscribe ❤️
As an African, I find this both heart-warming and saddening. These are lost people, stolen from their homeland and dumped where they arent valued at all. Slavery and religion are the worst nightmare human has invented.
You can say that again, slavery and Christianity caused a lot of our ancestors pain and separation. The West stole Africans from West Africa and shipped them to the Americas and Europe. And at the same time they stole Eastern Africans and shipped them to Asia. thanks for liking the video, please share and bring friends to subscribe ❤️
British colonial savage rule has done this, however majority of Siddis are leading a moderately good life here , Government provide them free food ration , almost free electricity and compulsory education and free land too 👍
Well said

The Arabs were capturing the Africans from Kenya , Uganda, Tanzania and Mozambique , and sold them to Indians
The Arabs were the first to bring Eastern Africans to Asia (many to India and Pakistan) as merchants, carpenters, soldiers etc., however, a few years after African trading and working hand in hand with the Arabs; the Arabs decided to capture Eastern Africans for cheap labour and that was the birth of African enslavement. The Portuguese and later the British joined the slave trade years after the Arabs; this information is narrated in one of the videos ❤️
@@KemchoCharlie Also, some of the Eastern Africans like Ethiopians and Eritreans became kings and generals in India and Bangladesh after being slaves. Around 12 of those Eastern African men at different points in Indian history, one even fought and beat the Mughals, and also built his own thriving city.
There were many many mercenary fighters of African origin in sultanates of south India. Malik Amber, Malik kafur etc rose to be kings .

As a proud Siddi from this village, I want to share our story. We're a friendly community that welcomes strangers with open arms, without bias.

Oh my God. This is very true. My Kikuyus are in India. My God I'm excited.
Your people are right here in India, you should visit them at some point, so feel free to ask me where to visit and I will give you all the info
