October 12 of last year I flew from Utah over to Burlington Vermont and bait a ducati scrambler. I rode from Vermont up to Maine and then south down the blue Ridge Parkway all the way to Tallico plains Tennessee. From there I went west back to Utah. It was a trip I will never forget:) the leaves in Vermont, Maine and New Hampshire was out of this world! I couldn't have been more blessed on the timing! I hope to go back this fall and explore more of Maine
I've got a pickup with a truck tent and have been toying with the thought of loading the bike up, finding a spot to set up camp, unloading the bike and doing some exploring some of these exact areas. Well this just sealed the deal for me. Maine Spring 2022 it is. Quality content. Cheers from NY!
Hello Tim. I enjoy all of your videos but this one really hits home for me. I'm from Canada, just north of Toronto. Last fall I finally got my dream bike, same as yours but red, and this was going to be my first big trip. My Daughter had been seeing a man from Portland and just prior to the pandemic moved there and married him. They shut the borders three days before the wedding so my wife and I could not attend. We were flying for that occasion but I was going to ride there this summer. I can't wait for things to open up again so I can make the trip. I will definitely include Acadia national park when I go. Thanks for the video. Safe travels.
Missed this when first posted. Camped at Acadia Nat'l park in the 1960's with my parents when Bar Harbour was the ferry terminal from Nova Scotia. Camped there again in the spring of 2019... so missed you, but certainly a great park.
Tim - I hate to be a nitpicker, but actually Alaska is the state with the most coastline. However, Maine does have a ton of coastline of 3,478 miles! You are my favorite moto vlogger and I never miss an episode. Keep up the great work so we can continue to live vicariously through you during the Covid lockdown. :)
this is suuuuuch a beautiful video! i've lived in NH my whole life, been riding for almost a decade, but only ever went up to acadia for the first time this winter in my car. i can't wait for that green to come back and get to see this for myself!
Northeast in the fall is so pretty. Late October early November we did a ride in New Hampshire from Hampton beach up the coast then hit the Kancamagus Highway. It was peak foliage season. Every mile was like I was riding thought a postcard. Mt Washington was great too, down hill in first gear the entire way.
Acadia is really nice but has so many tourists being the only national park in the northeast. You gotta travel the whole coastline of maine. There's some great roads up there in the eastern most portions of the state. Baxter state park and the surrounding area also has an endless network of dirt roads going through the forest and around some mountains. I'm actually planning a trip up there soon on my brand new BMW G310GS.
Hey Tim, use dielectric grease in the mic port and pack the usb with the grease too. You'll have no issues with rain. I ride all the time in the rain and have never had a problem.
Great to see you on the east coast, not far from this Canadian viewer that enjoys your vlogging immensely. Acadia is a wonderful 0lace to bike, serene vistas, all along the coast just takes my breath away time and time again. A truly great video, as are all your national park collection, Thanks for some much needed distraction. Stay well.
We did Acadia last Fall (October 2020) but it was so jam packed I wish I had brought my bike (couldn’t park in the park) but it is a LONG A** ride to get to Maine on the highways… so I was glad I brought my truck! This year I’ll probably Rampage my GS into the back of the pickup and drive up to Rutland, leave the pickup there and do the rest on the bike! 😎
Wonderful video. I was in Acadia in late October just in time for the fall storm which shut down Bar Harbor for a couple of days. Loved it. Fall color was at peak before the storm and wind. Glad you got to experience in the fall. Liked your pictures of the lighthouse.
Hello Tim, I lived in Portland for over 10 years and I camped in Acadia National park for the entire summer. This is one of the most beautiful coast line in the USA. I hope that you took your Dad for seafood at DiMillos! My office was 2 blocks from it! Great video/scenery as always. Now we must wait for the covid-19 to end. See you (and all the bikers) on the road soon. Cheers.
Tim, you're awesome. You are my motivation to fly to The States in the future and also visit many national parks by motorbike. It's high up on my bucketlist thanks to you! Greetings from The Netherlands.
Sand Beach made me want to go stick my feet in that cold, cold water. The thought pulled me from the corona malaise... … not that I am infected literally, but it is a psychological condition that will, I'm sure, soon be showing up in the medical journals. Thanks for the boost of spirits Tim. Better days ahead for all of us. Warmth, long rides, great views and experiences ahead..
One of the more beautiful places. We hitched a ride on the "CAT" from there way back when maybe 2005 to Yarmouth. I think now its running out of Portland. What a trip. Thanks !
Great place. Thanks for sharing our little corner of the world. Come back east sometime and ride the NorthEast BDR with us. We'd certain enjoy hosting you.
Nice Tim...We have never been to Arcadia NP, Looking forward to visiting it. Was on our route this year 2020, But you know what happened. We camped just outside of Portland Maine in a KOA and it was surprisingly quiet. See you in the next one.
Working from home, listening to videos in the background. i look up as you're going down the highway at the end and all I can think is... Good lane positioning!
Awesome video Tim. I liked how you pieced everything together to give us a good overall sense of where you were. Also, did I hear some of an accent coming out? "Trees are a beautiful aahh-ranngge."
Beautiful scenery. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. Would it be possible to do a review of your side mirrors? I also have a 1200GS and would love to hear your thoughts on them. Ride safely.
Wow, very nice scenery. That Maine coastline looks as beautiful as the Oregon coast where I grew up. You seem very content in this video. As always, thank you for a great video.
That is a beautiful video, it is cool to get to see your adventures I am definitely making a list of where I want to go through them and some of where not to go as we all have different tastes. Pretty much the Western United States is where I will be probably because I am a mountain man (or was in a past life lol). Hopefully you are doing well and hopefully we can get back out in the future this is tough for all of us outdoors adventure souls for sure. Cheers!
I was planning a road trip from Virginia to Acadia National Park, with a stop in Laconia Bike Week, but because of the coronavirus, I'm not sure I'll be able to make that trip this year. I chose Acadia because my parents honeymooned there, and I invited them to join me. We would be there the weekend after their wedding anniversary. They live in New Hampshire, so it's not as long of a trip for them. My father is suffering from dementia and I make my motorcycle road trips to places that bring back happy memories for him. Last year I rode to Moab, UT because he rode out there from NH every summer on his Honda 350 in his teens and early twenties. My trips help him and me connect by experiencing these places that are important to him; well, to both my parents, really.
@@FTAAdventures Next time you are in New Hampshire, take the auto road up Mount Washington. I love the White Mountains and the Kankamagus Highway and Bear Notch Road. That whole area is great for bikes and hikes and camping. I recommend Crawford Notch General Store and Campground.
Awesome Tim !! Never knew Maine was so pretty ! Be safe ! Google said Alaska has the most Coastline? I think Maine has the most in the lower 48? I really enjoyed that rocky shoreline too
Another great video! They are soothing in these stressful times. I believe Cadillac Mountain is the first place on the Continental U.S. to see the sunrise.
It is, but it is only the tallest on the eastern seaboard. Not the east coast, there are lots of taller mountains. I had to Google it because it was confusing me too when I heard that one. The Adirondacks are gorgeous!
FTA Adventures yes they are. My family is from the Adirondacks. I know much of that area well. Snowmobile riding up there is excellent. That’s what motorcycle riders do in the winter up that way. 😂😂😂. Great content as always. Love the gear reviews on the camping equipment that you carry. 👍
"...Maine actually has the most coastline of any state, so that's pretty wild. And pretty surprising". Indeed! If Alaska had anthropomorphic feelings, I'm sure it would share your surprise. :) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_and_territories_by_coastline Great video, nonetheless! Beautiful footage.
maine sucks. hostile to motorcycles. The dirty little secret is all this wonderful woodlands is privately owned. You can’t take a motorcycle on the golden road. You cannot have a motorcycle and Baxter State Park. I could go on and on.

That coastline is simply awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely scenery thanks for showing us all, stay safe in these unusual times. 👍🇬🇧
I rode thru there in 2004 then to Bar Harbor, got on the ferry to Yarmouth Nova Scotia, to New Brunswick, back to Indiana. Thanks for sharing Tim.

Thanks for sharing Tim.. Absolutely love Acadia.. so much to see and do, and can't forget the fresh Lobster!😃
Thanks Ron! It is wonderful there and the lobster and seafood in general is great!
Thank you Tim! Love Acadia. I was married in Bar Harbor, toured the area at length before and after. Cadillac Mtn is gorgeous, love the view!
Thanks for sharing. Chin up wheels down. Stay safe.
Thanks for watching Edd. You too!

Thanks for sharing Tim.
The story of how Acadia came to be is pretty interesting.
Great to start seeing some East coast riding...ive been looking forward to it!
It reminds me of our upper peninsula coast line of Michigan 👍

So much great riding in Maine! I lived there 7 years and saw a lot of places in your video that I know. Mass native myself as well.

Tim, if you like Maine you need to come over to Vermont! You have a place to stay any time.

Hello Tim, impressive landscape! Greetings from Michael from Germany!
I was amazed how long it took to get from CT to Acadia... just seemed like an unexpectedly endless long slog to get there...
You're in my area!!! Well, technically, a few hours north, as I am in MA....but, welcome!!!
Love Acadia!
Was just playing Fallout 4 there, nice.

You are correct!

I've been to Acadia, its awesome, but I've always had poor weather when I'm there. You had perfect weather you lucky SOB! :)
What date was this? Looking to judge what time to visit for the colors
So fun! Glad you got to hang out with friends & family!!! I’m looking forward to getting up to that area one day:-) Peace
Thanks Rik, it was a nice trip!
Cool video, I hope to be riding through there late June or early July of this year.
Thanks Jeff, it's a great plan!
Amazing buddy
One of the few states that I haven't been to (yet--I've been to 47 states), on our list. Great video brother 😁✌
Great video bud
Thanks 👍
1200 feet is not the tallest by far. It has to be near 5k I believe. The Adirondack Mountains in NY have peaks above 4K.

Nice! Hope you enjoy it!
How about a video about the 5 parks you liked the least.......;o)

I was there in September 2018 and loved it. Maine is perfect for motorcycle touring. It's a long way there for most of the US.
It's a great place!
