God encourages humans to study and learn everything, since science is just a mean to learn the world and the universe and it’s rules and appreciate both God creation and manifestation. Our only limit is to not use such means not for enlightenment but as a mean to satisfy our materialistic needs and corruption. Science can’t be the enemy of religion as it showed humanity countless times how beautiful the universe is and both perfect and balanced also showing how rare and precious the life in this planet is. Unfortunately we chose to be lead by men that want to challenge God by ruining this beautiful planet and exploit it to the core.

This has nothing and everything to do with the video but please listen if you want to otherwise leave it alone and ignore it. Hello my name is Justin and I'm a fellow Christian and Apologist but I'm also a college graduate. I'm not a closed minded Theist as I have nothing against Atheists or unbelievers as I speak to them often to understand their reasons for unbelief but we as Christians are convinced of God's Existence due to many real factors). I'm not trying to convert anyone or convince anyone to become Christians as that's The Holy Spirit's job to help people believe but only explain why I believe in Jesus Christ. There's actually evidence of God's Existence in Christianity. First of all there's proof that Jesus of Nazareth existed in history since the writings of Tacitus, Josephus Flavius, Pliny the younger and other historical documents prove that He was living two thousand years ago that even scholars both religious and Atheists agree with historically speaking but not that He's The Divine Son of God because obviously they don't.
I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.
Just before anyone says Christianity is a white man's religion made to oppress blacks during slavery you obviously aren't aware that the first Christians were Jews in The Middle East and that Christianity just like any religion can be used by evil and corrupt people to oppress others but you forget that the first Abolitionists/Civil Rights activists were Christians who sought to abolish slavery, racism, segregation, injustice and prejudice throughout American history. Jesus The Christ loves you enough not to give you what we all deserve which is God's Wrath by His Own Blood. Charles Darwin didn't originally come up with The Theory of Evolution over 200 years ago as it is mentioned in the writings of Ancient Greeks who believed in Demons that gave knowledge to philosophers.
Evolution makes no sense when nothing has evolved after thousands of years of human history and supposedly the first creature came from primordial sludge several millions of years
ago funny how they won't believe that God an Eternal Almighty Spirit Being created us from the Earth) which came from a supermassive expansion of matter at high temperature that inexplicably created everything in the known universe that supposedly came from nothing billions of years ago. How did the organs evolve before there were bones, skin, substance and how did any creatures see before eyes evolved? I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus. so as a scientist he can explain why a virgin birth is possible and burning bushes, pigs,donkeys and snakes could speak.. but somehow muhammed didn't went to the moon overnight on a flying horse ? or is this a matter of faith ? faith he lacked in the prophet ?

I came to the knowledge of Christ by being a former student of witchcraft and when a demon face came out at me i threw the book and then had to fight to get out of it. The demon was trying for me to let it in. I knew since the one side was real i know that the other was real. God sent two different friends into my life at the perfect time of course for me to be saved. I can not thank Him enough for saving me.

i have a very similar situation i got possessed by a demon for 3 days which lead me to Jesus Christ and i got Delivered by Jesus personally and saved Jesus came and snatched that demon right out of me and i felt it.
I was just talking to an atheist the other day who said it is angels and demons do not exist and are impossible. I have personally seen demon possessed people drop to the ground manifesting demons and have seen them delivered instantly in the name of Jesus. When you witness something like that - you need more faith to NOT believe that God exists. All people need to do is ask God to show them this stuff is real and He WILL show them.
Hugh Ross has the correct spirit to educate people. Something I have to learn...

Psalm 22 is my favorite verse in the Bible. I never understood why people don’t talk about this as prophesy when it’s clearly about Christ.
Psalms weren’t written as prophecy. It’s Israelite poetry.
People think it's about David's time in the wilderness, but I feel it closely parallels the ministry and crucifixion of Jesus

Jesus quoted Psalm 22 while on the cross, so, yes, it’s prophecy.
It’s clearly prophecy. But what I love about The Spirit is how prophecies often tell us what we can verify in history as well as what people were thinking in the moment or other insights that no one else could otherwise know. Many prophecies do. Reminds me of 1 Corinthians 2:10-11 where It tells us the Spirit searches all things even the deep things of GOD.

The beauty with Enlightenment is it humbles oneself...... The sense of freedom is heartfelt ...... It is when peace is attained at a higher level which surpasses all understanding.
Dr Ross. Your explanations and acute knowledge is a great gift from God to those, like me as a Christian of many years, who often times have found (the OT especially) hard to correlate in my brain. Its like you lift scripture into a blazing beacon of clarity. This is enhanced many times by your explanation of the actual wonders of the universe and the fine tuning that holds the heavens together, especially for our little planet here on earth upon which we dwell. My son in law used to call himself an agnostic, but then changed that to outright atheist - yet he admits that his love for climbing mountains and pushing to the summit is ‘almost spiritual’. I told him that mountains are mentioned a lot in scripture, and many encounters with God have been experienced up there according to scripture. The whole of creation speaks of God’s design and beauty. I am praying that he will meet with God on his next climb!

@fluffaduck6206 I think 45000 might be an overestimate due to how denomination was defined. However, they are sadly caused by apostasy and lack of proper stewardship of God's Word.

@@lawrencehalpin6611 Then it's just a difference of opinion because no one's salvation hinges on that opinion. Surely you realize that? I happened to believe the same as him when it comes to Genesis. Have you ever looked at the Old Testament in its original language of Hebrew or the New Testament in Greek? The word day in Genesis (Hebrew word is yom) can mean 24 hours or it can also mean an unspecified period of time. The same word is used in other parts of the Bible and clearly doesn't mean a 24 hour period. We even use it today for the same purpose such as when we say something like, "Well, back in my day...." or "the day of the dinosaurs."
The Big Bang Theory is about 100 years old and has yet been disproven. The only still viable theory older than that one is Einstein's Theory of Relativity and it was that theory that led to them discovering the universe is expanding and from that, along with other discoveries, they were able to form the Big Bang Theory. It wasn't long after that they realized there had to be a big bang maker because science does not like to believe in something out of nothing. Always cause and effect. The Big Bang Theory points out that time, space, and matter all came into being at the same time when the universe exploded into existence and that all three are dependent on the other.
In Genesis 1:1 it says, "In the beginning (time) God created the heaven (space) and the earth (matter)." Given they also now know that the universe is 13.8 billion years old and the earth is 4.5 billion years old, along with dinosaurs existing on the earth around 250 million years ago, it makes more sense for yom to mean a longer period of time than a simple 24 hour period, especially when the days in Genesis correspond to the long periods of time in the earth's history.
If you have never studied the original Hebrew for the Old Testament and original Greek for the New Testament then you are doing yourself a big disservice. There are several words in nearly every translation of the Bible that were not the best words to use. I won't go into them now due to my already lengthy response. However, you can't realize that unless you know what was said in the original language.

Bible prophecy being fulfilled is what Jesus expound upon walking with the two believers that caused their heart to burn within them has he taught. Bible prophecy fulfilled was the main message preached and taught in Acts.😊❤

@@stuartdavidson162 He did apply the scientific method when evaluating the historicity and evidence contained between the pages of the Bible. He has been doing so since he was fourteen years old. Moreover, he is a renowned astrophysicist and cosmologist who has devoted his life to such research.

@@LGpi314I believe that since time, space, matter and energy began with the singularity (big bang) that a personal, super intellect (God) created reality as we know it. He transcended space, time, matter and energy and exists outside the space-time continuum. Everything that begins to exist has a cause, the universe began to exist, therefore the universe has a cause. God is the uncaused cause. In other words, inference to the best explanation.
Correct assessment... God's Word is inspired.

Dr. Hugh Ross’ PhD is in astronomy, but he appears not to be pursuing an active academic career in astrophysics, instead pursuing a full-time career in ministry and apologetics. He is credited with a significant number of books on creationism, but none that I can find on astrophysics, the very field of science where he could potentially make a contribution, so I doubt if he is well known in that area.
Ross believes that Genesis chapter 1 could be read literally if we assume that ‘day’ really refers to and age of time, not a literal day. RationalWiki says:
Ross rejects macroevolution, claiming that evolution is impossible in anything but bacteria. So how does Ross explain the transitional fossils for large animals? “God loves horses and whales. He knows because of their huge size and small populations that they will go extinct rapidly. When they do, he makes new ones.” That, apparently, is a testable hypothesis supposed to back up his replacement of the theory of evolution.
Mark Perakh (Professor Emeritus of Physics) says, in Unintelligent Design, His possibly insufficient understanding of the subject [thermodynamics] is shown by:
“Because of the principle of pervasive decay, heat energy can be transformed into mechanical energy (or work) ... The maximum amount of energy that can be transformed into work is proportional to the difference between the temperature of the hot body and the temperature of the cold body divided by the temperature of the hot body.”
The quantity named work is not considered in thermodynamics as a form of energy. Energy is not transformed into work. Work can be performed in a process wherein a transformation (or transfer) of energy occurs, but as soon as the process is completed the work is nowhere to be found.
Ross’s statement is not literally true and is, at best, sloppy, misleading his readers. Or it means he does not understand the subject.

The Koran was written in the seventh century, and describes characters that appear in both the Old and New Testaments that were used to *manufacture* a religion that apparently is followed by, from info gathered through a quick Google search, to be I.8 billion people around the world at the present time (compared, again through a quick Google search, of 2.38 billion Christians).
A few centuries before the founding of Islam, another religion was manufactured, called Christianity, that was built around characters and predictions directly lifted from old Hebrew scripture about an anticipated visit from a Messiah who was meant to save them from wickedness or some such.
Funnily enough, the Hebrew scriptures in their turn were also lifted in part from earlier stories and the like. For instance, the Great Flood of Noah was lifted from the story of Gilgamesh; with the Ten Commandments lifted from the codified laws of the Mesopotamian ruler Hammurabi; and so on.
So there, gentlemen, is a brief explanation of how religions are manufactured and take an "addictive" hold over the mind of Man.

Comment on the first minute - as a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints I want to respond with 1) The Book of Mormon says nothing about Oliver Cowdery or other early Latter-day Saints. Dr. Hugh Ross seems to imply that saying he went through "Mormonism" but it's unclear the supposed source of the alleged prophecy. 2) I've never heard of that prophecy and I think Dr. Hugh Ross might be confusing it with one Joseph Smith made about his own name saying "it should be both good and evil spoken of among all people” - which is true 3) most members actually do know who Oliver Cowdery is - he is pretty much a household name among Latter-day Saints. 4) Oliver is mentioned in the book Doctrine and Covenants but I'm unfamiliar (and couldn't quickly find) a reference to his becoming a household name. 5) I don't know what the "50 prophecies made in the three books" he is claiming are incorrect. I'm aware of multiple prophecies in the Latter-day Saint cannon (not including the Bible) that have come true - you could start with the prophecy of the civil war in 1832. I love the Bible and believe in it - no need to take a shot against The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to make the point the Bible has true prophecies. But if you’re going to make them, would be nice to source them.

I was raised mormon. S so I absolutely loved the mormon. People, but I'm here to tell you after being in the mormon church for 30 years when I started reading the Bible, I realized that Jesus of the mormonism is not the beat. 5:12 In what version are the last words of Psalm 22 "It is finished"? Certainly, the last words of the Greek Septuagint version of Psalm 22 are nothing like the Greek for "It is finished" in John 19.30.
PS: Intriguingly, two prophecies, the insult from Psalm 22.8 and the bitter drink from Psalm 69.21, are fulfilled simultaneously in Mark 15.36 by the same anonymous person.

Thank you Mr. McGuire for all your videos! They always have such great content that strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ. Dr Ross’ presentation was no exception, very well presented. The only thing that was a miss was his comment on Oliver Cowdery, who is one of the most famous early members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Oliver Cowdery’s name is included in “The Testimony of Three Witnesses” at the beginning of every copy of The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I would definitely count that prophecy as fulfilled, along with many more, such as the prediction of the state that would start the US Civil War, the establishment of temples, the Church flourishing in the mountains of the western US, etc.
2:02 Why would anybody say the Book of Daniel was written (as opposed to being edited to remove apocryphal additions like chapters 13-14) in the 5th-6th century AD? Large chunks of it are included in the Dead Sea Scrolls, including some manuscripts written well before the birth of Christ. On the other hand, there is no evidence of other writers being aware of the Book of Daniel before about 160 BC.
The book has a translation (the septuagint translation), which dates to the late 3rd century, and early 2nd century BC. Also, the three fragments found in the Dead Sea Scrolls indicate the book was already canonical in the Judaic tradition. They'd have to have accepted a possiblly fake scripture into their canon through the span of about ten years, given one of the fragments dates to 150 BC. It cannot reasonably have been written after the late 3rd century Jews, as it was probably the time in which it really was promoted to divinely inspired. True evidence points to some time around the 6th or 5th century BC. Objections of this kind reveal presuppositions about the prophetic veracity and congruence exposed in the book
@@bennythetiger6052 Take care with the Septuagint; the famous original project only translated the Torah. Daniel is a particular problem because the Septuagint seems to be the source of the apocryphal material, which is absent from Hebrew/Aramaic versions.
Daniel is, or is the most prophetic book in the Bible. Late dating of Daniel, or any book of the Bible, is often by skeptics [of various persuasion] to deny prophecy. The 5th-6th c. AD reference is new to me, as is the fact that Daniel was in the Septuagint, which definitely means an early dating.

Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". Skeptics might ask how can we know that the Bible is an accurate account of how these events took place? How do we know the manuscripts weren’t altered when they were copied to match the Old Testament prophecies. I don’t know how I would respond to such an objection. Also, there are two different accounts in the Gospels regarding Judas and the purchase of the field. One says Judas purchased the field, the other says the officials purchased it. Just curious how these apparent contradictions can be reconciled?

The only real evidence of the historical crucification of Jesus comes from the NT gospels, all written 50-100 years after the 'fact' by anonymous authors and not corroborated, but possibly conspired. Fantastic gentleman. I am not a scholar, by any means, but I studied a lot of different religions and religion in my humble opinion, is more man made. Church I feel is in your heart. Well, I finally got a hold of a linear Bible, English, Hebrew, and Greek, as I am sure people know. So I got Mathew Henry’s commentary on the Bible. Written in 1706, this man has very good insight into the Bible. So I would read the English, then the Hebrew, chapter by chapter then read the commentary for said chapter. Same thing as I got to the New Testament, except that is in Greek. I read the Bible and then the commentary and learned so much and he really makes you think and points out things I didn’t think of when I read whichever chapter. I recommend doing that if you like. Example please: The story of Job…after God makes Satan give account of where he’s been, God did not ask “Have you observed my servant Job?” In the most original Hebrew I could find. God said “You have set your heart on my servant Job” God knew why he was there and he knew where he had been, ALL Angels are accountable to God. Then Satan answers with the only thing he could say… I could go on and on… Anyway, if you’re still reading, thank you and may God bless you. Amen. ✝️
Great advice from Dr. Ross for the truly open truth seeker--continue to seek (on the earthly plane)--but I will go one better: ask God himself directly to show you what you need to know. You will probably be blown away by a far better answer than what you were expecting: the direct personal revelation of himself to you.

While I agree with the beautiful perfection of God's word. Using carbon dating, can also hurt our arguments. We cant agree its accurate when it suits us, and then say its innacurate when its pre flood stuff, or seemingly points to an earth far far older than scripture says.

They made extra copies of the text's to pass along to other people ensuring the word would last and be past down through generations. Yes not all Bibles are created equal. I would consider the bibles created from the Alexandrian texts to be trash, some books from the Latin Vulgate are trash because they came from the Alexandrian copy. The first 4 books of the Bible were written in Paleo Hebrew, that language died and had to be translated into Aramaic, which also died and had to be translated into Greek. I'm not sure what problem your having since most info is done this way.

The books of The Old Testament such as Psalms, Daniel and The Gospels of The New Testament are definitely prophetic and truly written with fulfilled future events. I'm going to give you historical and archeological evidence for God's Existence as The Scriptures have prophecies that predate the events recorded in them by several millennia including Matthew, Hosea and Zechariah which prophesy accurately of the people of Israel becoming a nation again after over 1900 years of being scattered around the nations since the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem in 70 A.D. spoken of by Christ in Matthew 23:29-24:3 and returning to their homeland after The Holocaust with Jerusalem as their capital in 1948 exactly as Jesus The Christ said. The prophets including Daniel spoke of the time where several world empires would arise and fall including the Babylonian kingdom, Medes and Persians, Roman Empire, and Saladin and the Muslims which went in consecutive order for the past few millennia. The people of Israel becoming a nation after The Holocaust in 1948 (ironically the melting point of gold as God compares Israel to gold that's tested in fire in Zechariah 13:8 and Jeremiah 16:15) exactly how Jesus The Christ said would happen since God us everything to come in The Scriptures and not just because people were working towards as Atheists claim which are impossible for any regular man to predict.

I've studied evolution and abiogenesis in the past and read Darwin's " Origin of The Species" and I'm not convinced of macro Evolutionary biology whereas I accept micro Evolution like speciation and adaptation but not macro Evolution because there's no evidence of it nor clear observable examples of it where living creatures evolve into other kinds of species plus the fact that fossils don't show evidence of evolution and genetic entropy rules out evolution. The question begs how did two genders evolve from a common ancestor with a perfectly hospitable and sustainable environment with breathable oxygen and resources to survive on inexplicably? Atheists have the burden of proof to explain how everything came to be and why our existence is possible without the Existence of God from an godless perspective just as Christians have to provide evidence of God's Existence and the validity of His Word.
Evolution requires life to already exist in order to take any effect in living organisms so it doesn't account for the existence of Life and reality. Also evolution is impossible because it goes against The Law of entropy and the second Law of thermodynamics because evolution makes things better whereas nothing continues to get better but decays and turns to absolute destruction in the end. Mark Ridley an Evolutionist said "No evolutionist whether gradualist or punctuationist uses the fossil record as evidence in favor of The Theory of Darwinian Evolution as opposed to special Creation". God's Existence is made perfectly known and observable in the universe as demonstrated in His Handiwork in the intelligently designed manner that Creation was made, human consciences and consciousness historical and archaeological evidence of God's Word being valid history, fulfillment of Bible Prophecies God in His Holiness and Righteousness could give us what we deserve in Hell for our since but He's merciful to give us free will to choose to accept or reject His gift of salvation by grace through faith in His Son Jesus.
