This is why one needs proper or basic knowledge of Islam to identify the deception of this kind of acclaimed scholars. He said the prophet was telling the quraish, "You can't worship idol! You can't worship idol." Look at the deception and lie against the prophet of Allah, عليه السلام. The prophet that received the revelation "no compulsion in religion " would never use the verb "can't" for other people's worship. هدانا الله و إياهم

Let’s be honest. The main people who say ‘boycott’ is haram, or ‘protests’ are haram, are those who also preach absolute obedience to the ‘rulers’. These people are typically called the madkhali cult, or the pseudo-salafi. The ONLY reason they say these things are haram because these are things which could affect their ‘masters/rulers/lords’ power and wealth. They are always afraid that if they say protests are halal, then one day people might ‘protest’ against their beloved taghuts and despots. I mean, you have scholars being jailed in KSA and other gulf nations just for calling haram as haram.
It makes a lot of sense. Protest for saving our brothers and sisters in Palestine, it is haram because of ‘free mixing’. But bikini competitions and music concerts, those are defended by saying ‘it’s only a mistake, leaders can have mistakes’.

Greetings from Mali. The way I see it is that large political protests are part of ijtihad (use- your-brain) of modern methods akin to opinion press and other ways of saying No to injustice and despotism. Despotic rulers would definitely favor scholars who insist any type of protest is haram.
I’ve been searching to see if there is a deep wisdom (to keep peace and unity, to avoid fitnat etc..) behind preventing public protests but did find anything. In fact, to me It makes all the sens that if I am going to do the Nahy anil munkar with my thong in public where I can be heard and that I if know that by myself I will be crushed then I would want to do it in groups.
Now if « the salaf did not do it » but the Quran and Hadith did not say not to do it…. In fact both said to prevent/stop the evil/injustice then maybe they did not do our type of modern public protest only because it wasn’t known or necessary for impact in their time.
Today you can enjoin good and stop evil by your hand through writing news paper editorials or opinion articles. Is that halal or haram? Did «the salaf do it » ? No. They could not have done it simply because it was not there.
The 3 levels hand, thong and heart to stop the evil are protest. The salaf with stronger iman were practicing the first level always ready to strike at injustice instead of spending much time on saying « no » e.g., Abdullah Ibn Zubair etc..
Modern protests is commensurate with the second level .. stopping evil «with your thong» by going out and saying in public in whatever légal manner possible.
The Third level and the weakest in faith is of course preferred by the rulers …is stopping evil with «your heart» that is, you can hate it but stay silent.

It's not too hard to see it cause even humans with bad intentions go to people with power to corrupt them cause horrible people know if they get to the leaders they will immediatly get an army of people who follow these leaders in their own ignorance meaning Ibliss doesn't really have a lot to do to get to us HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE TO GET TO US TO GET TO US he just needs to corrupt popular leaders to get to us and it's frightning to see how easy it is to cause chaos now another thing if Moses himself didn't listen to Pharaoh and his army then why should we listen to the unfair? Why would Allah even help Moses peace be upon him against the unfair like He helped so many? He also helped us while many of us don't even aknowledge His existance astaghfiroullah i hope what i said can help people to figure things out cause i know that protesting can hurt a country can make us go backward slow things down and annoy people but know one thing if we don't struggle OUR CIVILIZATION CAN BE DESTROYED AS A PUNISHMENT AND WE WOULD ONLY HAVE OURSELVES TO BLAME anyways thanks for reading through this painfully long comment and keep your face up no matter how bad things seem

Even sheikh Alwan and the scholars in support of protesting said it is only permissible when the Islamic conditions are met, like no music or free mixing etc. even by his fatwa these protests in the west are haram.
Additionally the first people to do something similar to a protest were the Khawarij, why would you imitate them. Protests is not something we Muslims do it’s not appropriate for us to do it.
When you are protesting your begging the government to do something, isn’t it better to beg Allah instead? We have hours to spend at protests to beg governments but 10 minutes for a dua is too much, and then you look down on the person who does dua and come back from the protest like you’ve done something when all your have done is gain sin.
Yes this isn’t what you want to hear but many of the major scholars said protesting Is haram, what you think or feels right according to you doesn’t matter, islam isn’t here to align with your opinions.
Additionally I advise you to fear Allah, why are you encouraging Muslims to participate in sin with all the music and freemixing that occurs in a protest, it might get you whatever gain here but Allah will hold you accountable for everyone who justified protesting with this video.
Really think about it, is it appropriate for our women to go around screaming in protests, for us to blast music and freemix, is this how we support our burgers and sisters?

If you think about it, nearly every Prophet of Allah SWT protested in some way against the people and customs of his time. Lut AS protested against his people for a particular sin. Ibrahim AS protested against idol worship.

if the reasoning for protests/demonstrations being haraam is "well, the Prophet (saw) and sahaaba never did it," cool. then using the internet, driving cars, using phones is also haraam, since there's absolutely zero chance they ever used these things also
that's how stupid that argument and reasoning is

I agree with his idea but not with how he present it. Like itaqqillah. Maybe a cultural thing, but not helpful in battle of ideas. It insinuates the opponent are munafiq, kafir, totally againts Allah. This is not democracy. For free speech is good. But in the sametime be to harsh as to make division in ummah is wrong. Battle with hujjah arguments not labelling, munafiq, wahabi, boot licker. Have a decorum in disagreeing/debate.

Free speech is good, always. But how you do it matters. No inciting violence, just change policy. No takfir, like your group has the monopoly on truth, others are ignorant their ideas has no value. Countries has law that preventing it from getting too far. Malaysia has taboo subject 3R Royal Race Religion.

Well for one I'm not Salafi, and I'm under no obligation accept the sheikhs position, respectfully. Try to peacefully ask for more rights or even send an email criticizing MBS and you might just end up under the sword. This is position of dictators, the biggest fear of the gulf rulers are two words Islamic democracy. They would rather see the genocide of the Palestinians than support their movement for democracy and true freedom. Let's not forget, MBS cannot wait to establish diplomatic and normal relations with Zionism, let that sink in. Moreover, what is our prime directive as Muslims when we see munkar? Consult the Salaf?, let's get real

This is why I could never convert to Islam. You guys are so conflicted on the most basic of issues! This is why there are so many sects, and factions within those sects, each claiming the others interpretation or practices are wrong. The last and final testament doesn't seem to be so clear , if it was you wouldn't need so many hadith to explain what is in it, and even then many argue about what hadith are sahih or authentic. Too much confusion and if Muslims are honest they know it's what im saying is true.

    Salaam from 🇸🇴
First of all, this Sheikh is trying to Correct another Sheikh who he sees him as if he is wrong, but the unfortunate is that He ( This Sheikh) insulted Biden how can you insult some one when you are acting as if you are a great sheikh. Does Islam allow its followers to insult anyone? No.
Second, when you speak to anyone Calm down no shouting, that is not the way Islamic scholars talk to others. Quran 15:88 ( And lower your wing [i.e., show kindness] to the believers.)
Third, According to my knowledge in Islam. Today’s demonstration that happens in western counties has no basis in Islam . And Muslims should not participate it all. Today, We all know Israelis are killing Palestinians, should Muslims demonstrate or Fight against killers?
Fourth, When a muslim try to stop a bad action which a person or a government wants to do , he/she is Warner and vice verse he/she is bearer of good news . He/she is not a demonstrator. Allaah knows the Best.
