  • DSServo or (on Amazon.com) Annimos-Servo - DS3218MG and DS3225MG.
    Super popular for scale crawlers because of their awsome price, waterproof, good torque.
    Both did well in my tests and can be recommended.

    Good torque tests. But what about speed and centering?

    Yes, they are the go-to servo in our club, just ordered a 4 pack of 3218 from amazon this morning $55 free shipping.......promised by 9 pm tonite😎

      Thanks!
      In BG-CZ and UK-Warehouse here in EU DS3225MG are 11-14 € with free shipping (and 1 week delivery, if in stock) - actually 14.69 US$ in UK WH - this is an awsome price! "Our" Amazon (.de) does have those servos only for much higher prices, 3218 (with free Prime shipping) is about 18 - 20 €... still a good price, but BG is the way to go here (if you do not need it next day ;-) ).

    Will the 25kg fit in a Scx10

  • @bradleycoleman1837

    Is there going to be a difference in the torque depending on mounting position used on the servo horn? I assume the ideal distance on the servo horn would be 1cm from the centre of the servo output shaft?

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Nearer, more torque, less speed, farther outside, less torque, more speed. There is no "ideal" position. 1 cm is the distance servo torque is measured (in kg), in few countries they use inch (and ounzes) for this.

    Would be interested to see how they go on 7.4v with the 1080

    • @freedomtobefred8233
      @freedomtobefred8233 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Can these servos take 7.4v and survive, I am interested on the life span at that voltage.

    Is this servo actually waterproof? Would it withstand pressure under 10ft of water? (For use with an RC Submarine of sorts)

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, would for sure not. It can take short dives and splashes, but not being a submarine.

    Would you recommend DS3225MG over DS3218MG in terms of precision? Any torque more than 18kg is fine.

    • @donaldsneffe
      @donaldsneffe  ปีที่แล้ว

      Precision will be the same, but 3225 is stronger - so I recommend 3225MG.

      Very strange both should be broken...

    We call em ds servos here in America. They aren't the fastest but there so cheap I don't complain

    Это совсем другой тест, отличный от заявленного. Параметр в кг-см, указанный в спецификации, обозначает не динамическую тягу, а величину статического противодействия обратной связи на приложенное усилие. Это технический параметр, не имеющий практического применения. Его назначение - условно классифицировать сервы по мощности.

    • @nigel_white
      @nigel_white ปีที่แล้ว

      @@miximum1 There is nothing to program in these Annimos servo. The input to output is linear and can't be changed, unlike some higher end servos where you can program the speed, torque and angle within the servo. Now, could you control these Annimos servos with Arduino? That's a possibility.

    To get the full servo's potential you need 12V at 3.4-3.6 Amps.😉

    • @sanperez313
      @sanperez313 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would I need a servo driver to accomplish that?
