This is one of the best videos I've found on how to make basic sloper blocks! I really appreciate that you explain what the measurements actually mean/translate to in the final garment, so I understand what I'm actually doing! Thank you!

I totally agree that this is definitely the best video for creating basic sloper blocks. I almost felt like I had to enroll in a college to understand the process. Many of these other videos make it too fast, don't explain what the lines mean, the purpose of each measurement, why darts, and why do they make so many cut outs to get to create a certain look on sleeves or necklines of a bodice..smh.. we thank you for details and i did subscribe

Followed these directions to a tee but added a 2" full bust adjustment for a dartless bodice as I am a DD cup. Made a 1/2 muslin. Only needed to adjust the neckline a bit. Sewed a full muslin and it's the best fitting t-shirt I've ever owned. Not too large at the upper bust, not too small through the full bust, and not a tent below the bust. I never thought I would be able to do this. Thank you, Alisa.

So interesting to hear that you needed to do a full bust adjustment. How did you do that?

I know this video is a couple of years old now, but I am just now using it. When trying to fit my sleeve cap to my armhole measurements, I made adjustments and drew, measured, and readjusted several times before finally getting frustrated with it. Then I cut strings to the measurements of my armholes and used those to find the right placement. Worked like a charm! Thanks so much for your drafting tutorials. I have been finding them extremely informative and helpful!

I can't wait to make this. I'm new to sewing and made a basic trouser block from another video. I ordered an online pants pattern that required blending sizes. Having the block pattern allowed me to tweek my project appropriately. That made me realize the power of having custom block patterns.

Thank you so much for this video!
I had a pattern I was working off of for a tee. After 6 muslins I STILL could not figure out why I could not get the armscye to fit correctly. I ran across your video and decided to start from scratch with you.
In going through this process I realized that #1) my upper bust line is not at the industry assumed halfway point (mine is lower) and that is why the armholes were too shallow, and #2) the measurement used at the midway point of the armhole (where you bring the curve in) needed to be adjusted. I have always had too much fabric in the front of the arm and not enough in the back. When I played around with how far in to put my little dot, and the depth of that curve, I was able to get it just right on the second try.
There is still one more problem to fix, but after so many failed attempts on my earlier pattern, I was despairing of ever being able to make decent tops. In going through this process with you I now have HOPE that I can actually sew some tops that fit me perfectly! You give such clear instructions and it was so helpful! Thank you!

Greetings from France. 🏆🏆🏆Wowwwzy you are PURRRRFECT. CONGRATULATIONS. You are a RARE PEARL. First things first. YOU ARE SOOOOOO HUMBLE, TALENTED, BEAUTIFUL, A GORGEOUS SMILE AND I JUST LOVE💗🥰💐💕 YOUR VOICE. Your hair is gorgeous. Your golden voice reminded me of a friend of mine who has the same voice and is an Opera Singer. Voilà a little about YOU. I was searching for crochet baby blanket videos and lo and behold this video POPPED IN FRONT OF MY EYES. Curiosity I watched and I got hooked, not to crochet but YOUR SEWING VIDEOS 🙃😅😂. You make sewing so EASY and so many tips on how to draft a pattern. Very well explained, in detail and EXCELLENT filming. Nothing fits me, either a barrel size or suffocating. Thanks a million for helping me to draft my own size and wear "respectable" looking clothes. I owe you "SEW" much gratitude for making my dreams come true. With my measurements I will be able to make my FIRST tee shirt but first by trying it on an old bed sheet. Thanks for sharing caring and making a 70 year old smile 🥰 .
I had 28 ABANDONED stray cats, injured and starving in my garden. I had my own 8 cats as well, the last one died this year 2021 at the age of 22 years. The strays were no longer homeless. They OWNED MY HOUSE. They lived with my Labrador and Newfoundland, both dogs left almost together in 2018 at the age of 15 years. I am reduced to only 6 cats and a 3 year Newfoundland. A big high from me. I love you. 💕💐🥰👍👍👍👍👍

As always your tutorials are so easy to follow and understand! One question I have is the alteration you made to the length for your armhole depth. Was it mainly due to the fact of the
stretch of the fabric to shorten this depth? I'm one of those people that need to understand what the reason is to make the changes...... Thank you for your wonderful videos. I have learned so much from them as I am finding making my own patterns so rewarding!

Hi, I tested out your instructions on my channel as I am running a t-shirt sewing challenge this month. I have to say for my first attempt it wasn't too bad at all. I have referenced your video in my mini series, so viewers can watch for themselves as your visuals are much better than mine. Self drafting is something I have always wanted to do but thought it would be far too complicated for me to master. After this experience I will definitely look into doing this more often in the future. Thanks so much for an excellent video 😊❤️
