Tools/ talent wise there is no PF that had more than him even to this day. His ball handling skill alone and ability to bring the ball up still kind of separate his from anyone you'd consider top 5 GOAT PFs. It just shows though mindset truly is what makes the true greats.

There are a number of power forwards who based on their skill levels should of been locks for the HOF, but from injuries to indifference they probably won't make it. In my opinion the list includes Antonio McDyess, Larry Johnson, Danny Manning, Rodney Rogers, and Tom Gugliotta who had injuries along the way, but as far as i'm concerned the likes of Shawn Kemp, Vin Baker, Roy Tarpley, Derrick Coleman, and to a lesser extent Rasheed Wallace were their own respective worst enemies as the skill sets of these 5 was undeniable.

DC was a killer on the Court but if he had today's media coverage they would be killing him for always having a bad game in big moments and having a attitude. He was still a seriously solid player. Him, Drazen, and Kenny Anderson should have been legendary

So sad. The hype around him as a NBA rookie was unreal. I had a Derrick Coleman hologram trading card that was supposed to go up tremendously in value due to the expectations of his success and dominance in the NBA. 2 seasons later and he was already seen as a disappointment that won't reach the heights of the lofty expectations.

When you think about some of the greatest centers of all time like Willis Reed or Wes Unseld, Derrick Coleman would look like a super freak athlete in their time with his skill set.

Coleman was a super talent and should have been a Hall of Famer. He was a # 1 overall pick in his draft class. In the NBA he lacked the hunger and tenacity to take his game to the elite level. He still was a good pro however.

Haha you just reminded me of that infamous SI cover from '95: Picture of a whiny-looking Coleman on the bench, with just the caption: "WAAAAAHH!!" 🤣🤣👶🏻🍼

Put a pop filter on that mic, please :)
It's also distorting the audio level going into the computer. Pros use a moderate mic level (peaking at around -10dB) and use post-compression and limiting to get a huge sound.

DC was ALWAYS playing with subpar conditioning which negatively impacted his game. Had he had a strength and conditioning program to put muscle on him and stamina in him, he would be in the HOF today.
