Great truck. Totally my style. I love bagged out body dropped trucks but there’s something about a hard lowered static drop that screams daily driver. Love it 🙂
That's right he wants to drive his truck not park it at a gas station! I built a 1972 GMC Suburban I took out the 396 engine nothing wrong with that engine and put in a 327 with a 400 transmission it ran smooth I wanted to drive it. That was right before the gas prices went up in 2004-5
Very rare I say this, but I am feelin EVERYTHING on that truck! Color, wheels, stance, and yeah baby, old school motor! I love the three tone! Reminds me of caramel slice! This truck is tasty!
Now that's how rims & tires are done! Very nice all the way around...just enough lowering...it still has bed space & it can still function as a truck & does! I love everything about this truck! Awesome color combo!🤘😎👍
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS yeah a cammed up 406 with flow masters and just turn downs just off of the mufflers has a serious chop sound to it. My exhaust is just like his, that is the first thing people ask me when I pull up somewhere, what motor and exhaust. I hope I run into you guys someday and some shows. I am in NC and help with shows in my local area. My dad has a 67 we are restoring now and I have my 71. We are at cars shows almost every weekend but the c10 scene here isn't that big yet but it is growing, I thought about putting together a club here to unite the c10 guys and grow the scene locally. Have you ever been to the auto fair in Charlotte. We will be there for the next one in a few months.
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into the inclusion of Link's related to actual vehicle! The money saved is probably incalculable due to avoiding the trial and error parts swapping to get the desired results.
I absolutely love this truck. That paint combo and wheel choice just work. I love the old school hot rod look along with the big inch small block. There's nothing to dislike. I am so glad I found this channel. I'm a big ot a Mopar guy, but I love cusom Chevy and Ford trucks. I have a couple Dodges I need to show off sometime. I have a 1998 Ram SS/T that I've owned since new and a 1980 D150 shorbed with a 440 swap. I have lowered both trucks. I'm keeping the 1998 mostly stock, but I'm thinking about either building a healthy 440 or doing a late model Hemi swap in the D150.
A beautiful truck. I think this truck is hot. I learn to drive on a 1971 Chevy C/10 just like this. I would like to have one restored to as close as the factory as possible. I would change to the Fule injectors and disk brakes and an automatic trans. What would it cost to restore one? With a Factory engine and transmission. I don't want any rebuilt parts on it.
Rusty's truck is gorgeous! I myself love the color combination and I would have done the same thing if I had white in my truck that cream with that brown looks phenomenal well thanks for the video bro I got my fix for the week
@@UNITEDBYTRUCKS I'm not trying to Jack anybody but I had already talked about doing very close or similar colors to my truck now once I'm ready to paint it. My favorite colors are brown khaki and gray
I'm a late on this video, but have to say good looking and great sounding truck. Keep them coming maybe one day I'll be in your drive way if I can get mine finished. LOL
Do those holes mean anything on the pillars? I had a 67 that had plugs covering them and now I have another 67 with them open like in this video. Can somebody lmk what’s the purpose of them please?
Yes, they do. They were for the optional 3 point harnesses/seat belts you could order special option. If you order a set of 3 point harnesses from a company like Morris or any modern seat belt maker for your truck, you just pop those plugs out and bolt in the upper portion of the belt and the other end to the floor like normal. Pretty advanced thinking for back in the day.
That's a great one! Best part is it can fully function as a truck. I have my parent's 69' c10. It's the only vehicle they bought brand new. It's semi-retired now, only goes for evening cruising and carries dirt bikes to the prairie. P.S. @ 00:36 I need that hubcap! lol (TOP-second from the left) Chrome with Black band and blue bow-tie ;) I replaced the wheels with 69' ansen sprints but have originals and one cap was lost somehow. subbed/liked :)
Appreciate your passion for trucks and especially GMs...Love the vids but can you drop the music when the trucks are running...??? Love Rusty’s truck....

I wasn't impressed with the way the 406 sounded in the video. It may sound great in person. Then again, my daily driver 79 20 has a built 406, so I am used to hearing it in person. With 3" single exhaust and a flowmaster super 44, the sound is awesome and people always wanted me to race. My ears can't take the noise anymore so I switched to the 70 series. It is night and day difference from my 88 K5 with a new crate 5.7tbi and the same 70 series muffler. The LS is great but everyone does it. I started working on my truck in 2000 and had a 383 built before the LS was even a common swap. The 406 in my truck has a forged and blueprinted crank, blended aluminum heads, ported intake, douge thorley tri y headers, comp 264 roller, full roller rockers, built th400 with an rv torque converter made for the allison transmissions, and gear vendors overdrive, plus much more. My 406 was built similar to one called the impersonator, which made 400hp and 525tq. It does pretty well towing a 7500 pound toy hauler trailer and hauls ass when empty.
