Great haul from your garden. I pulled my potatoes and carrots a couple of days ago. There is something so satisfying eating what you have grown. I bet the Black Swallowtail Butterflies liked all that dill you grew. Cabin is going to look awesome with the new windows. Have a great week Chris and Kristie.
We’ve been picking away at the potatoes and carrots just for a meal here or there. Nobody thinned the carrots lol there’s a TON of tiny carrots. 🥕 The potatoes didn’t do as well at all. But that’s ok. There’s always next year. There is a lot of those butterfly’s around! I didn’t know they liked dill! Added bonus!
Good to hear the frost is staying away :) Some things in my parts got just a touch Yes -0c but mine still hanging on :) & nope I have lots of dill it just comes back year after year ! Just pick some of the mature seeds & throw them around with a little moisture in the spring you will be blessed again :) Good deal finding the windows, I've seen a sign ; I have a gun & own a backhoe get the hint lol, Take care out there"

I very much like your videos and admire the workload you are taking upon yourself. I live in Norway and it is one thing that puzzles me. I see signs saying "Private property" In Norway we are about 5.4 millions inhabitans. We have about 440 000 cabins. Nowhere you can see signs about private property. We are thinking that everyone has to know wether he owns the cabin or not.
@@arildbergstrm9065 that sounds amazing! And it sounds like people there are respectful. We’ve had so much trouble with people trespassing and stealing or vandalizing our place unfortunately
@@OffGridWithChrisandKristie Some cabins are left unlocked. Often a sign outside: You are welcome to stay, but tidy up after the visit, remember to leave cindlings and wood by the oven.
@@arildbergstrm9065 that would just be so cool. I know that is the case here in some places. We have had so many problems. Even people setting off fireworks inside our cabin, and someone lit a fire on the deck of our other cabin before we owned it.

It totally could be. We had a bat infestation in one of the other cabins on the property when we first bought it! But I think this was mouse poop. After all the bat poop I’ve cleaned up, I’m basically an expert hahahahaha just kidding just kidding
@@OffGridWithChrisandKristie We went to that once on a cabin in the Dease Lake area. I thought it was years of mouse poop piled up! Wow, I was surprised when we opened the roof tin and found hundreds of tiny little bats sleeping under the tin.
