Honestly.... picking up choreography quickly is one of Maddie's specialties. Not saying that it's not impressive but 1 hour for the 2 minutes of choreography probably isn't that crazy challenging for her. Obviously the technique and the precision is but I'm gonna guess she picked up the dance well within the hour
Maddie did very well, she is really growing into a beautiful dancer... More ballet clases will sure help. Overall she did great, I'm glad she is more focus on dancing than the other 100 things she is doing. You can tell she does a passion for dance and proves it with her actions not with words.
I really like this. No drama, no fake plots and acting. Just pure Maddie, as who she really is. It's honestly so much better then what we see on Dance moms. You see her as more of a person, rather than a competition, growing and leaving just like the rest of us.

Maddie will make the transition to adulthood well and have an amazing career as a popular public figure. Great Maddy! You learned that in an HOUR!? Abby was right, she DOES train you to be employable Dancers. The fact that you were able to pick that up that quick, AND look great doing it Wow. I am truly impressed. I mean, if you were in their same costume, other than the fact that you were shorter, I honestly wouldn't know at first glance who had JUST learned the routine. You go girl!
Honestly any dancer can tell you how flexible they have to be regarding dance. They need to be able to pick things up fast and use them. Maddie is a good dancer and you can tell because she has that.
I'm so proud on how successful Maddie is right now. Back when she was on dance moms, i ALWAYS knew she would be famous one day and now she's in movies, music videos, and on talkshows. So so so proud of her.
I really like this, it's not the typical snobby, bratty, thousand award winning Maddie we see on dance Moms. For the first time i feel like I got to relate to her personality a lot better than what I see on Dance Moms. I can tell she's growing up into a beautiful young lady and that's good. I wish Dance Moms would show more of this side of the kids instead of portraying them as characters
I feel like she really doesn't need to come back TBH and just work on her career without Abby. Abby holds back all the girls so much that it's sad. and the way the producers show them is just sad.
She did very well, but it's not a big deal for her! They taught her one minute and 11 seconds of a much longer dance. Professional dancers learn longer routines in much less time, and Maddie is on her way !

I'm not a dancer but I know that most competitive dance teams have one dance the entire season, whereas the aldc learns new dances every week or so and I think that although it must be incredibly stressful it's really prepared the girls for times like this or auditions where they learn the whole dance in a short amount of time and then perform it right after

I have to agree. She did a wonderful job and is a born performer. This is a taste of the real professional dance world. One that does not need acrobatics, tricks, and multiple fouettes.
Maddie is actually born to do this I’m a competitive dancer and learning a full dance in 1 HOUR and remembering it is crazyyy. As a competitive dancer it takes me like 2 days to learn a dance by heart😭😭😭 I hope I become like Maddie one day

Broadway dancers work really really hard and they are proud of what they do and they're happy with the their careers. Just be a little more careful choosing your words next time... :)
All the other dancers are rather petite too. I believe it's more so because she does ballet and lyrical dances more than they have done in recent years. And I know plenty of 25 year olds who remain petite.....
You do realize that the definition of prodigy is very subjective, lacking requirements outside of being someone who is young with an exceptional ability. In that sense there are many dance prodigies. Doesn't have to just be one or two
My baby is growing! MY Maddie is realizing her dreams! She is hardworking, learn fast, it's smart, it's super talented, it is a dance PRODIGY! She's perfect and I'm very happy for her and also very proud! I see in it an infinite passion for dancing and something more than to today I have not seen any dancer and not even think to go see! People may hate her, time may pass, other great dancers can show the dancers, but I ALWAYS'll keep finding and making sure it was the best dancer I met! All she does for me is perfect! I have to agree. She did a wonderful job and is a born performer. This is a taste of the real professional dance world. One that does not need acrobatics, tricks, and multiple fouettes.
Maddie is actually born to do this I’m a competitive dancer and learning a full dance in 1 HOUR and remembering it is crazyyy. As a competitive dancer it takes me like 2 days to learn a dance by heart😭😭😭 I hope I become like Maddie one day
She's truly a prodigy. She has dance in her toes, in her arms and in her soul. She was born to dance. Just look at how she, at just thirteen years old not only kept up, but did so well with seasoned professionals.

That is the whole thing IMHO there wasn't anything there that would have been at all difficult for Maddie, It's that she learned the whole routine within one hr.

+Cla Hills I know you probably didn't mean to be rude but you should probably not say things like "she's better than that". Broadway dancers work really really hard and they are proud of what they do and they're happy with the their careers. Just be a little more careful choosing your words next time... :)

It is probably because she does a lot of lyrical dancing.
All the other dancers are rather petite too. I believe it's more so because she does ballet and lyrical dances more than they have done in recent years. And I know plenty of 25 year olds who remain petite.....
No she's not even close to being a prodigy, Tate McRae, Sophia Lucia, Kayne Quinn, avery gay etc are prodigys
You do realize that the definition of prodigy is very subjective, lacking requirements outside of being someone who is young with an exceptional ability. In that sense there are many dance prodigies. Doesn't have to just be one or two

My baby is growing!
MY Maddie is realizing her dreams! She is hardworking, learn fast, it's smart, it's super talented, it is a dance PRODIGY! She's perfect and I'm very happy for her and also very proud! I see in it an infinite passion for dancing and something more than to today I have not seen any dancer and not even think to go see! People may hate her, time may pass, other great dancers can show the dancers, but I ALWAYS'll keep finding and making sure it was the best dancer I met! All she does for me is perfect! She was born to dance and people may even disagree with me, but for me it was, is and will ALWAYS WORLD'S BEST DANCER! Win or lose, I'm a fan of it to the end, even if I end up being the only fan of hers WORLDWIDE !!

+nielle 22 That's not too bad. She needs to do more things outside of dancing. Chloe needs to take Maddie's advice, and keep dancing because from what I've seen, Chloe is platueing. I get embarrassed every time I see her dance. Clearly, she's the worst dancer at Studio 19. 😄
