Before I turned my Ice Auger into a hole auger here at the off grid property I was known to drill MANY MANY Holes.....I'm talking like 20-30.....I hit them all for 2-3 minutes then jump to the next one.....bounce around and find them. This also lets the hole calm down after drilling it and when you find the hot hole you stay there.
Jay… we never find a “hot hole” hahaha Also we aren’t patient. At all. The entire time we are out there we are just thinking about how we could be doing ANYTHING else Our auger doubles as a hole auger haha and that’s a much more productive use honestly Come on up sometime and we will take you ice fishing lol
