I understand why Conor is not crazy about the title, or defending it..That would mean so little its silly. He wanted to make history from day 1,,, In 3 yrs became the 1st double champ, and demolished the best long time PFP Jose Aldo and then Alvarez. Then he achieved something nobody thought was possible, and fought one of the best boxers ever which was a big reason why UFC got the ESPN deal and that has a huge impact on the sport. After loosing to Khabib the chance to be the best champion was gone and defending the title now that Khabib retired would not make him the best fighter of his era and would not come close to what he already accomplished. He is looking to have more great fights and eventually end his career. Enjoy it as it may be a long time before we witness another fighter like Conor and his whole career and the excitement he brought to the sport. Like it or not, Khabib had his only mega fight vs Conor, and it wasn't because of Khabib or the belt.
Well I have to disagree about the best champion part. Khabib wasn't that good as a champion in particular. He may be undefeated but he only had 3 title defenses. There's plenty of opportunity to get way more defenses and even a third belt at 170, not likely with usman there tho.

Well the RDA fight never happened so that's unfinished business. With RDA calling him out as the only other true champion left in the division, it makes sense that Conor would agree. But he already agreed to a Dustin rematch, it's just a matter of agreeing terms and signing contracts. John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy have arrived in (I think it's) Portugal for a training camp. So it looks like Conor will fight Dustin. I think he wants to get back into competition first then talk about a title run if he's not distracted by Manny Pacquiao. To me, if Manny Pacquiao wasn't in the discussion, what he's doing would make a lot of sense. He wouldn't have to spell it out if it wasn't for that.
Chael Conor is not the new guy on the block willing to fight everyone as he was around 4 years ago. He already lost that. Well the RDA fight never happened so that's unfinished business. With RDA calling him out as the only other true champion left in the division, it makes sense that Conor would agree. But he already agreed to a Dustin rematch, it's just a matter of agreeing terms and signing contracts. John Kavanagh and Owen Roddy have arrived in (I think it's) Portugal for a training camp. So it looks like Conor will fight Dustin. I think he wants to get back into competition first then talk about a title run if he's not distracted by Manny Pacquiao. To me, if Manny Pacquiao wasn't in the discussion, what he's doing would make a lot of sense. He wouldn't have to spell it out if it wasn't for that.

Chael Conor is not the new guy on the block willing to fight everyone as he was around 4 years ago. He's trained for multiple oponents, he had to up his game to fight Mayweather, had to go underground to prepare for Khabib - remember his promo with the Russian looking Mob hinting he'd learned the skills to counteract khabib with his country's enemies resulting in a beat down from Khabib, not to mention the large gap in fighting he had after the Khabib fight where Conor had to turn to Therapy and hypnotising sessions with Jason O' Callaghan and Tony Robbins. With all that time to EVOLVE into a totally different fighter its totally unfair to continue blow that trumpet " Conor Mcgregor" is the greatest or can beat anyone in the devision. He already lost that. LETS GET REAL no one else has had free run to develop a system where by they can just in and out of UFC and not defend their title against a line of people who would in my opinion at the time would of beat Conor. With all the strange anomaly with Conor having rules changed just for him, its totally unfair to TRY TO Continue the narrative the Conor is this and that as though we are where we was just before he evaded fighters and had time out to fight Mayweather.
If Conor was to play it back to Aldo and the stuff alot of stuff people are saying Frankley he's missed that opportunity, he has missed the boat.
