    Best way I found to quiet the mind is just sit in nature and enjoy its beauty. Also, if the mind is chattering, just let it without judgement. You are not your mind anyway, you are pure awareness.

    Yes doing nothing is probably the hardest "thing to do", even our language falters to describe "it".
    I found myself questioning my mind, where do thoughts come from, where do they originate?
    Another practice doing everything with full intention and conscious awareness. This can break an unconscious pattern of obsessing over things and people out of our control. Example: I'm now going to let whatever that person did bring me down, diminish my self worth and ruin my whole day, and life.
    -Interesting how the mind caught in the act moves away from being governed by these conscious feelings and stears towards the unconscious drives.
    It's almost as if there are entities feeding off the energy our thoughts and feelings generate, like we ourselves get a kick from attention we recieve from others.

    This specially suitable for the workplace. Dont be the person trying to do the work well because NOBODY CARES and you will piss people off

    Your still processing information via the nervous system regardless of thought, the brain is a secondary means of processing information unless the stimulus enters the eyes, ears, nose mouth, crown chakra, and third eye (Pineal gland)

      @paulphillipdavies168 fair point. But the things you mention are less intrusive. External stimulus and thoughts, feelings etc are more dense

    It’s kind of hard to do this when my country is being invaded and my daughters are in danger from Islamists …… usually yes I just chill but I’m at spiritual war , now isn’t the time to do nothing it’s the time to stand up and fight the devil.
    In Christ we trust, God bless dear one .

    I feel when I ignore the mind and the heart altogether, I’m literally A.) left with the gut I.e. intuition or B.) Literally nothing at all which feels off to me

    • @richardreptar1
      @richardreptar1 27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Edit: Also, you’re right it does feel scary sometimes when you shut everything ‘off’ for a moment or two

    • @AuthenticSelfGrowth
      @AuthenticSelfGrowth  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @richardreptar1 I don't think you should ignore your heart. If anything shutting off your thoughts, external stimulus should connect you more deeply to your heart. But the heart has alot of resistance and defenses around it due to trauma etc. You may have accessed a void which can feel bad

    I can sometimes chill if I fast for the day and give myself permission to do nothing…but I’m still locked into TH-cam.

    Practice doing nothing means doing something which is called practice of nothingness.. or am I wrong as always 😢

    • @AuthenticSelfGrowth
      @AuthenticSelfGrowth  25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I haven't heard of the practice of nothingness but it may well be a similar practice 🙏🏽
