Wonderful! What I really love about Anuenue is that they're so inventive with the tonewoods they choose, and that they don't shy away from leaving the beaten track. I own a Black Whale (yay!), and am finding it just magical. But listening to the other high-end models above, it's a bliss how they each have their own unique character while all being superb instruments (like great wines, haha :)
best gift so far!.. cruising with the HMS podcast gentlemen into Christmas.! happy holidays and thanks for all you've shared with us. now go rest, ye merry gents!! 🎄😌🙏🏼
It's just turned Boxing Day in the UK so I can now enjoy listening to your beautifult podcast and what a treat it is! Mahalo & wishing you all a wonderful Christmas & I can't wait for 2025 to hear what you will bring to us, your devited viewers, God bless you all.
I see that the “Whale Tenors” are “Kyas Signature” models. They are very cool and beautiful instruments. Admittedly, I had not been aware of Kyas as a player until I had signed up for the Brown County (Indiana) Ukulele Festival, which is this coming January, where he will be an instructor. I look forward to it. I am continually appreciative of the new adventures I have found along the ukulele path (which I started on in 2020, after many years as a guitar player, as an instrument to play for my Mom as she was traveling the final part of the Alzheimer’s journey - so, my love of ukulele is kind of a final gift she left me, . . . one I will always be thankful for). I always find new cool stuff in the TUS podcasts, like the “Kyas connection” here to some of your featured instruments. Thank you.
Just purchased my UT330 Blue Moon Bird at the flagship store in Taipei while there with family for holiday vacation! It was my wife’s Christmas gift to me from her! It’s by far the nicest one in my collection! On par with some other models that cost more. The sound is amazing!!! Being able to play both moon bird models in person in the store and I didn’t even hesitate when deciding on the UT330 Blue Moon!
Wow, the koa on the I’iwi Johansen tenor is stunning, and on top, truly beautiful inlay. Again, wow! And a beautiful “whole” resonant sound. Excellent.
Thank you Andrew, Kalei and Corey for a wonderful showcase for the festive season. May you have a wonderful break, you guys deserve it. All the best to you, your staff and families and a prosperous New Year. Loved the aNueNue tenor run through, a bird for every season. The Johansen’s are sheer master Luthier instruments that deserved to be played expertly. Have a great day
@HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS Thank you for the wonderful Christmas treat! I agree with Corey about trying the Blue Moon strings on the UT200. I got a few sets of Blue Moon and Green Planet strings from aNueNue Taiwan, and have tried both sets on the UT200 Humming Bird. The Green Planet is too warn to my ears, but the Blue Moon strings make the UT200 HB sing! And makes it sound comparable to the UT330. The Green Planet strings sound really good on my UT1K-where the stock Black Water strings sound too bright. The Blue Moon strings also bring out the volume on the UT3K compared to the stock Black Water strings. The Blue Moon strings make the UT3K noticeably louder without having to dig into the strings, too. Bonus is that the Blue Moon strings don't feel thin compared to the Black Water.
Been eye-ing at a chance to get that evasive Hummingbird as I love the Moonbird sound with some extra bells and whistles on the looks dept.... but that Bluebird though seems I'm being swayed to it 😍

Christmas in the islands is the best. Merry Christmas and thanks for another year of amazing uke content.

Awesome stuff guys. Merry Christmas.
Thank for comparing the different aNueNue ukuleles. I have one black wale and I love it. Merry Christmas.
Wow! Wear headphones to really hear the differences between all the aNueNues. Cedar Rosewood combos are my faves. Thank you.
Get a studio pair of headphones and turn off audio stabilizer. Let er fly

Merry Christmas
Oh boy! I loved that Greensleeves, and everything else of course. I want to play like either of you 😅
Will you be getting the aNueNue blue strings in?
Sounds like a limited string so my guess is they will not get them? Logic strings they have some pink ones that are just as cool
