Yes the UK in the House!!! Thank you for the kind words! I always wonder if I am just speaking to the air.. and if it makes any sense. Glad you are loving your Supercross'
I’m scared to put on a new chain 😂 and I definitely wouldn’t put it on right before a major race. I would want to run it for at least 3-5 races before a major event. I’ve only had one chain break on me so far and it was a brand new chain my bike shop sponsor installed that morning before my race. I took off out of the gate went into the first corner and woke up in bed trying to figure out how I got there and what place I took last night. It took a while to piece the rest of the night back together but I made it around the second turn and was pedaling up the big double and on my last pedal stroke before I jumped the chain snapped and I flew up slowly turned upside down and came down on my temple. I regained enough memory of that night that here 25 years later I can still see the ground coming up then black and not much more after that. I’m not sure why it broke it’s to long ago but I still have a fear of it happening again so I tend to treat every new chain as if it might snap and try to test them as much as possible things like putting on a lot of torque in soft areas such as a lawn until it gains my trust. Guess I might have a little ptsd from it 😂. But great video I actually learned a lot from it. Thank!!!
Sorry that happened to you, and if someone installs a chain improperly, that can happen, a pin pushed in too far, or not far enough. All your torque load is going through those small links of steel. Glad you are ok now and still riding… keep having fun!
Another "thingie" is a strait chainline. I rode 29/9t on my raceframe (with freestyle cranks/hubs) The torque from gates comes at a completely different angle at your chain and gues what.. Yup, 3th practice at full speed it snapped in half, resulting in an unwanted fronty over them bars (and the bar strait in my lower ribs were it fractured all kind of things, luckily no organ damage but i learnt my lesson to not do that ever again... (and it wasn't even a cheap chain) So be carefull pls all of ya and keep schredding 🙏🏾🚲❤️
In a situation like KJ had recently when a pin worked it’s way out, would it be safe to reset/change the pin? Or should the chain be replaced? Thanks again for the awesome videos!
My son keeps breaking his chain on his bmx bike. We’re on chain 4. He’s doing grinding and bmx jumping. Back in the day on my bmx bike o had an oversized chain and sprocket. What is a good chain now days?

Sounds like you have an amazing week regardless of the rain! Keep shredding! Have fun!
When in doubt - go change your chain. You're worth it. Tonight, we're practicing at Chandler BMX!
Always!! If in doubt... change it...

Thanks again for the awesome videos!
Best to replace the chain, when the pin works it way out the plates are stretched and you are risking life and limb if you don’t
That half link adder… will that work on virtually any conventional full link chain?
It works on most. But check your particular chain to make sure.
@@SupercrossBMX. I tried ordering a half link link in bith 3/32 and 1/8 and both were way too big to fit my traditional 3/32 chain. Stumped.
What's the best brand half link that I could find in black?
No relation or sponsorship - These are pretty good -

Check out the KMC chains
Went with a solid pin after watching Barry Nobles almost die.
You don't want to skimp on strength on the powertrain. It is called the POWER train for a reason. Why skimp there....
I need to replace my chain lol
Do it! Check your chain, check your chain….
