    It was Joe who told the UFC that he didn’t want to interview fighters after they were KO’d. Before that he was just doing what he was told. Both O’Malley and Conor waved Joe over to them after their injuries because they wanted to say something on the mic so he obliged. How do people not understand this?

      And they probably dumped it on purpose because their fighter was rocked a bit and needed a breather. They left early knowing they would have to come back in.. giving him another 60 seconds to recoup. Shit like that was done all the time back in the dirty boxing era of the 40s and 50s

    Joe Rogan makes every fight sound like its the co-main or main event.. He gives pre-lim fighters as much respect as he gives top fighters.. Hes definitely one of the reasons why the UFC rose so quickly..

    The ice bucket thing was Joe looking out for the fighters who have to fight around spilled ice. You slip in that with your back foot and you're liable to tear something. It's definitely an angry moment of his but just because those guys can help in the training and preparation of a fighter but can't clean up 100% of the ice.

    Joe is into martial arts. He's not a trained announcer. He doesn't try to make people look good or bad. He looks at the fight through his own unbiased opinion like a random audience member would. He looks at what's going on. And based what he sees he puts his thoughts out there based on his own knowledge

    Joe Rogan has, through sheer will and dedication, became one of the most culturally significant men of our era if not the most. I love the guy for his open mindedness and willingness to hear both sides on the curtain. He may have some silly takes but at least they are his own unlike nearly every other celebrity out there. I wish more people were like him.

      Lil Goop, great take. I agree completely. I don't always agree with him, at times down right annoyed with what he says but I'm always appreciative of his willingness to be who he is, not afraid to be unpopular (which ironically makes him even more popular), and not adverse to admitting he's wrong when it's clear he is. I also marvel at the level of importance he's reached in modern day culture and thank God he has, although Joe would balk perhaps at my use of"God."

    Imagine how many similar moments we would all have if we had a camera on us as frequently as Rogan. Especially considering who he's around. He has more footage of himself in one event than I have of my entire life. Safe to say he's doing pretty good.

    I did judo and kick-box when I was younger. Friendly altercations are always 40% real, 60% fun, and for those who don't know how it is, it may seem to be the opposite. It is just how it is. Fighting requires you to identify your opponent as enemy, for the moment. So when you make a strategic decision, it might seem like an intention to go off on your target, but it is not. It always seems weird and somehow it builds respect toward your fellow, because you get a taste of being their enemies, again, for the moment.

      Like a lot of people I’ve been watching Joe for years, even before his ufc gig. He doesn’t lose control. He doesn’t f**k with people, people f**k with him and Ive never thought he was biased during his commentary. He just tells it like it is.

      I love Joe and according to my Spotify wrapped I'm in the top 5% of his listeners lol. However he definitely can get a little biased in commentary...I mean anyone who can't admit that is delusional. The Izzy vs Jan fight is just one example.

      the only one that he was was izzy vs jan. that being said izzy is undefeted champ went up a weight class and was talking most of the risk. jan was a fresh champ and izzy has a overalll record of something ridiculous like 74-3 in kickboxing. i see y he was bias but that was the only time ive seen it. but i would do the same thing

    To be fair, Joe has said that he does not like the idea of interviewing a fighter right after they’ve been knocked out. That’s not him choosing to do it. And actually him speaking up about it is the reason they don’t do it anymore. (Or not as regularly, with the exception of fighters who choose to be interviewed, or fighters that lost but did not lose consciousness)

    He’s one of the best commentators because someone who never watched a fight/fights before or haven’t seen certain positions, can just listen to Joe’s commentary and will have a much better understanding of what’s going on. He breaks it down to Lehman’s Terms so effortlessly.

    I think he is an intelligent and naturally curious person and it drives his thirst for knowledge. I also love his awareness of some of his defects and open willingness to explore them.

    I appreciate what Joe has done for comedy. Exposing thieves and what not. HIs stand up is pretty good. Everything he does is pretty okay. His real talent is his ability to network and and be a genuinely good person.
