    This is awesome! Technically speaking, you could avoid setting up a shop in an overcrowded marketplace, hoping to get noticed, or pay money maintaining a site on platforms like Shopify! Granted you would have to do your own marketing, but love the freedom of it! Sort of reminds me of drop shipping with how the money is collected! Thanks so much! love it!

    Thank you! Thank you! I was going to ask you to show a video like this, and, ta da! You did it! I also like the Launch Cart idea as it is like Square, where you only pay a fee if there is a sale. I don't mind doing that. I don't like paying a hefty fee for nothing sold. I have had an online store before but I forget how to do this stuff. I also watched your video on why you left Etsy and then this one and the two synched well. Thanks again!

    I agree t-shirt sizes are a pain. I started selling t-shirts on Etsy back in 2015. I made and shipped them myself, but still had about 5 to 6 percent return for refund due to sizing issues.

    How long does it take for launch cart to release the money to you? For example if a costumer buys something from your website, will the money be available to you right away,or do they pay print full and just give you your profit? Thanks for the great content btw!!!

    Another amazing video. I sit here and wait for your videos, yeah I know, I need a life :) The only question I had is it looks like you can't do free shipping by using LaunchCart since you'll never really know what the amount of the shipping will be until you're at the actual check-out section. Is that correct? Thanks again for another great video :)

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's my understanding as well - I'm not aware of an "easy" calculated free shipping option (unless you jacked up the prices on the merch and just put shipping as zero dollars). Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate you!!

    Hi Zen Watercooler. A very interesting video. How does the whole sales tax thing work when making sales? Also how are out of country sales handled as far as sales tax is concerned?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Generally speaking, if you are paid commission, you should be reporting it on your taxes (typically as business income). You can usually deduct expenses that helped you earn that income (like a computer, software, internet fees, etc).

  • @lory2videos

    Do you know by chance if by using launch cart and printful, if a person can upload their own photo for any of these items? Rather than putting in my own artwork to sell. In other words every order would be a custom order according to what the customer would upload.

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey there - yes any customer could set up a Printful account and just upload their own photo and get a sample order printed to their house. But then they wouldn't need your shop (like what value would your store be providing, since they would just be dealing with Printful). Etsy sellers do custom orders, but they are typically for customers who don't have computer skills (or the time or interest to do it themselves).

    • @adriennemartina2384
      @adriennemartina2384 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have a store on launchcart and you use printful for POD on your launchcart store nobody buying from your store can upload a photo or anything. All they can do is buy from your items available. Now you can set up an option for your customers to be able to request for you to personalize an item like add the name to the item or happy anniversary something personalized like this but they can not upload anything. Hope this answered your question.

Also when you designed the first poster we’re you designing it on LC or printful? I got confused ! And the shipping can also be taken care by printful instead, as well as the payments? … thanks and yes I am an absolute beginner!

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm you should have in Launchcart under "products" - scroll down in your listing to "shipping" and make sure that the default shipping rule is activated. You can go into your store and add the item to your cart and enter your address (like pretend that you are going to buy the item). You should see the shipping as listed as "calculated after shipping input". Hopefully that helps? 23:45

    why there is no pyooner for payments only paypal and stripe

  • @vistapri9290
    @vistapri9290 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    You inspired me to use Launchcart. I'm confused about the payment system, though. I've added Paypal as payment for both LC and Printful. Does it mean everything will go through automatically, i.e. LC will deduct the fees before funds go through Paypal and Printful will deduct their cost automatically from my Paypal?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes it's really two separate transactions. #1: If you sell a shirt, Launchcart will take the payment and deduct their fee. Launchcart then pays you (in your PayPal account). #2: Printful will print the shirt and charge you. So you just need to pay Printful (either with a credit card or with PayPal). You can set up your payments right in Printful (I've used credit cards in the past to get loyalty points and then just transferred PayPal money to pay off the credit card for example).

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes when you place an order with Printful, there's a point where they ask you to pay via credit card and confirm the shipping address. So you can time it where you get paid from Launch Cart and then use that money to pay off the credit card and bank the difference.

    do customers get to know your address and how do you let them know "no returns"? where do you put that info? How can they send something to you if printful and launch are sending the shirts/items?

    • @zenwatercooler
      @zenwatercooler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      LaunchCart has themes so you can set up your store (it's in "settings"). There's a "contact us" window where you can put information about who you are and what your return policy is. Generally speaking, you (as the shop owner) would need to decide if you are accepting returns or not. If you are not, then they could email you, but you would not be accepting returns. If I ever run into a problem, I typically work it out with Printful and they send the customer a replacement (like if the shirt is damaged).
