Perhaps he could add a cycling seat or a treadmill for each work station, so as to have an ergonomic workplace (and they’re in their twenties probably, but standing all day without walking will affect their circulation eventually).
I agree the constant 'yea's and looking around made for somewhat distracting behavior but I disagree for the 'doesn't really care' part. I interpreted it as him being nervous. The fact that he asked great questions makes me doubt that he didn't care.
