After the successful run of C151B 685/686 here on 21 May and the two R151 on NSL, hopefully this train will survive the run on CGL today as a full day service without any replacement

What do you mean 'extra train' in this case?

They didn’t want to replace the original 101, since this train was slated to run 2 round trips prior to it’s withdrawal. Hence, an extra train (denoted 101) was slotted in so that there’s no need to spend time doing a replacement twice.
