To answer the question on how to stay invested in the game- it’s an interesting time for Digimon. On one hand. You have very NPE decks in the game that don’t let you really play it- Magna X, Tyrant, Mother Shoto- this is a current hurdle. On the other hand, the power level of rookies, lvl 4s, and lvl 5’s have gone up tremendously, making it more possible to come back in games. We’re reaching a bit of that Magic or Yu Gi Oh point, where you can build old or crazy decks that work decently. As long as the silly decks are not having to get smashed by non-interaction decks constantly then the game can stay interesting with new decks
"Local legend Mago" here 😂 On the Leopardmon thing: We could have had 8 potential Leopards (plus X and Leopard mode), but instead we effectively only have 4 because it's really awkward to slot in the blue version into a predominantly green deck. I'm assuming that from here on out, the blue Leopard will no longer be supported, effectively killing that strategy. From the flavor/lore side of things, Leopard in blue made sense because of how the color housed a majority of the "fast" Digimon. Ulforce, MelGa, Mirage, Leopard, etc...and the speed is reflected in the color's identity. Multiple unsuspends, jamming to represent the ability to attack while not being hit, etc...While "jamming" isn't an explicit thing in the lore, it was meant to represent his role of a strategist among the RKs. It was a stand-in for his ability to coordinate attacks from other Digimon while not losing "soldiers". I'm not even a big fan of Leopard, I'm just not a fan of strategies "dying" because they already had 3 other RKs in blue...
For me I started 2 years ago randomly. I asked a friend if they wanted to try a new game out aka digimon. And for a little it was just him and me playing sunday's. Now our lgs has 20 digimon players, our lgs is registered and host pre releases, tournaments etc. what keeps me in the game is future diaboromon support and winning a locals with the deck
It's comical all the places you can insert Shoto and/or Mother. Every flavor of megazoo (curious if y'all are planning to do an updated deck profile on that one), Devas, random green piles that play the unaffected level 5's, Shakkou, not to mention the Sec Con variants that I can't wait to draw with in every tournament. It's truly insane how good they made Shoto LOL
I entered it last Saturday and confused Joe… It didn’t do great but couldn’t resist playing turtles… Ideally you play eldradimon which plays SaberLeomon ace and dna for a lot of dp negatives. Unfortunately no protection and if they can answer your field then you struggle to get back into the game
Ex-06 infer for quick digivolve, rapidmon from starter deck for dedigivolve and stickiness, mamemon cause we are hybrid base. Fill the rest with typical mother shoto stock. Fzp, Laplace demon, I put in 3 kera to help search clock but haven't tested it yet.
So just saw that Digimon and Monster Hunter were doing a digital pet crossover so got me thinking what franchise would you guys like to see the TCG cross over with
Something I greatly disagree with is how a card game should handle its Ban list if a card gives too much power, is overused, or is challenging to overcome. The same perspective about Manganamon X. Originally you guys thought this card was too good, but realizing over time it's fine. The Game is fairly balanced, but you speak as if we need to keep the meta in check. "Think of the children" meme up in this place. A common topic for you guys is the "what card needs to be banned/ choice restricted" flavor of the week. The game will never go back to the way it was. So you can find ways to enjoy it rather than always having the need to talk about old faithful... aka the ban list. Another Note: I play purple base Dex. There has to be more reason than saying it has 10 searchers for it to be better than the black base. If you are a person of fact, than the Black base is doing better. I know more people are playing purple for a reason but Black is getting the W. If you prefer purple, great. Same here, but Black has the results.

For Tlalocmon you use Mega Digimon Assembly to DNA and then he just sits there and just has a good time 😊
Top 10 cards I'm not playing!

Amazing you predicted the Mother D-Reaper Championship stamp, Jacob
Motherly reaper with shoto using satsuki and black hybrids like to build up to Diaboromon top end, and using the clock of the end win con.
Go on 🧐

and we got the AA for mother d-reaper 🥳
I think we also get ex8 in between 2.0 and 2.5
Basil, your thoughts on Royal Base?
D reaper alt art…. It doesn’t deserve one
I dont appreciate your comments about Tlalocmon, I cast no alt art mother d-reaper unless its followed by a ban
Nats participation! Gg
I wish I had something nice to say about my community, it just became a clique
