After watching lots and lots of tutorials, finally found this one. Your a genius sister it has worked very perfectly for me. Thanks for sharing your best my dear.
You have a very soothing voice and teach with such clarity! Thank you.
You have just demystified one of the most difficult things about drafting patterns!
Oh, My, Goodness! I've watched about 30 tutorials, but I did not really understand until this one. I can't thank you enough, DAMI! This is going to make all the difference. Whew!👏👏👏
Your voice is good and very soothing too. Good teacher
watched it several times and I have saved it fro future reference . I found it very easy to follow aftr the thrd attempt. It has greatly helped me with drafting a sleve pattern .Now i plan to put it into practice.Thank You
I have never understood sleeve drafting until watching this video. I didn't even understand your first video lol. This was great; you made the measurements easy enough for this "not" math major to understand. Thank you so much!!
I lack words...thank u dummy for ur simple yet professional way of teachings
Wow! You make what has before been so difficult, so simple. Thank you so very much. I can see me sewing at ease in the future. I will be looking out for more of your tutorials. Thank you.
You are so welcome!
You simplified everything I’ve learnt from school. I stayed away from pattern making because I couldn’t understand the process but that was until I found your Chanel. Thank you.
You have solved the mystery of the basic sleeve....thank you so much dear...God bless you!
Thanks Dami. I find your tutorials quite insightful. Thanks also for sharing about Skill Share. I've heard a lot about and will give it a try. We sometimes tend to be stuck to a particular formula forgetting that there can be different routes to one destination and the most important thing is getting there. I'll definitely be trying this sleeve option out!
On point tutorial with a hardest part of the cutting explained. Thank you for providing a very useful content.
Years of trying this out finally understanding this, thank you
THANK YOU SO MUCH---YOU REALLY EXPLAINED THIS SO WELL!!! THANK YOU AGAIN!!!

Thanks so much for this tutorial, so simple to follow! Can you tell me what I should do if the sleeve pattern doesn't match up with the armhole pattern? Thanks!
Very well explained. Ready to follow. Thank you Ma'am.
this is so much better because the curves on the shoulder throws me off. this is very explanatory. thank you sooooooooooooo much for sharing
Thanks so much! Can't wait to try it for a certain project I'm working on. Do you have any tutorials for drafting puff sleeves?
Thank u so much ...
U used 7 from shoulder as bicept point
Is that the standard meusrement?
Exactly my same question
Standard Cap size is 5 inches (Generally between 4.25 and 5 will work)
Thnk you so much for the ease way to make a sleeve
I wish i can love this video, not just like. Thank you for showing this. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks Dami,u are so amazing!
Wow, thank you so much sister for your video... Now I understand this concert., God bless you more
You just make sewing simple for a beginner like me 😍❤ I'm so thankful to your tutorials.🌷
perfect tutorial. thank you🙏
Your tutorial on sleeve is so clear and concise. I truly appreciate this ❤ 👍
Do you have a tutorial on short sleeves, please?
You are literally the best.
Dammy, you are one of the best
Thank you for the tutorial but why did you use 7.5 inches as cap height? is it a universal number?
Really liked and learned a lot! Thanks!
hello Dami, thanks for the tutorial, this is obviously a long sleeve pattern, does it also apply to a short sleeve? moreover, is this updated version applicable to your basic bodice pattern or you'll still update your basic bodice block for this sleeve to match?
Is the 7 or 7.5 inches for the biceps line a constant?
Thanks much Dami so easy and simple
This is d only tutorial I was able to understand
Thank you very much ur explanation was crystal clear ..
Hi Dami, thank you for the sleeve pattern, the old sleeve pattern drafting used cap measurement and where is that accommodated in this type of drafting? Blessings
This is great. Do you draft patterns for public sale?
Thank you so much. I have always had problems with sleeves.
Same with me I just condemn a dress now cos of d sleeve
Hi Dami may I ask why 7" for the cap height or how you came to that?.....thanks!
I love your tutorials
You are the best . thank you
Can I use this method for a male senator
yes ! this is a much better fit and method. Much smoother. Thanks!!
love your simple and understanding way of teaching
Thank you:)
Dami, you’re my forever go to TH-camr but this was pretty challenging for me😀
Is shoulder to bicep 7 for every person?
Thanks a bunch
Thank You for explaining it so well🤗
Perfect and thank you
How did you get the 7" for the cap height?
It’s standard
it so clear to understand
Thank you very much for your tutorial. I've done now the bodice and the arm pattern, but unfortunately the arm doesn't fit into the armhole. How can I make any adaptations?
Could you give me a hint. The Arm curve is much wider than the armhole.
This is typical and also depends on the type of fabric you use. I have noticed by making the sleeve cap more wider and flat rather than pointed it does better. This pattern tutorial made my shoulder too pointed so I am going to shorten the cap from 7 inches to 5.
Thanks you so much
This is way easier and understanding 💕👍
🎉🎉that's great
So simple dear.. 🙏 🙏
Thanks for the lesson
Thanks for sharing. What about the cap height?
Thanks for the video, I learnt something new
really understandable
Hi Dami, Is it an issue if I measure the sleeve curve and its a bit more than the measurements on my arm hole?
Really good tutorial 😊 thank you 🙏
Excellent
This is the easiest method I've seen so far.
This is bigger than my blazer armhole.. is 7 a standard caps height?
How does one come up with the measurements that makes up the curve? Thank you
Wow! Thanks I would try it
How do you make a basic sleeve pattern for a 4yrs old girl a long sleeve plz
Thanks so much. It's really decent.
May I get the bodice pattern for this sleeve pattern pls?
Hello, Dami, can this basic block be used to make your two piece sleeve. I"ve checked out the tutorial but you used your previous basic block, not the updated one.
🙏 super 🙏
Wow lovely
But ma I can't find the link you ask us to follow
How many Ihave to cut the armhole for this measurements
Must the bicep be always 7 or 7.5? Because the measurement is always divide bust by 12 then add 1
Thank you for always providing updates. I was about to ask same question. Biceps measurement is normally taken at the cap's height which is normally between 3.5-4.5 depending on the size. So why use 7 as the biceps?
We'll find out soon I hope. I will draft one in the mean time using this formula though.
I hope she answers as well.
Thanks ma.must the bicep be 7 or 7.5 inch.u did not mention cap hight
This seems to me like is a completely different way of drafting sleeves which is simply measuring the dimension of the bicep height.
Héllo thank you so much for this tutorial can i ask you Would this sleeve with my measurement would fit any bodice made in my measurement …??
Yes. You may want to follow my bodice pattern tutorial though th-cam.com/video/jZu1p8EtXL4/w-d-xo.html
Thank you....you do a great job of making it simple for us.....:)))
This is the one that i am looking for .🙏🏻🙏🏻Thanks
Thanks you so much Dami for this training 👏
thank you for the video. finally i found the easiest way to make a sleeve pattern. ☺️
So sorry, but your rings are pretty!!! Congratulations ma.
LOVE THIS, THANKS A MILLION
Thank you, Dami. On my bodice, would you advice that I reduce my armholes by 2cm, for instance? So I can get a better fit. Cos my armhole is always tight in the armpit.
Hi. Decreasing would only make the armhole tighter in my opinion. I suggest you try increasing and see how it turns out. Best of luck.
@@Omna_100 thank you.
Wow thank you dearly
Thank you very much
How did you get 7 inches for the sleeve cap ?
Thank you so so much 🙏🏽
Amazing! Thank you so much!
We don’t need you to add seam allowance to your drafting, it’s perfect just the way you are doing it 😍 because everyone use different measurements for seam allowance e.g. quarter , half and one inch. I love your patterns, can you pleaseee do one for a female shirt🥺🥺🙏🙏🙏
When I drafted sleeves in the past and then try on the garment, I couldn’t raise my arm. This tutorial is very helpful and I’ll be able to raise my arms in my garment now😅 thank you 😊 🙏
Thank you
