    So apparently Lokhir is missing from the end of the video. No clue why since he is in the original file on my computer, but YT isnt taking that part of the edited video for some reason. If people want I can do a short separate video with his start.
    But basically he is all about using black arks to build and support his army. Once you conquer your starting area move south and finish off the vampire counts there. Then go northward and finish off clan eshin and the dragon lady. At which point you can either continue to conquer Cathay or just sail away from the sea route to the south of your start and go invade Lustria.

      Thanks for this! Piracy is fun but I've found him difficult to use. What would you say is the best way to spec him? Is it better to try to colonize the whole coastline and sack or raze everything inland?
      I keep running into financial issues while struggling to juggle all the enemies to the south - eshin, the orcs, the counts all at once is a bit tough early on.
      Also do you recommend making black arks immediately for the long term growth head start or should you just stick with the one until midgame? Is it better to focus on black arks as your military recruitment centers and turn bases you keep into purely economic centers, or is it more important to use them for utility until they're able to make hydras/etc?
      Sorry for the flood of questions! Lokhir is the coolest dark elf design and black arks are my favorite dark elf mechanic but I feel like I'm using them wrong LMAO

    Personally, I like Malekith's lord trait. It makes for better and more stabile early economy(cost reduction to buildings, not recruitment, and more control) and also allows for easier conquest in new regions(enemy routes faster, so battles are won faster, looting and occupying the settlement for replenishment, gold and slaves, then quickly rebuilding it is very effective).
    Basically, "tear it down and build it stronger".
    Also, for red line skills. I have begun(for most factions in fact) to only invest 2 points, but instead pick 3 categories. For instance, 2 points into Linebreaker gives a +4 to MA and MD for a lot of your infantry(including Dark Shards and Corsairs), 2 points in Sheafmaster gives you +12% to ammo and I think +6% to reload times, then 2 points into Slaughterlord(or a different specialization) to give some buffs to your elite infantry(again, a +4/+4 to MA/MD).
    That 2nd point usually adds an entire new benefit(for example, from just +4 MA to +4 MA and MD), while the 3rd point only slightly increases both values.
    This allows you a more diverse army, while still getting great value for your skill points.

    • @LordForwind

    for those interested: if you play any of their campaigns you can save the black ark lords to your saved character pool and get them in any other DE campaigns without doing any rite/occupying major port, it's pretty OP. Their buildings will be reset, but their level/skill remains (lower level are cheaper to recruit), and if they had a name of power already, they will get another one which is a pretty funny bug. if you want to build a pool, Lohkir is the best choice for a first campaign, as it's very easy to get a bunch of them by just going around and occupying ports as opposed to doing rites

      Higher tier units are super important in TW3, tier 1-3 are mostly useless after turn 30-50. Also it depends on who you are losing to, Chaos Warrior factions are really tough early game and you need 2 armies to equal one of theirs sometimes.

    Malekeith is my favourite. XD But jokes aside I have to say as a long time Dark elf player everyone always stresses out over loyalty but it's rarely ever a problem as long as you give your lords equipment, units and keep aggressively winning battles. I tend to not even really think about it, also a note on Murderous mastery it's not just your units that cause it to build, also their deaths.... some interesting takes on units. Personally I think Shades are one of the best units in the whole game , and I honestly think the scourgerunner is still better than the cold one chariot, purely because of the speed. I'd also rather use Doomfire warlocks than any other calvary, just don't think cold ones are that good, again due to speed and rampage is a horrible ability. Fire sorceress is good against low armor factions, and you don't care about calvary because your shades shred anything that comes especially if you have another unit to intercept them.

    • @LordForwind
      @LordForwind  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah honestly loyalty should be made a bit harder to deal with. Doomfires are fun to use and the only reason I would take the shielded crossbows over the shades is for anti-ranged advantage like against high elves.
