Joel's Uke Logic low tension, customized set is perfect on my mahogany concert. (The pinks.) I asked him to give me a slightly heavier A string, as well as a much lighter C string to balance out the tone and now it's just perfect. It sings. Mahalo, Joel.

Been using worth clear strings on my ukes for years, but wanted to try something different on a new uke I'm about to buy from you guys. I'm sold on the high tension ones, thanks for videos like these!
Good stuff as usual. I especially appreciate the cedar top instrument as your baseline for the comparison as that wood in and of itself is LOUD! I have a cedar top (rosewood sides) and an all koa tenor each of which have a tremendously different sound regardless of string brands/types. With my cedar top the job has been to quiet it down. I've been able to do this well with Worth strings which coincidentally (?) are also made in Japan. As soon as the Worths lose their sound I'll definitely try out some of Joel's strings. Mahalo!
Joel hits it out of the park! Brudah found some strings that are amazing on my KoAloha tenor and Martin tenor. The tight set seem more towards the technical players like Corey and Kalei, super accurate
Would you guys define the tension differences a bit more? How is the tension of the soft and hard compared to Martin M600s? I’m planning on purchasing a set for an old Martin Style 0, but I worry about the hard tension.

‘“Go to” set recommended for my Pono AB? I have Living Waters I’m my AT and like them but they’re getting tired and need changing soon as well and I like ‘experimenting with strings.

Who makes the wound low G? I'd like to experiment with replacing the C with a wound string from the same manufacturer. Possibly try some different diameters as well.
Yeah, I'll work on that. We have it connected to our shipping accounts and it's an automated thing, but it ends up being less and we do credit people back the difference every time. We aren't trying to make money on shipping.
@@cottonuke Yes. And Kamaka in general can handle high tension strings. They're built solid and if they're cared for properly it's no problem but the extra tension on your fingers. It is a fat sound.
