    Cheers mate, I managed to change the battery myself and saved about £30 although my MK3 Focus was a little different underneath to the one in this video.

    I used your video to change the battery - BIG MISTAKE !!! Since you pulled out the C90 connector from the fuse box I did also. After replacing the battery I get the error code Engine malfunction and another 18 errors. After 2 days of horror I solved the situation by pluging and unpluging multiple times the C90 connctor because it did not make contact perfectly. When finnaly it made contact everithing worked 100%. So do not make people to unplug unnecesary things just for removing the battery. The C90 is not the same as the air filter. The best thing for you is to remove or to redo this video. I really hope that you understand my frustration.

      You are right! I did the same.
      I did not make perfect contact, and the engine did not start.
      What a nightmare!

      You can just lift the black panel that covers the back of the battery. There's a little clip on the right under a 8/10mm bolt. Unclipped that and lift. You can now release the battery without removing the C90 cable.

    I followed the instructions in the video and unplugged the connector because the new battery I used is taller (190 mm). The first time I plugged in the connector, I encountered error messages. But on the second attempt, when I used the blue lever to connect the connector, it worked properly. Thank you.

    Thanks for sharing this information ! Proved very helpful changing my car's battery.
    By the way : I probably had an early warning signal of my battery declining : The automatic start/stop function of my car had stopped responding; as if it "pre-felt" upcoming battery failure. The system probably needs enough battery power to put the car in stop whilst all lights, radio, climate control are still switched on. It kind of "knew" shit was going to happen; I just didn't listen (in time) Thanks again !

      The Battery State of Charge needs to be above 70% and also needs to meet other criteria. Kind regards.

      It has got one tab on each side you need to press then lift it up.

    I like the video, it is straight forward. I didn't have the problem a few of the others experienced. The cable definitely has to be removed. Better be safe than sorry. Initially it didn't make the right contact but that has nothing to do with you. Just a particular way it has to be pushed in if you don't do it with the LEVER at the top then it won't go in properly. But that's my problem not yours. Otherwise the instruction is good. 👍

    You forgot to reset BCM. If a car has a stop-go function it will not work.

    Hello. Sorry but the Technical Review is clear. You never need to remove the air box for that. It's longer and less practical.
    Juste unclip the windscreen sky (on the left side of the car) and up this last. And "voilà".

      if you would be messing with the clips at the windscreen sky, I would advise to replace the plastic clips. one day you will thank me for that advise.

      @the-senior-tech  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I would advise using a scan tool and reading DTCs, It looks like there is a problem with the charging system or wiring.
