One of the things I like about C# is that she looks at how she impacted on decisions not the noise outside. I think in the end as she says it was the best thing for her. However the 12 they chose were not the 12 best and the point guard was recovering from injury.

I believe Caitlin was not being truthful about the targeting, hate, jealousy, and claims of white privilege. She doesn’t want to make it worse, but she looks weak and silly in my opinion and counter to her fanbase’s beliefs. Just know, that her support was earned, not privileged!
People need to take a breath when it comes to Caitlin. She always talks positive. She gives people benefit of the doubt. She never wants to talk about any “crap” and only about basketball, what to improve on, what will make her better. Most basketball fans didn’t like the “privilege” statement, including myself. This lady has worked and continues to work her butt off. Would rather of heard her say something like that, but she is young and has a HUGE spotlight on her. No one will ever say something everyone likes 100 percent of the time! Besides, it’s her style of basketball that speaks the loudest and that is what most people cannot wait for!
when I defended her for years that she earned her spot not because of some '''privilege" but because of skill and commitment. Now she's saying that those people were right, and her white privilege got her where she is, and that leaves me as a racist by her logic. How can I continue to support someone that calls me racist. When she said she benefitted from privilege, she is saying Iowa is a racist culture. IT'S NOT!!!!!!
@@MrSoulauctioneer Maybe the privilege statement she made is being taken out of context of what she means by it. I can think of her saying that she gets $$$, gifts, etc because she plays great basketball compared to somebody who doesn't and that is a privilege and that it had nothing to do with her skin color.
What did you expect Caitlin Clark to say. I believe he's been targeted. And no, she's not gonna admit that publicly but we all know what's going on. She doesn't want it be awkward so I get it. But I think she'll get tougher and tougher. Before she joined the WNBA, a big name TH-camr said Caitlin Clark was going to face it in the WNBA and I didn't believe it. I saw her get pushed for no reason and I was like mm🤔🤔 apparently what that person said was true?
should have just said, I don't think about such things. She could have said she doubts it. But she just insulted all her fans intelligence and basically agreed with the league that they're racist. Which is ironic since most of them are black men and little girls. God help this country.
Why is it “targeted” when it’s CC but when it’s men it’s just considered “welcome to the league”. She has handled this in a very class way. I think she is made for this because she truly understands we just need to update these misinformed fans of how this works
She knows that it's not in her best interest to be a cry baby like the players who targeted her She's smart And it's a biblical principal to turn the other check I'm just glad she didn't lose her eye 👁️
Did you just call her smart? She literally is gonna go down as the dumbest athlete in history. smart would have been refusing to answer the question. Not literally repeating the league rhetoric. It's so stupid its shocking that she threw all her fans under the bus.
@@cooloutac My guess is she trusted the wrong people, likely her agent gave her more bad advice. I doubt seriously she will be know as the dumbest athlete in history.
@Willard-l7t she went from america's hero to america's zero, instantly. She thought bending the need to the league will get them to like her. But we all know society, and especially bullies themselves, will never respect that cowardice. Even the dress made her look used and abused. It's sad and infuriating at the same time. she got played.
Wow! Do you really buy into all the denial? Chennedy/Reese episode, Carrington, all the flagrant fouls plus all the contact/no call fouls? How can cc deny and everybody else buy it? Millions of fans are not blind and stupid!
Exactly. She just insulted all her fans, intelligence and called them racist. Bowed to the league and threw all her fans that defended her all year right under the bus. See, you went from america's hero to america's zero and and now her legacy is is being the dumbest athlete and history. She just threw it all away.
Caitlin gotta know that everyone s never going the like her no matter what. At 22 yrs you really haven’t lived long enough to see a lot of what the rest of us have seen but she will learn as she goes, that why you have, friends, family and fans who love you for who you are, good, bad it indifferent. There’s no pleasing victim hood mentality people at all.
I enjoyed the interview. I don’t believe she’ll ever truly get a fair shake from the media. A 22 year old fabulous ball player with an exceptional presence.
it is not working for you. That is ok, most people just like to watch good basketball because that is what the game is it is not called are you red or blue? Is it?
been called racist simply for supporting her for the last few years. I grew up in Des Moines, never saw white privilege, saw a lot of green privilege. same green privilege Aja Wilson grew up with. CC's white privilege can't even compare to the green privilege her and Aja shared growing up. She's going to lose fans and support.
She's a true competitor, she wants to earn her place on the team - just as she has earned everything else prior to that point. She was good enough to make the Olympic team...just didn't have full chemistry with her team because of the schedule issues you mentioned. She had also already won 3 Team USA Gold Medals prior to joining the WNBA, so she had international game play experience and had great success within that system.
She refused to play victim. She lets the play to speak for her. She is tough enough to play on a physical league and can hold herself. That is the competitiveness and self confidence she has. And it’s more rewarding that she proves them wrong 👑
I agree with you, team USA's decision is a lose lose, wasted opportunity decision. I hope she stays away from politics, issues etc. and just focus on her game.
Listen ppl what good will it do her to say o ya they were targeting me is that going to help her i dont think so just play basketball and get over it thats what her parents taught her and you ppl are just as bad cause you want to continue the drama let it go its over
Thankfully she doesn't have to say it, Kelsey Plum already said it when you're a little white girl coming into a league made up by of 85% black girls that want to take your head off it's real.
The ALPHA on Hoops talk. simply the best. When tiny small talk doesn't cut it, Rachel is big at engaging me in everything I need to know, great insight. ❤
I think the WNBA should be grateful Caitlin is nice. Because the wrong person with her following could have easily used headlines against the league considering all the funny decisions they've made. Olympics being a big one. She should have been on that roster but I'm glad she wasn't because lots of then didn't like her anyways.
The Olympic committee is a pile 'o carp. I personally don't care if CC was chosen to be on the team or not. So much so, that I'm not even going to bother watching this episode. What I do care about is having repeat players over and over again. The Olympics are every four years and it is shameful that other players are not granted the opportunity to play in the Olympic games.
CC comes off as an enabler. She might have come out of it fi e, but the next player they try that same behavior could cost a player their career due injury.
On the eyepoke. My main sport I follow is Mixed Martial Arts. There are many eyepokes that happen. Having seen a lot of eyepokes I would absolutely concur that it was not accidental and was done purposefully. I am glad that Caitlin is big enough to choose to believe it was not. I am not that person. It also is not about trying to protect a woman. It is about calling out someone who, with intent, tried to harm another person. Luckily, nothing happened that was in the end harmful, but I find it naive on the WNBA's part not to take a hard and difficult look at it.
Hi Rachel thank you so much for breaking down the narratives on CC's interview. She is just such a class act, on and off the court. I think it boils down to how she was brought up in a Catholic family environment. For a 22 year old, her answers to some pointed questions are just so mature and professional. playing basketball in college I always tend to kinda want to take revenge on somebody who body checks me. Caitlin never ever blamed any other player despite being harassed bith ohysically and nentally starting with that Anger Reese's taunting her. Looking forward to 11 more vids . Thanks again and Merry Christmas gorgeous❤
It's literally astonishing. How ignorant our young adults are. It's truly sad hearing these excuses for others actions. Wow. I expect the honeymoon with CC is over.
@@jameshendley1975Judging by the numbers of negative comments I saw in lots of channel's comment sections I would say 15% to 20% are done. 10% are undecided or ambivalent 70% are Caitlin, right or wrong I'm a fan. She took a hit, but it's not the end of the world, or sold out arenas.
Only fake fans, haters and trolls will downgrade CC. Her achievements are very clear . Just this mere statement will not reduce her popularity. Just keep on hating trolls and fake fans, Caitlin Clark is soaring high no matter what😊😊😊
I have had the displeasure of being on the wrong end of biased reporters. They rarely reported your actual words, but a version of it that fits their narrative. Caitlins mistake was expecting a fair report of her words. Any comment that involved saying she admired black players will be twisted. The only way she could have avoided the effect of this interview was to have never given it. She was doomed the moment it started. They love loaded questions that leave the answer open to their choice of how to report it. My favourite example of a loaded question is: Do you still beat your wife? Any answer is going to be wrong.
I would like a follow up on her white privilege as a grandmother that has spent 3k taking the kids to see her what being white made her better i have to new wilson basketballs for the girls already from Santa but untill she address this im done spending
Why is it so important to you that you are unable to follow a dedicated, hardworking, smart, committed jaw-droppingly talented athlete -- even if you disagree? I'm not understanding ....
Hey grandma, you’re proving her point. Your only supporting her because you think she’s a White non woke conservative basketball player. Says allot about you mama.
They broke Caitlin Clark. Hopefully this Time article is the end of this and we don't have to hear any more woke bullshit from CC. That would turn me off and I'd probably stop watching. I hope the WNBA is happy ruining their goat. But I get it she's trying to make peace. I say screw peace and dominate this league.
It’s difficult to not comment on the fact that Clark is to neutral because of her upbringing as a Catholic, I’m saying that having lived that for 23 yrs of my early life. I’m a Christian now. Taurasi has targeted rookies and her dastardly couch says that because of Clark popularity and supposedly her stupid fans she was going to be purposely targeted! This is an indisputable fact! Caitlin needs to call black, black and not try to appease everyone! The WNBA targeted her period. CC statistics were better than several members of the Olympic Team and she had what the team sorely lacked; 3 point range and assists, besides all the rest of her game beginning with leadership! Surely Clark is smart enough to know that! I understand why she is overly diplomatic and I don’t like it. Sometimes you have to take tough stances and I understand she’s 22. Carrington targeted Caitlin’s eyes! You don’t swipe at a ball pointing all your fingers to poke the ball! You’ll break them; who doesn’t know that! I’ve played all my 69 yrs of life and always swiped open handed and the ball was no where near the vicinity of the ball CC threw! Clark is too “nice” to a fault so as too not make waves, sometimes the boat needs rocking and challenge people to bring it on! I know I’m a man and Clark is not. I’ve lived in the streets of Skid Row in downtown LA evangelizing so I’m a little different and in 26 yrs have had to fight physically. You had to be there to understand; sucker punch is my red line; Carter is lucky.
I agree, Charlie Brown. I need to stop reading comments though because some of them are just so disturbing and come from an uninformed person which is OK they have the right to do so but I need not to read it.
I think this is the one thing I agree with. Although I do think Caitlin was good enough that Lynx Olympic coach played favorites and purposely didn't play Sabrina Ionescu to screw with her confidence. Caitlin would have rode the bench which would be worse for her.
There were 35 flagrant fouls called this year in the WNBA, 34 if you exclude Diana Taurasi’s later-removed call. Values in parentheses represent percentages without this flagrant. Example: 34/35 and 34/34 reported as 97% (100%) Players fouling Caitlin Clark accounted for 17.1% (17.6%) of all flagrants this year. 1.4% (11.8%) of all flagrant fouls were Chicago Sky players fouling Caitlin Clark. And she says she was not targeted?
@@russelhughes1066 Maybe, but I don't believe anything she said will make it better for her unless she continues to kowtow to her bullies. This will not be enough, they're always going to want more.
Anyone arguing for chelsea gray over caitlin clark for the olympic team was doing exactly what they accused others of, picking for reasons other than talent. Chelsea gray could barely run and was a complete shell of herself and jewel lloyd was having one of the worst shooting seasons of her career. If they really cared about giving that team the best chance to win clark and arike would have been on that team.
Silly me, I was naive enough to think CC would be a rare public figure who would just be honest, or at the very LEAST, not actively lie. Just veering so far to the side of excusing or denying certain behavior made me lose all interest in her. The sheer dishonesty to claim she wasn't targeted. Screw that.
Or to go so far as to throw Christine Brennan under the bus while denying DJ intentionally poked her in the eye. That led to Ms Brennan being vilified for asking a valid question.
So, some people are saying it's because she doesn't want to play the victim card, nor likes being percieved as a victim. Venom Attacks mentioned this as he was unpacking it : ) ... That actually seemed reasonable to me, especially from a player who prides herself in working hard at playing great ball.
She spoke smart, if she said she was targeted, next season would have been worse than this one, and everyone would do it really frequently since her teammates don’t look the throwing hands type
*COMO SIEMPRE GRAN CONTENIDO, GRACIAS RACHEL. !!!* *POR CELOS, ESPECIALMENTE DE TAURASI; ES QUE NO LA LLAMARON AL EQUIPO OLÍMPICO.* *CREÓ QUE LOS ANIMALITOS A LOS QUE VAS A ABRAZAR VAN A TENER UNA NAVIDAD ESPECTACULAR, GRACIAS A TÚ BUEN Y NOBLE CORAZÓN, ...MIL GRACIAS POR ELLO !!!*
CC loves the game, her teammates, the league & especially the fans. She elevates all around her. Aja & Reese are selfish players only concerned with their own celebrity & making it seem like the league would not exist without them. There is real obvious truth they both need to face & get over themselves. That is if they leave this league will continue to grow, but if CC leaves they back to 2023 instead of growing exponentially. Neither Aja or Angel are fan friendly, they are both toxic, arrogant, tone deaf, narcissists who feel they deserve the VIP treatment & they don’t care about anything but that. It’s not what attracts fans. Just play the game & stop with all the drama & claiming to be victims.
I think the privilege comment was just a social norm for kids her age; it is something that is said so often a lot of kids take it into themselves. In my mind, "uplifting" ALL players should be natural and not tied to race. Just because I disagree with her politics does not mean that Im not going to support the Fever (and the Valkyries too)
She was obviously lying about the targeting. I am sure her family and friends watched the replays and talked to her about it and she saw the tapes too. This is starting to look like a pattern of lying to fans, this is going to damage her brand. Second, it is starting to look like all this is going to her head and she thinks she has more influence than she actually has and this too will come back to bite her (there is no way she can "elevate" other players). Remember what goes up can come back down, women college viewership has collapsed back to pre Clark numbers.
I love watching CC play . I don’t necessarily agree with some of the things said in the interview, but basketball is basketball. I’ll continue to watch 🏀 I hope ticket prices go down with tons of fans leaving 😂😂😂
It seems diplomacy got the best of CC. I understand...but she really needs to avoid any future interviews like this if she wants to stay real and truthful.
What was she supposed to say. She has no one but the fans on her side. She won't have a very long career if this keeps up, so she tries to toe the league line and make peace, but I don't think it will help. Jordan had fans, the team, the league and some media. The league, officials, players, WNBA media, many players are against her. Her own team and owner was worthless defending her. Her own coach told the entire team to not respond. Without any response why would they stop? and her biggest supporters are from outside the WNBA, which have little influence on the WNBA.
Great words. Well said. And what I like about those words is we don't have bow to her are support her or her clothes for our kids or support state farm Gatorade or buy tickets etc etc etc. You know what I mean. Great thinking
People should leave CC alone. She must have a reason for her comments. Don't judge until you know why. Just enjoy her playing style. Karma will come to all the bad ones if they are. CC just needs all of our support.
But SHE is the one who brought it up. SHE invited the judgement. To blame her privilege for her success is disingenuous at best. She earned her stripes and she was demonstrating her talent. Now she is just one more whiny white girl. Her message to young girls that if they work hard it doesn't matter...you only get ahead because of your privilege. What a terrible message to young athletes.
If I read the Time magazine article correctly...it was her privilege and not her talent that got her to the WNBA. And, if we continue the faulty logic, privilege kept her off the Olympic squad. So much bullsh%t. So disappointing. I expected better from her.
Don't think you read it correctly mate! I think you read it with quite a bit of bias! She merely acknowledged that white privilege does exist, which it does, and went on to say in the same breath that she feels that she has earned everything that she has achieved. Not exactly a capitulation! Anyway, why do you care? Why is this such a big deal to you? She is and has been a uplifting personality. Why do you ignore that aspect of her character? There is also "black privilege", wouldn't you agree? What kind of hazing or flagrant fouls did Angel Reese suffer during HER rookie season? How many times was she blind side knocked to the floor? Or, any black rookie for that matter? So, it does swing both ways. She is a good kid and the attempt at assassinating her character smells of white supremacists. They would be the only bottom feeders that I can think of that would stoop so low as to try to hurt a good kid.
Hey Rachel there are pods out there like Jason Whitlocks and co hosts saying basically she is done to them because in the interview she bowed to the black players when she said she wanted to promote some of the strong black players that come before her. Do you have thoughts on this thinking and totally promoting people shouldn’t buy any WNBA paraphernalia because of what Caitlin said. Whitlock adored her before this interview,
@@KevinPauling She has bowed to nobody! She is being true to herself as she always has. If Caitlins remarks upset or offend you, maybe the problem lies within you! Don't buy any merch! That will teach them! Of course, you were never going to buy merch or go to a game anyway. You do you dude, just let Caitlin be Caitlin! Thats' fare! Why can't you people do that? I fail to see what all the drama is about unless you are racist, which most, maybe all of the detractors obviously are! 159 years since the end of the Civil War and were are still fighting the struggle! Unbelievable!
My thoughts on Brennan's questions to Dejonae Carrington. Asking the questions was not wrong. She approached a topic that was being discussed all over social media. Her semantics, her wording or framing of the question was juvenile. As a seasoned journalist she had a total brain fart. It was mind boggling to hear. Something like this was all she needed to say; Dejonae, there has been a lot of discussion about the incident in game 1 involving Caitlin, I would like to give you the opportunity to address that. Now the ball is fairly in the court for Dejonae to answer however she likes.. But No, she stumbled and stuttered around like a high school student writing a story for the HS newspaper. Good grief. Her question structure started out as a hot mess, and it was all downhill from there.
Rubbish. She worded it just fine. Good grief. Carrington is an adult women. Why can't she handle a straightforward question? The reaction to it the angry activists was embrassing. Imagine being so upset by a question from a highly regarded and experienced sports journalist (a progressive one at that) that the women's basketball players association called for Brennan's credentials to be revoked or disciplined in some way. 🤦♀️🤦♂️

She is facing "coin dilemma".. white or black.. America has been white and black since 1887😊
How can she say she wasn't targeted??? is she really that oblivious to what was going on......Wow.
I don’t blame her because she will get it now
Angel Reese was targeted harder. Just comes with the rookie territory
@@GreaterThanWealth😂 Yea right. She has a special whistle and got away with everything even stat padding.
@@MrSoulauctioneer 👍👍👍
Nope... she's toast. Trust me... wait till Fever ticket prices plummet next year.
She doubled down. She said I said what I said
What did you expect Caitlin Clark to say.
I think she is made for this because she truly understands we just need to update these misinformed fans of how this works
regardless of everything, we still love caitlin as basketball player man. i will continue to support and watch her games. lets go!
She knows that it's not in her best interest to be a cry baby like the players who targeted her
She's smart
And it's a biblical principal to turn the other check
I'm just glad she didn't lose her eye 👁️
That actually makes some sense as opposed to someone else saying "she knows physical play from other WNBA is not personal."
@@cooloutac I seriously doubt she will go down as the dumbest athlete in history, I can see why YOU would think that.
Yea. Crazy
Reese definitely cheered for the push. She had clear sight to chennedy pushing her and immediately got up after c'mon caitlin.
Caitlin Clark said she didn't see the stats padding player was cheering.
Rachel is right about Carrington Mabrey doing the 3pter gesture being mistaken as an eye poke taunt. People who actually watch bball would know that.
Well said Rachel❣️
CC is trying to please everyone and it’s not working.
it is not working for you.
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do bro. Sometimes you have to be wise.
It's not working for you. Yall mad

Great Commentary.
Absolutely 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Never apologize for being who God created you to be period.
Next Forbes Magazine and then she is Nominated for the World Sports Award in Britain.
I hope she stays away from politics,
issues etc. and just focus on her game.
Listen ppl what good will it do her to say o ya they were targeting me is that going to help her i dont think so just play basketball and get over it thats what her parents taught her and you ppl are just as bad cause you want to continue the drama let it go its over
She shouldn’t have said it one way or the other then fan intrigued would’ve remained high. It was a loss to say anything
Thankfully she doesn't have to say it, Kelsey Plum already said it when you're a little white girl coming into a league made up by of 85% black girls that want to take your head off it's real.
Here’s a comment for the kitty cat’s. 😂 Caitlin doesn’t think Angel was cheering on Kennedy after she decked her? Come on!
The ALPHA on Hoops talk. simply the best. When tiny small talk doesn't cut it, Rachel is big at engaging me in everything I need to know, great insight. ❤
thank you so much for watching 😊!!
Coaches are teachers at all levels. Sides forgot she's a teacher.
I think the WNBA should be grateful Caitlin is nice. Because the wrong person with her following could have easily used headlines against the league considering all the funny decisions they've made.
Olympics being a big one. She should have been on that roster but I'm glad she wasn't because lots of then didn't like her anyways.
Chennedy Carter should have been ejected from that game. Maybe it would have slowed down the rough play
In the history of basketball there is no situation where you cup your hand into a spear
It was obviously intentional
Yes, but "her truth" is not related to actual truth.
Clark was the most prolific scorer in college basketball history she should have been on the olympic team!!
CC comes off as an enabler. She might have come out of it fi e, but the next player they try that same behavior could cost a player their career due injury.
And this is drama that we just don't have in mens sports. Thankfully. And also why womans sports will suffer if they can't get away from the drama.
I just dont understand the need for players to use claws for the game.its just rediculous and dangerous.
❤Love your videos ❤, no matter what Caitlin has said, for me it's done with and time to move forward ❤
She wasn’t good enough? She beat that team
She’s going to lose a lot of fans coming out as woke.
Yesh I'm done with her but older fans didn't even read article.
Why?! I dont get it? You like to watch her play, but you all dont hold the same opinions? That's why? It's so wierd to me.
The only bullshit is from the people who cry woke every time they hear something they don't agree with.
This comment is to help rescue stray kitties
You had to be there to understand; sucker punch is my red line; Carter is lucky.
great video.
Let the people who abuse her hold her up
Y’all gotta let this stuff go. If she is ok with it, move on. The W is tough.
There were 35 flagrant fouls called this year in the WNBA, 34 if you exclude Diana Taurasi’s later-removed call. Values in parentheses represent percentages without this flagrant. Example: 34/35 and 34/34 reported as 97% (100%)
Players fouling Caitlin Clark accounted for 17.1% (17.6%) of all flagrants this year.
1.4% (11.8%) of all flagrant fouls were Chicago Sky players fouling Caitlin Clark.
And she says she was not targeted?
I think we know she has to say that or I will be worse next year because nobody protects her
@@russelhughes1066 Maybe, but I don't believe anything she said will make it better for her unless she continues to kowtow to her bullies. This will not be enough, they're always going to want more.
Clark only problem is she to dam nice😂..people get mad when they cant get nothing out of her to try and stir some shit up.

CC should not have brought her privilege, if she wants to help the W catering to them is not the way
I mean, I don't give an uck about basketball until now...
If people in America can keep it about basketball only that'd be great.
Just because I disagree with her politics does not mean that Im not going to support the Fever (and the Valkyries too)
Temi was jealous tjo, shes something else
I just want the next season to start, and get back to actual basketball. The drama is ridiculous, and a total turn off from the WNBA.
Well, do you think she won't continue to wade in on SJ matters?
@TheLincolnrailsplitt I'd rather she didn't. Makes no difference, and just pisses of sports fans. Stick to actual basketball.
@@ricksterbobolishious7523well she will. So buckle up
If you go back to the laughing and the 3 to the dome as you say, Marina Màybre is telling her to poke her in the eye. Read her lips.
You're a pure hater, or troll of the haters. Turning a blind eye on what she's done on elevating her teammates.
I love watching CC play . I don’t necessarily agree with some of the things said in the interview, but basketball is basketball. I’ll continue to watch 🏀 I hope ticket prices go down with tons of fans leaving 😂😂😂
The Fever is about to the same attendance as they had in 2023. Average of less than 2500. Maybe she wanted to be traded to Atlanta...😂
CC doesn’t need anyone's approval. Only wsy you know what she really means demands you to live in her head which you dont. She's not bowing to you.😅😅
Great words. Well said. And what I like about those words is we don't have bow to her are support her or her clothes for our kids or support state farm Gatorade or buy tickets etc etc etc. You know what I mean. Great thinking
Caitlin Clark class
People should leave CC alone. She must have a reason for her comments. Don't judge until you know why. Just enjoy her playing style. Karma will come to all the bad ones if they are. CC just needs all of our support.
You're not alone. People make mistakes, they're human, live and learn. I'm still a fan.
Nah. It shows she can’t stand pact. This was a bad decision.

Good video. I played it at 1.5x, so you were even more out of breath!
If I read the Time magazine article correctly...it was her privilege and not her talent that got her to the WNBA. And, if we continue the faulty logic, privilege kept her off the Olympic squad. So much bullsh%t. So disappointing. I expected better from her.
Nope you read it completely wrong but that is what trolls do.
