- Sheldon runs into a fellow child genius Paige while attending a lecture at the Natural Science Museum. While waiting for Sheldon, George Sr. happily spends some alone time at a diner, when Paige’s mom interrupts and breaks into tears about her relationship issues. When Meemaw holds a garage sale, Mary has a hard time letting go of her father’s belongings.

Paige does seem to be genuinely really happy to see Sheldon. He's the one person she knows who is almost as smart as she is - and - she likes beating him at things.
One of Paige's problems - is that she really likes being smarter than every one else and - that may be one of the reasons she doesn't have any friends. The thing is - she wants to have friends and Sheldon doesn't care as much whether he does or not.

A guy who worked in our service department at a former job was like that. Thought he was the smartest guy in every room and needed everyone to agree on that yet couldn't seem to grasp why he had few if any friends. He was actually about seven percent as smart as either Sheldon or Paige. I suspect he was also the second most successful partner in his marriage by all accounts.

i feel Leslie Winkle & Emily in Big Bang Theory, and Paige in Young Sheldon were the most amazing additions to the series. Its sad that these characters weren't shown to their potential 💐

Living in a relatively poor Asian country & seeing this American family having all that food, the house, the clothes, the furniture, the electricity & water is just a dream. In my country, if a man works as a school coach, he'll be lucky to have a slum 1 room apartment with barely enough food to feed his family
I know this doesn't help, but I'd give up some things if I could be closer to my family. My family isn't close to each other. A lot of bad things happened over the years and everyone drifted apart. I hope things improve in your country. If you learn accounting, I.T., or something like that you could also do a job remotely from another country.
Don't lose hope and I know this may sound naive but don't give up on doing the things that you love. Develop your talent and passions, you'll reach the stars someday.

Then study to become a civil or electrical engineer to improve the living standards for everyone in your country. America reached the heights that it did by simply being one of first to industrialze. Also remember it's about quality of life not status or money. Raise the quality of life for average person and you will attract both without having to pursue either. America 🇺🇸 is also a culture that celebrates athletic achievement and sports so coaches get paid more here relativity speaking.
@@Not-Ap lmao, civil engineers' starting salary where I live is around 400$ to 500$ a month and that's me being generous. Don't know about electrical engineers, probably around 600$. We have a padrino system if you know what that means.

I hate the Big Bang Theory, but this show is one of the best since the Wonder Years.
I would love to follow Paige's story as she grows up. She is so adorable now and we know she will grow up to be quite beautiful. How does a genius like her, who needs to be liked (have friends, be loved?) react when normal teenage boys start trying to talk her into things?
Her life is a mess, I feel bad for the circumstances given the grief and sudden changes that happened to make her life go into a downward spiral.
She’s spiralling because of a bad home life (her parents are divorced and she knows it’s partially because they argue over her) and resents being smarter than everyone else because of how much it isolates her
Oh we see that. She is an accomplice to grand theft auto, suggests making a beeline to Florida to Missy, and intecepted by Sheldon and Missy while she is drunk at a college frat party while she is fourteen and leaving the party with a college man.
That's after she drops out of college and is left homeless and begging to move into Sheldon's dorm room.
She is on the way to a LOT of trouble, and would be far better off had she remained within the orbit of Sheldon's self discipline.

Sheldon and his dad are very similar but in very different ways. for example Sheldon is an introvert who likes to be alone and read books, George, on the other hand is a mix of the introvert and an extrovert, he takes his alone time without his kids, or his wife very valuable. He can drink with his friends if he’s in the mood, but I have a feeling he’d rather drink alone and watch football most of the time.
