Can you please talk about recent talk from doctors on youtube discouraging these procedures because they say they melt the good fat and that people will end up resenting them?
I think it’s because lots of places don’t know how to use these devices. They’ve been doing it in Korea for a decade longer and Koreans are known to have amazing skin
I second this! Hearing about people losing volume in their face has scared me out of wanting to get one of these procedures done. But I also wonder what percentage of people have that issue and if derms normally see great results in most of their patients. I’m wondering if it’s just a similar bandwagon to people demonizing filler and cosmetic procedures in general, which I’m convinced is a continuation of misogynistic attitudes towards women where it’s damned if we do and damned if we don’t(-look good and don’t age but also don’t get procedures done).
Can we plssss get a more indepth video about this? Also HIFU and dermapen and also who you're seeing getting these treatments and whether you think they're a good form of preventative anti aging treatment - I'm 34 for context ❤
I understand depending on the professional using the device and adjust your results but which one is LEAST likely to change your facial fat?? As I heard both have potential to melt facial fat. I want to lift and tighten and keep all the fat in my face.
what about Fotona 4D? I have loss of volume around nose and nasolabial area and also a bit of sagging at the jaw that I hate. I have a thin narrow face but with nice cheeks, would fotona melt my facial fat pads and cause me more volume loss and worsen my problem? I have a very narrow jawline and lost some volume caused by dental procedures...Would it help lift my jaw area and create volume around my mouth area or would it worsen? thanks :)
I believe it depends on your provider- you need to go to a very reputable provider who has done many procedures. When you find someone, throughly check their reviews about it and the before and after
Why did I miss this short? 😱😱😱😱 I' m 50, extreamly oily, beyond retinized goodgurrrl skinned. Zero wrinkles, zero dark spots. Sagginess started to feel and show on my DAOs and upper third of platysma in February. I have Thermage scheduled this October but I don' t fit AT ALL in your candidate description. Je ne suis pas une prune😌. Je suis un dauphin post-isotrétoïne✨. Appointment cancelled. Cannot thank you enough🧛🏻♀️😘🖤!!!
So if you’re noticing minor sagging/jowls but don’t want injectables what should you do? It sounds like thermage and ulthera are for more advanced cases
Im curious to know the price ranges of all the different services spas give. Theres so many i dont know what would be best for my skin type and age. Also they never put the prices on any spas websites🙄. Please can you do a video explaining these services.🙏 its intimidating taking a dive into all that. I really want to look and feel good about in my skin🙏
I disagree do thermage no laser lifts only a face lift does that and eventually most people are lifted with surgery with wrinkles on their faces. My mom is 68 and had her face lift and the doctor said she had the most youthful face not even 50 year olds have her skin. She did it at 35, 40, 45, 50, 55, she just has a lot of collagen banking and she gets her sculptra.
@jemilliakennedy6625 I think she's saying her mom first got it at age 35 and then got a treatment once every 5 years to maintain the collagen in her skin. I've heard this is recommended to slow aging with "collagen banking".
@@jken5 she has used not only thermage, these energy devices could have been called something else back then, I do know she told me she started energy devices in her mid 30’s and repeated it every 5 years. The key thing that I took from her experience is that these devices don’t prevent sagging but do help maintain thick, robust skin since it activates the collagen. Now she was lucky that her practitioner never melted her fat back then these handheld devices didn’t have settings that could correct human error, they could have easily done multiple passes or used intense pulses that could go deep enough to where the fat pads are and melt them. It’s amazing that this has been out there that was unbeknownst to the rest of the public since 1990s. Also it’s not a laser, I called it that in my last comment, thermage is an energy device that functions differently than a laser. Hope this helps
Hi Dr. Idris, which one is more painful / tolerable procedure, Thermage or Ulthera? I heard that Ulthera is so painful that some people get full anaesthesia to undergo this procedure.
Hi, i did both, personally i think ulthera slightly more painful than thermage, i took nurofen before the procedore for ulthera but i think its ok still bearable , dont be discourage ❤
@@Sunshine-uk7yo hi, my doctor actually suggest to do both, ulthera and thermage. Because he told me we need to fix both the upper layer skin and down part of the skin( sorry for my broken english ). So what i do i alternate , because it was too expensive, so this year i do ulthera next year thermage and so on and so on. Honestly for me i dont see result from thermage but i see result from Ulthera. But my doctor always remind me that the thermage actually stop my skin from wrinkle. Im 45 i took my son for his first year in uni and people asking me so are you in your first year? What major are you taking? So i think all the machine do help
@@Sunshine-uk7yo at the end of the day if you want to try, i think it depends on what you want. Do you want for your jowl to lift then you go for ulthera, but if your skin is wrinkle prune then tighthen or prevent it with thermage, hope my comments help, love and hugs
Please doc can you do an in depth video of this and how to know which provider to go to that knows how to tighten skin and not melt fat? I want to do it because my lower face feels saggy but I’m still “ young” and have fat there so I’m scared it will take away the last bit of youth I have lol
I would avoid ALL these devices! It’s too risky. Who does maintenance on these devices? Has the provide had proper training. I’ve seen way too many faces ruined from lasers. It’s awful. Many doctors invest upwards 150k in these lasers and sell these procedures HARD because they need to recoup the cost. Run from that heat. Stick to Trentinoin, vitamin C, a good moisturizer, and occasional peels.

So would it be good to use only in lower part of face? I would love to get rid of fat there 😃
Yes and also that they make it hard to get a good facelift result later down the line
I love how you explain things concisely

In Korea we often get both at the same day, it’s called Ulthermage😂
How much does it cost? In the US, these therapies are very expensive.
@@onefineday9266i would also like to know 😮
I followed this doctor who also said the same thing that we actually need both, to tighten the upper skin and below skin as well
@@onefineday9266 less than USD 500 usually

I’m scared to do ulthera because so many people lost natural fat :(
Sorry I’m a complete noob. And new to all of this. Is HIFU the same as ulthera?

With melasma prone skin do u prefer thermage procedure??? Plz reply
Thanks for the explaination! Can we do thermage at a young age (near 30) as an preventive method?
For collagen banking, yes
I did it at 28 😂
Would you recommend this for people with Melasma? Or would the heat from the lazer make the pigment worse.
Can tell how to treat and prevent melasma, when u work outside and have a very sensitive couperosa skin and it's dry , please help ?❤❤❤

I think it’s actually for the beginning stages of aging because you won’t get crazy results and it won’t be as effective as a facelift.
Choose ulthera for jowls

What are your thoughts on sofwave? Fat loss? How does it compare? Thank you!!!
How do you prevent facial fat loss from these types of procedure?
Do you know doubletite? Is it better than ulthera?
