    Love my arteflame on my weber 26. I like doing smash burgers, first I cook the bacon to season the griddle. The burgers get a beautiful crust, also it's nearly impossible to over cooked food on the arteflame.

    Great Video Demonstration. That was really awesome between the different foods you created and use of the arte flame, I was amazed that it could keep that whole cooking surface hot enough to cook as much product at one time like you did. That culinary talent runs in the family, he even has the now famous Diski Thumbs Up down pat. Really impressive video, greet meeting your brother and Riley.

      John Knapp Thanks John! It was a great time having my brother help me with this cook. Riley is now 5 months so we are going through the dreaded potty training but surprisingly enough, he is doing very well. Enjoy the rest of your weekend

    I love your channel!! I just ordered the new Summit Kamado and I’m soooo excited. Also, we had 2 Westie’s! We just lost our 14 yr old, but our 16 yr old, Rocco, is still wild and crazy! Such fun and naughty pups! Riley is adorable!

      Thanks so much! Riley is both fun and naughty..lol. We had a Westie previously named “Snowee” he had very bad skin allergies which really impacted his quality of life. We are so happy that Riley doesn’t suffer from this condition. Congrats on the summit purchase and thanks so much for checking out the video. Have a great weekend!

    Now THAT looks like “FUN” outdoor cooking. I’m buying my first Weber, and have eyes the 22” performer deluxe for a couple years, but I’m really tempted to spend the money toward the Ranch instead. This Arteflame accessory has me really conflicted in which way to go. Trying to justify the cost upgrade to myself even though I already know I want it. Lol.

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jess, don’t forget that the arteflame comes in the 22” model as well. Not sure what type of crowd you will be feeding but you definitely have options with this accessory. Thanks for checking out the video!

    • @moparproud3978
      @moparproud3978 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So split the Ranch and 22 and go with the 26” kettle. The difference in real estate between the 22 and 26 is definitely noticeable!

    Amazing video again chef!!! How would you compare royal oak to fogo charcoal??? Love the family bbqing 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Escobar Both are good lump charcoal but Fogo has much larger pieces so you use less per cook. It is pricey though. Thanks for always supporting the channel Daniel!

    Hey guys how u like the arteflame? Is the price worth it? Thinking about getting it for my 22in. webber grill. Still trying to decide whether to go with a grill grate with center insert or arteflame.

  • @ThatguyBBQ
    @ThatguyBBQ 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    First, I really enjoy watching your videos. You give great advice and I really like how in depth you get, good for us grill newbies. Question for you. I want to get an Arteflane insert. I have a 20 inch Blaze Kanado and a 26 in Weber Kettle. I was going to get the insert for the kettle, but when I called Arteflane, they actually recommended I get the 20 inch insert. We are a family of four and sometimes have extra friends and family over. Based upon your experiences with the 22 inch insert and 36 inch, which one would you recommend I go with? Thanks.

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Definitely the 26". My friend also has the blaze and constantly complains about not having enough space for larger crowds. It's great for a family of 4 but beyond that it can become a barrier when trying to feed more folks. Hope this helps. Have a good weekend.

    If I am going to cook on a hot solid metal surface, I have a good selection of pans for the gas cooktop on the kitchen range. But I do like the way this setup avoids any smoke getting on the food! How much did you spend on it?

  • @mhammer5
    @mhammer5 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I remember when the Mojoe Griddle came out some years back and I was considering it and then there was the cost. I have a grill that has four rectangular cast iron grates and Mojoe is round. I discovered the material for the Mojoe was A36 hot rolled steel plate, 1/4" thick. I checked a metal place where I live and they stock the metal I need . Material was $12.50 plus $2.50 charge to cut. Total $15. No offense but I need my wallet to remain full.

    I appreciate that you are willing to take on that backbreaker of a hunk of steel. That was a fun cook.
    How are you managing the different heat levels that you would need on different parts of the griddle? I have a cast iron 22" kettle insert that I use and I've found that the most manageable charcoal setup is kind of a fully-lit snake setup, around the edge of the charcoal grate. With the open part toward where I am, so that I'm not reaching across the burning charcoal. So I don't know how you manage the heat from the middle opening on the Arteflame.

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jon Hi Jon, I start in the middle and once the wood has taken hold I push the embers evenly towards the back and sides of the grill leaving the front portion empty. The front is my indirect or warming side of the surface. It seems to work well but ultimately while cooking I’m able to identify the hotter areas and cook accordingly. It works for me but of course I’m still learning.

  • @Vefyoutubecensorfutub
    @Vefyoutubecensorfutub 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    basically that is a circular griddle?

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes...To me it's an accessory that adds a griddle function to your weber grill without having to purchase a griddle. I'm definitely strapped for space with my obvious obsession for buying grills, this accessory saves space and give me more options for grilling. Hope this helps.

    Woot! Woot! Dski, I just got my 22in Atreflame insert this week.
    Did you have your bottom vents fully open? Do you push your coals over to one side for the direct side of your cook?
    Thanks for sharing your knowledge!

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Stacey M To I cool Stacey! I do keep my vents wide open. I also push my coals generally to wide side more than the other to create a hot zone and a indirect zone. Thanks for checking out the video.

    • @DskiGrillz
      @DskiGrillz  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I keep a cool zone to ensure I don’t over cook some items while also allowing other items to cook indirect until they are complete. Hope this helps.
