We've waited over a decade for our team to have TE talent that allows us to play Steeler ball. Muth and Washington combined might end up being even more advantageous than having one Kittle or Kelce. Hope you're doing well Alex, keep up the great work.
At this point he's basically playing as a mobile 6th Olineman and I love it, proper oldschool tight end. Just need to keep feeding him on a couple of rumblers a game and then just let him get hands on defenders in the run game all day.
I will never forget when we played the 49ers last year. When he completely pancaked Bosa and looked at him on the ground, shaking his head like "is this ur king?" 😂🤣😅 that's when i knew this dude was Himothy!
I think you're right. That would make sense. But hard to say for sure. Probably to look for the LB blitz through that gap. Helping him align right in the protection.
@@Alex_Kozora was wondering, because Brod has had such a hard time figuring out who to take, if maybe Wash was making the call for Brod to take the that d-lineman and Heyward to fill the gap - trusting Wash to simplify the game for Jones. It's clearly been practiced - Heyward seemed to be looking right at him. Let me know if you happen to stumble across any more examples of it.
I know I'm going to get some flack over this, but I'm going to say it regardless. I have to say, Darnell Washington is a better blocker than Heath Miller was, and we all know how great Miller was. Darnell is an incredible blocking TE. Not only is he the best blocking TEs in all of football, but he's one of the best blockers, period. Watch how he uses his arm strength, and how he positions himself. Heath Miller is not doing that. The idea of Washington being a Tackle and being made eligible on certain plays in certain games is no where near a bad idea. This dude has Pro Bowl written all over him if he gets targeted more. He's no shabby receiver, and what he does after the catch with his size is simply remarkable. Folks, down the line, I think we are looking at our next great TE. If not, then definitely one of the league's best Tackles, should the Steelers ever start to trend in that direction with him. He's an incredible athlete, and he turns into a well-controlled monster when the ball is snapped. He loves to block. You can definitely tell as much. If he can keep himself healthy, I believe the sky is the limit for him in the Black & Gold.
At this point I bet Washington would be better than Broderick lol and I hate to say that. I had high hopes for Broderick but idk what his issue is maybe just not really wanting to be the best he could be
It's nice to see Mount Washington being used this year.
Warshington!! 😂😂
Mount Washington. I like it.
He needs more targets.
Imagine if he was used more in the passing game to. Bro could be a Gronk type tight end.
He needs to be a redzone target or at least a setup for another mismatch.
Could be an Eric Green
One of my favorite Steelers! Easy click & watch thank you Alex!! ❤
@@babybubba527 thanks for watching!
Love me some Mount Washington
Been fun watching him grow
Literally!
The pancake block he had in the 4th quarter on Boz’s fg was audible my goodness. Even boz dapped him up immediately

Some much potential for this young player. He can be a big threat if we use him correctly. Bully Ball!!!!

Alex, what's the signal he makes at 10:02?
Probably directing which direction Heyward should go.
Yeah, he's really coming along great. At 9:30 - do you know what that left hand signal is for? is that telling Heyward to take the gap to his left?

@@rick.d came looking for this comment. Washington seems very cerebral. got the brawn and the brains, gotta love it
He’s becoming a beast
Alex, on the play action to Pickens, why does Darnell tap his leg?
Love how he's developing! In other news... Jones gets absolutely embarrassed on the first play... Lol

The whole O-Line looks good. Except for BroJo.
Matt Canada could never lol
Man, Washington is a load. He does seem to be timing the snaps much better.
People think he’s slow he just out ran a corner back
@@jlamedia744 he's just a very linear/straight line runner who needs a runway to get going
@ when he does your not stopping that Juggarknot only knock on Muth he can’t run block

Man Connor heyward is next to useless, wiffs that block then falls down. That’s a td if he leads for naj
