In my life I can't remember a season like this one where a player had to endure so many difficulties, while carrying such a heavy weight on their shoulder, and at the age of 22 yrs young too. I question myself, could I have done the same things at the same age. If I am being honest with myself, no. Her achievements exceeded expectations, her enthusiasm for basketball was contagious, her drive to succeed was admirable. At the age of 8, she was asked what she wanted to do when she grew up. She wrote down 'I want to play in the WNBA!'. Her parents can show you the prove of this declaration. She put in the work and accomplished her dream. This is not the time to scrutinize her under a microscope, but to continue to support her. I think her destiny will transcend basketball. Let's back her up and see what happens. A young adult of her character should never be squelched. Think about that people.
She is amazing. Had trash constantly thrown at her. Always positive about others. Even though others stunk of jealousy and went after her. She is the most fun to player to watch in the W, her combination of skillsets is so rare, she's a true inspiration.

@@tmfhale6183 Time Magazine had their own Agenda and tried to cause Chaos. They did. Unless I see the Audio Video Interview of the written article, I know what Writers do to put words in their mouths.
The women are lucky to have her as the face of women's basketball and even women's sports right now. She's articulate, humble while still confident, smart, understands the assignment (tries to sign every autograph), and has the ability and discipline to handle the scrutiny. Lastly, she's just relatable to a lot of people and not because she's white but because of how she plays and even the lack of ego in the tone she uses when she gives interviews. Maria is a great interviewer too.
I'm happy they released this. Because so many people in social media are criticizing her for misunderstanding what she said in the article. And good thing she does not pay attention to the negativity and hate. Just do what you love CC. To get so many accolades in your first year in the WNBA is crazy! Looking forward to next season. 🔥🔥🔥
Whoever wrote the article had an agenda,to harm Clarks brand, she came across obnoxious in that article ,they had to make the video for damage control interview t
The best way for Catilin Clark to uplift and empower everyone, is to continue to be a class act that can Ball Out and set records!!! Her actions are her platform, not what she says in front of a camera. She needs to continue to keep the answers, to questions, very basic and keep it moving. Please don't be a voicebox, be a playmaker!!!! That will uplift everyone . . . even the league that won't uplift her.
Just an incredible interview. Caitlin is definitely wise beyond her years and is built for the moment she is in. With her fire and poise, cannot wait to see what she will do in her second year!
13:00 - MJ23 has said practically the exact same thing about playing all 82 games while needing to tape his knees, or being banged up…he knew regular people paid a lot of money to maybe be able to see him once or just once a season. However, he has been known to be rude to fans IRL when he doesn’t get enough privacy. I’m certain CC22 will never intentionally be rude to any fans who want to meet her.
... no one person has had greater wide-ranging-impact on their sport than Clark ... in the span of just one season, she's dragged women's basketball (kicking-screaming) out from decades of obscurity ... there's no telling how many new eyes will be on the WNBA (& other women's-leagues) bc of her prowess-impact ... how she does it w-seemingly such intelligence-grace-ease is remarkable beyond platitudes ... women's basketball has now changed forever, caused by this 22yo wonder woman knowing-having no limits
True, most fans are upset. It's her talent not because of color. Its my 1st time to watch wnba in my life. i wake up here in saudi arabia at 1am just to watch her rookie season. i stop watching NBA 2020 when lebron starts flopping. 🤣
@@joshpaul5335 of course she said the article was great. You think that on this platform she’s going to trash her own article. Everyone who is spewing distaste for CC is too righteous. I’m a self made white man earned everything I have in my life with no help and plenty adversity. I didn’t like the privilege statement but I’m not her, I have walked in her shoes or wnba player shoes. Prior to this video interview I I still held CC in high regard on and off the court. This video to me certainly gave a much better image of her perspective on that controversial subject than the article. In video better than written word as nobody can twist your words. Even if she said here what she said in her article is still respect her. She is a humanitarian, leads by example with passion, kindness and intelligence. Beyond that I just love watching her play basketball. Keep that head high CC you make millions happy if a few hundred thousand have issue with it that’s their issue not yours.

No matter what CC says some will spin it to further advance their agenda. She has never professed to be political. Caitlin is an athlete. A basketball player. Why does she need to be any more than that?
She doesn't, and she shouldn't, but she should be careful not to get sucked into it. For example, there have been a lot of white women who built the WNBA, too.
She doesn’t need to.. but they keep asking her constantly.. cuz the ppl that are complaining about it now were the same ppl who have been abusing players that they are racists and thugs.. they’ve created the problem themselves..
Unfortunate a lot of her “fans” are clinging to her coattails to push their culture war agenda. They proudly state that they like her because she’s white and “straight” in a league full of black women and lesbians. She’s been trying to tell them she’s on the side of black women of lesbians and she ain’t the right wing huckleberry so many think she is. Basketball has always been tied with social justice efforts. Like it or not, she isn’t a basketball robot. She cares about other stuff too.
@@carolowen7678 it amazes me how people like you say this when she is the one that brought up politics 😂😂 you glazers are gaslighting just as much as she does. She also said she doesn't like when her fans made a big fuss about DC poking her in the eye. She also threw Brennan under the bus and said she agrees with the wnbapu about pulling her credentials. Her agreeing that a reporter shouldnt have the right to ask Carrington if she poked her in the eye on purpose is something that should scare people. That article let you into her mind a little and you can see the Marxist residue all over it. I choose not to ignore red flags, but yall can continue to glaze to the ends of the earth 🤢🤮
Recognizing your privileges and apologizing for them are two different things. She didn’t apologize nor did she bow to “the woke mob” (as some people are trying to say). However she plays in a sport that is predominantly black and/or gay, and a lot of those people are her best friends and close friends. She absolutely should support their struggles. For the last decade the WNBA has been the target for a lot of hate and the butt of many jokes, if Caitlin can help be a champion for the league she should. Even if a few players or a few people in media hate on her.
Cap🤦🏿♂️, she does NOT have to do anything but play ball🤷🏿♂️. What struggles they have🤔, all you people doing is making us black folks look WEAK. If you need more uplifting then you ain't got that WOW factor to get your so called fans in the seats and so called fans supporting said players. Y'all need to stop this crap, and she deep bend the knee to bitter players and guess what it was only a hand full that was being BITTER,PLAYING DIRTY and GUESS WHAT they was doin Sabrina like that too🤦🏿♂️. All these lame bitter woke players need to be like N Collier because I have yet to hear or see her acting out like Reese, A'JA, and Carter acted like she acted because of ear talk from her team(Reese be in ng th main one). So you folks acting like she has to acknowledge black players and uplift them.........NEED TO 🤫 AND GO WASH DISHES OR SOMETHING✌🏿
@@TofuNthaVert Agree. It all makes it seem like blk female players have no agency and need young white girls barely out of their teenage years to uplift them. And unfortunately, players like Wilson have assented to that notion. Kipling would agree with the notion of uplifting.
She absolutely bent the knee and also threw everyone under the bus that fought the narrative that she and her fans were racists. She also threw Brennan under the bus not wanting reporters to ask questions to other player. She also did like when people were saying that Carrington poked her in the eye on purpose. So she is gaslighting everyone saying we didn't see what we Seen with our own eyes. Also she can support her friends and team mates anytime. She doesn't have to put quotes in a magazine saying she has privilege and that she has to uplift certain people. Those people should want to uplift themselves
And people not standing for something is the reason this country is in the place it's at right now. Just a tad bit disappointed. I know she could do not wrong in some of these fans eyes. I'm not one of those fans. Now we wait and see because the woke mob will double down. They smell blood

Especially when other Black players from this rookie season are also making more money and are more popular than players from the past. Explain it to me like I am a 3 year old. Really want to understand that statement from the article.

@@Sticks2mini2rsmost people that play tuff against her are also fans of her wouldn’t play that hard against her if they didn’t think she was good they just don’t want to her embarrassed by her can’t blame them
Excellent interview. Loved the questions...and of course, love the humble and real way Caitlin answers everything thrown at her. Along with her incredible talent on the court, people can sense this is a genuine, smart, and deeply good human being. So easy to love and admire. ♥
The best thing about how this is going for Caitlin is her accomplishments made this moment undeniable. The projections on all sides people had I thought was disingenuous and wasn’t coming from a good place. This was a way to finish the year strong and shut whatever people felt or thought down.
Congratulations CC for a phenomenal rookie year! Your parents must be so proud & grateful to have such an amazing daughter! Thank you for your passion, dedication, hard work good sportsmanship, generosity, humble spirit & the wonderful example for young girls(& us old ones too) all over the world!❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥💯💯💯💯💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🎊🎉🎈 Blessings to you all🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥
Caitlin you’re a phenomenal player. You’re 1 of a kind no one can’t beat you. You’re so wise beyond your youth. We need to support women of all races you changed the world Caitlin my lord everyone knows you. Sometimes I feel like telling your hater to shut their mouth because they don’t live your life you’re a rock star of the WNBA and that’s saying a lot. I’m glad you can block out the noise you have too we the fans don’t like bullies who hurt you in anyway. You’re gonna be 23 in January so happy birthday from a loyal fan who loves to watch you play basketball. ⛹️♀️☺️💐
How can you not love her! She is special! Well Done Caitlin!
Fan from Singapore!!! Let's go CC!
Brilliant interview! I enjoyed every minute of it, congratulations to Caitlin for winning. She deserved it 👏🏾
No, she didn't deserve it. Nobody watches the WNBA or cares about that league.
CC is just lovely. Grace through transition and transformation. Amazing year!
I loved the answer when asked about "white privilege"- " I earned and deserve everything I got". And honor those who came before. Can't get any better.
Clown. She is just another liberal. Bet she pegs her boyfriend.
Wow! she looks fantastic. Congrats to her and her parents. what a great example of professionalism at such a young age.
CONGRATS CC22🎉🎉 fan here 🇵🇭Philippines mabuhay👏
Caitlin is Such a Hard worker and Bball Mind! Very fun to watch her game, which is up tempo and dime passes, including Bomb Logo 3's consistently! What we have to Remember out of all of this is Caitlin is Transcendent.
Caitlin Clark: "WORLD"🌍 ATHLETE OF THE YEAR!!!❤❤😊😊
I just don't understand how anyone can hate her! She has worked so hard, incredible talent and loves lifting up others. I can't wait to watch your journey Caitlin! ❤
@@tmfhale6183 Time Magazine had their own Agenda and tried to cause Chaos. They did. Unless I see the Audio Video Interview of the written article, I know what Writers do to put words in their mouths.
Plenty of reasons
I liked her but then I realized my white privilege was distorting my opinion. Now I’m a die hard Aja Wilson fan. Go Aja!!
@@alexhoffee1865 please tell me this is satire
@@alexhoffee1865 cool?
What a great ambassador she is! She is honest and truthful to herself and everyone else. Great role model! 👏 👏 👏
She makes me proud to be a WNBA fan.
Such an amazing person!! So happy for her!!
The moment women talk politics, they become extremely unlikable. Clark did it to herself, don’t blame the article writer.
This young woman is clearly very intelligent. Such poise at 22 years of age.
I’m certain CC22 will never intentionally be rude to any fans who want to meet her.
... no one person has had greater wide-ranging-impact on their sport than Clark
... in the span of just one season, she's dragged women's basketball (kicking-screaming) out from decades of obscurity
... there's no telling how many new eyes will be on the WNBA (& other women's-leagues) bc of her prowess-impact
... how she does it w-seemingly such intelligence-grace-ease is remarkable beyond platitudes
... women's basketball has now changed forever, caused by this 22yo wonder woman knowing-having no limits
Congratulations CC22! Huge fan from Singapore 🇸🇬
fr the Philippines..yes , CC!!❤❤❤
Congratulations CC. Always a fan.
Excellent interview!Love her
What's not to love about this incredible and inspirational human being ❤
Deserved Caitlin.from Philippines
That article was horrible, now CC has clarified stuff, she said she earned all she has because of her hardwork,
True, most fans are upset. It's her talent not because of color. Its my 1st time to watch wnba in my life. i wake up here in saudi arabia at 1am just to watch her rookie season. i stop watching NBA 2020 when lebron starts flopping. 🤣
Clearly whoever wrote it twisted or misinterpreted what she said, which isn’t surprising. It’s Time.
CC said the "article was great" in this interview. Not sure what you think she clarified.
YEEESSSS!!!! I came here for the white tears hahahah
CC gave credit where credit was due.
According to MAGA logic CC is a DEI hire. Y'all logic not mine
Congrats Caitlin! Caitlin is a global star ! Accept your blessings. Well deserved!
CC 22 is Megastar 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
every time i see caitlin clark it reminds of the video of caitlin almost getting a hole in one and she runs around in a circle screaming like a little girl 😂😂 but you realize she is just a normal person who expresses her emotions and that’s why people love her and root for her
That was fun to watch.
She is a strong woman! Wnba is better then nba because of her. We love watching you CC!
@@closequarters4575 what mythical privileges are you talking about?.
And people not standing for something is the reason this country is in the place it's at right now. Just a tad bit disappointed. I know she could do not wrong in some of these fans eyes. I'm not one of those fans. Now we wait and see because the woke mob will double down. They smell blood
I am Ugandan, and now following Fever because of CC. Actually, I stayed up until 3AM to watch a US college basketball for the first time ever because of her. Only ever do it for the Celtics.
So, with all the other white players that have been in WNBA, winning MVPs and titles, why is it Caitlin Clark that is privileged? Especially when other Black players from this rookie season are also making more money and are more popular than players from the past.
Explain it to me like I am a 3 year old. Really want to understand that statement from the article.
Caitlin Clark is what makes me want a daughter now instead of a son. Knowing I can raise a little girl with role models I believe in.
🌽
Congratulations Caitlin from Saudi Arabia
Well deserved! Grace, beauty, talent and humble spirit. One in a million and can’t wait to see her impact in basketball and life over the next several years ❤️🏀
SHE DESERVES EVERY ACCOLADE SHE GETS. SHE STILL HAS IMPROVEMENTS TO MAKE IN HER BASKETBALL GAME.
I support everything this amazing woman does. Go Fever❤💛
SO GLAD she is the face of the WNBA. We are in good hands!
You're amazingly well spoken. Your allyship on and off the court is great too. Hopefully it'll bring more talent to your teams as other players realize that they'll eat well on a Caitlin Clark team.
Wow I have so much respect for her. I’m a fan of her game but her as a person is more impressive.
Will never not root for her. What a legend! 🐐
Geno is so right, there are levels to this stuff.😘
and top 100 most powerful woman. Geno will explode. 🤣
He is so wrong.
Caitlin is a great human being that a lot of people could learn from, Maria Taylor did an amazing job interviewing her...I only wish Time had 100% done this for the all the right reason and not used her to push the woke agenda.
She has looked great on and off the court I am such a huge fan of her and not only as a player but only as a person I watched her play she is maybe the greatest female player all of time she is a role model to them but to me
Check her guns, looks good on her. Shes added some solid weight. Shes gonna be unstoppable next season
What an excellent interview. Caitlin and the hostess were great examples for all of us as we navigate our way through our “‘new society”.
"new society?"
Congratulations @CaitlinClark! Well deserved. Pls keep advocating for women’s sports! May your career continue to grow and flourish. Go Fever!
Great interview! It really helped clarify somethings in the Times article. Thank you 🙏🏼😊
Caitlin is the best. She deserves all the recognition 👏👏😃👍
Well this cleared things up on what was said in that dumb article in the Magazine. Things are more clearer said on video or audio than on page. Caitlin you're Awesome.
@@hihellothere100 It was pretty clear what she said in the article, she doubled down.
Yea she said "everything I achieved I earned" that's all u need to hear.
From white privilege she said
She says she's privilege she gave in to the woke mob little by little she will be full blown woke just watch
A great interview with solid meaningful questions answered with honesty and humility. As for what she thinks about in between baskets well, I have closely followed many top athletes and what they do is focus on how to be better. Taking the best moves from the best plays and making those things their own. Caitlin does this so well and that is why I enjoy watching her games over and over. Such a sweet lady!
I got 1 problem on this interview..her dress she was not comfortable
Agree 100%
Her emotion on the court is " charismatic" I think that puts her over the top
To all her fans , don’t you see she deserve your ❤
Knowing what little I know about CC ,I have a strong feeling that she was not entirely comfortable in her garb .I think she would have prefered a more casual attire .I also know they wanted to gussy her up for Dog and Pony show.
@@Crosley3251 Prada dressed her for both the Draft and this Time event. Prada got put down for putting Caitlin in a big baggy suitcoat for the draft when the others were in beautiful dresses... they seemed to kind of go extreme low cut and she covered herself during interview with her arms and the mike... she is 22 experimenting with style and looked beautiful.
All respect to the interviewer, she is well spoken and educated. 💯
Exactly she wasn't racist or bias towards CC
