What is everyone so worried about? It's all right there in front of us. The entire lineup is turning a corner. The at-bats are so gritty. Everyone is just a tick off. We're getting close. Our process has never been better. Our bullpen lanes are amazing. The playoffs are a crapshoot. Boone and Cashman should get contract extensions as soon as possible. Yankee baseball has never been better!
Yankees need average defenders who can hit average balls at 2B and 3B. Jasson will bring power to the OF and Grisham or Verdugo have to be moved. If I’m Cashman I’m focusing on unloading contracts NOW. Rizzo can be DFA’d, DJLM will be tough, Gleyber is a must sell even if it’s just prospects at this point, I’d shop Rodon I think he’d be okay with the trade and okay it. If we unloaded contracts we have a higher chance of getting Soto next year and will still have the same odds this year. I’d also sell of Trevino. With Ben Rice at 1B and Rizzo coming back he can swap with Wells.
Availability might be a concern, but I'd much rather have Jonathan India than Ryan McMahon. Better hitter, can play second and third, would likely cost less than McMahon
Carson kelly (Catcher from tigers, 1 year left, >90 percentile in CS percent, trevy replacement) Andrew Chafin (tigers lefty reliever, 1 year left on deal) Drew Smyly and Nico Hoerner to get creative ( Nico is a leadoff bat, GG 2nd baseman owed 11.5 mil next 2 years and yanks can take on smyly, who is getting paid 10.5 this year and 2.5 buyout for next year, to lessen the return) Torres to KC for Angel Zerpa (lefty reliever, sits 95-96 mph and excels at GBs) Just a couple of things i cooked up, tried to stay away from obvious moves to think outside the box
I mean they were a 500 team last year and soto isn't gonna win you 30 games. So I mean it was expected for them to middle out eventually but was not expecting this at all. Definitely should've gotten rid of Boone after the 22 ALCS.
At this point go buy out the remained of Trout’s contract and run a 4DH lineup w Judge Soto Stanton and Trout. Y’all so committed to keeping the core together, go ahead and double down👍🏻 (speaking on the Yanks not this show😂)
Hal is nothing like his father he's a business man he signed judge cause he saw dollar sign not cause he wanted to win same thing if he's able to sign soto
Prioritizing short voicemails is dumb, I’m gonna be honest, the selection for these episodes suck, they’re left by people who don’t know shit and I feel like it’s all just a waste of time.
"somebody's gotta tell someone something" is a great summary of the last 7 years of Yankees baseball
This comment is gold

Raffy is your daddy
These guys are becoming delusional. This team is not that talented. They don’t have the talent to go on some long winning streak.
